Accountant Used the software for: ### "Bad Service" May 19, 2014 1.0 After our Certify sales rep assured us that implementation would be a breeze, even with our somewhat complex corporate structure and approval process, we decided to sign the initial contract. Turns out that implementation was not so straight-forward and we had to delay it until after our busy season. Even after we gave notice to Certify that we would be delaying implementation the monthly billing didn't stop. They kept billing us for 10 users, and all of the extra services every month, even though nothing had been implemented. When we asked for a little grace to suspend services until we had time to implement, they just kept sending bills and threatened collection if we didn't pay. Never had a software vendor do this before. We are now ready to just quit on Certify, and head over to Concur. Review Source TM Todd M. The Certify software saves me approximately 90 minutes per week versus the most recent previous process we were provided. I no longer have to make copies of each and every receipt, I do not have to put a print-out and receipts into an envelope, apply postage, and go to the post office. Our finance department switched us to Certify approx. 18 months ago and I am still thanking them. My one concern was being able to easily reconcile my credit card statement. I submit an expense infrequent enough that I sometimes need a reminder on how to do it, and Customer Support is always willing to walk me through it how to do it from start to finish. I have never once been directed to a "read it on your own" user guide, but the live interaction helps me get this done quickly and efficiently. Pros I love the ease of this software. It is extremely easy to navigate as well as figure out how to submit an expense report on your own. And even when you don't know, Support is always there to help. Cons If I had to pick something negative about this software, I would have to say that integrating my Uber travel with the software in order for a smoother expense process. Review Source Sharon W. The approval process is automated as well I recieve an email when a expense report is ready to be aproved and if I can get it all approved at one time it saves where I left off and then I can pick it back up the next time I log in before sending it on to the next step in the approval process. Pros Ease of use I am an approver for my team and I use it to track my expenses as well so I have a user and administrator perspective for how easy it is to use. We untilize both the computer and mobile app and both are equally easy to use and the mobile app can do everything that you can do from the browser. Cons So far I have not found anything I don't like about it. It has allowed for better communication within the team with the regards to expense reporting. Pros I like that I get individual emails when each employee submits an expense report. With the ability to attach receipt to the claim it keeps our system very organized and we never miss anything. Our CFO found Certify and what a profit in our business. 90% of the time I can enter the expense within 5 minutes of getting the receipt. I hang onto the receipts and compare them before submitting my weekly report. Simple and fast. Took a little getting use to the logic of generating a report. Like any new software and with someone internal to our organization who is knowledgeable, you get the hang of it. I would never choose to change back. Pros Not having to submit physical copies and entering expenses as they happen. Cons I have bad luck forwarding emailed expenses. My boss typically can't read them. I'm not sure what the system does to these emails but maybe storing them as a PDF would help? I like being able to enter items in the project as they happen and not have to keep each item until I complete a paper expense report, too often items were lost or forgotten. Cons The tutorial was a little vague at first use, but the support contact was very helpful. I would like to see an opportunity to batch submit so you don't have to enter the same data (date, meal, mileage) etc. for each day on multiple date trips. Review Source Ashley G. It is also easy to submit the report and you can get approval from your management within minutes to get reimbursed. Cons I like most everything about it. The app for the smart phone makes it so easy to take a picture of an expense receipt without having to keep track of, which is great when traveling. Customer service is superior for when you need to change travel they assist within minutes and keep you moving all with ease and updates. Cons None it works great for my needs.
