I don't worry any longer about where receipts are. Everything is right there in my phone. I love it. Pros Being able to take a photo of the receipt is exceptional. I have a bad habit of miss-placing receipts. Now that isn't an issue. It's so easy even I can use it. \*smile\* I can make decisions about the expense and travel without having to wait. Customer Service is top of the line. They are also very friendly. Cons I haven't found any cons...yet. I doubt that I will. It is a little regimented. November 23, 2021 5.0 Really like it, user friendly, love the sort feature where you can sort the source, cc, receipt whatever, that helps a lot! Do like that it doesn't sync with Netsuite. Pros Love the receipt flexibility. photo or upload to app to sync. Also very easy to forward receipts by email. Cons Set up is complicated, lots of controls to give access to to make sure setup is good, sometimes small ones are missed and employees get frustrated not having access or trying to proceed, fine turning needed. Credit cards don't always sync, very frustrating. Mine never did after weeks and weeks of troubleshooting. Doesn't sync with Netsuite is a real negative for our accounting dept. April 25, 2019 1.0 Pros The features all seemed great, after sitting through weeks of training, programming, and implementation, for nothing. Cons The sales people will lie about KNOWN ISSUES regarding small business cards NOT BEING ABLE TO INTEGRATE. They will take thousands of dollars from you to go through the entire set-up and programming of your company file, only to come to a screeching halt at the last step before launching your company into beta testing... credit card integration. Certify KNOWS that its system cannot connect with small business cards, yet they will tell you it does, just to get you to sign a contract. After being unable to launch our system, we asked to put our full implementation on hold in order to switch our small business cards to corporate cards. They began to bill us for ALL users, not just ACTIVE users as was listed in the contract (yes, we had deactivated everyone since not a single user could actually use a card within the system). After a month, and now days before placing an order for new corporate cards, we receive an email from Certify that our account has been closed and cancelled. They took our set-up money and ran, refusing to give us reasonable time to go through the process of getting cards that would even work with their system. STAY AWAY!! Review Source Adam P. Pros The software is easy to use. I've used both Certify and Concur for expense tracking. Both are good packages. However, Certify has an edge with the mobile app. The App on an iphone is really fast and the best part is it can scan your reciept to populate fields. This feature works with images that you take for example I will do a screen capture then submit the image. The Certify software doesn't a good job of grabbing info to fill in your report. This makes it simple and fast while on the go. I do my expenses while mobile. Cons Nothing that I can think of it is expense tracking software so If it doesn't get in the way you can't complain. September 1, 2017 5.0 Pros They have a terrific support staff that helps all the employees with any issues they may have using the app. Having the ability to take a photo of receipts is very helpful in the problem with missing receipts. The initial set up was quick & we were able to import the expense reports directly into our accounting software eliminating errors. I don't have any issues with the program, aside from the times where adding a receipt sometimes duplicates the expense. Pros Certify is fairly intuitive platform that our company uses for expense management. It can handle quite a lot of expenses, and also has a pretty simple app you can use as well. Cons I find that some of the areas of the site are a bit confusing - adding receipts for instance sometimes duplicates expenses if you aren't paying attention. March 11, 2020 5.0 Pros I love the look of it. It is immediately inviting, and doesn't appear overwhelming. The options are user friendly, and everything is fairly straight-forward. I like that I was able to complete most everything on my own without assistance - that's how simple the software is! The last program I used was not very easy to use, especially when it came to adding or attaching receipts. Certify does a great job of smoothing out all the wrinkles of complication, and making it an easy and even enjoyable experience to fill out an expense report. Cons So far, I haven't found anything that has created any kind of stumbling block. Every field is so easy to navigate and understand, and is really set up with a good flow that is simple to follow. Pros I like that it is done online and once I complete the expense report it will automatically notify everyone in the chain of command that it is completed and submitted. Cons It is not as easy as I would like to connect receipts to the report and I typically scan them on my printer and save to a file on the computer. It should store any previously used receipts in a "completed" folder so they don't continue to come up when I'm trying to attach new receipts to a new report. Review Source Edward H. September 1, 2017 1.0 Pros absolutely nothing enough said, I have to put 100 characters in this response, which makes no sense, which is pretty much par for the course for Certify Cons not intuitive, needs to remember my preferences on taking pics of receipts, needs to remember my preferences as I process receipts, needs to do better at receipt recognition user interface at PC is horrible in trying to decipher what is wrong on a receipt. It was not very intuitive. The most difficult part was entering and finding your receipts. It took a while to figure this out. Now I find it pretty easy to use. It's easy to take a photo of your receipt w/ your Certify App and add this to your account. It's also easy to load your c/c info on the site so that whenever you use it, your expense automatically gets added to your account. I would like to see less steps when approving Expense Reports, from the time you "approve" to "submit". There are a lot of steps. Pros Now that I know how to use it - ease of use, ease of adding receipts to your account; easy to edit an expense as needed. Cons I found it very difficult to use when I first started. Certify makes it so I don't have to carry around a bunch of little receipts, or worry that I lost one - I can just take a photo, upload to my wallet, and toss them. Combine that with other streamlined processes like automatically figuring mileage, and submitting a report with one click, saves everyone time and money. There are so many details to keep track of when travelling, simplifying expense reporting makes a big difference in my job satisfaction. Pros Having a program that I can use with my computer, or phone, is imperative when travelling. Certify makes it easy to upload my receipts using several methods, depending on my needs at the time. Notifications are automatic, which lets me get on to other parts of my job without having to worry about following up on my expense submissions. Cons It took a little while to get used to using it, but I think that is a factor when learning to use any robust platform. One thing I would really like is the option for a person in accounting to pre-check the report before final submission, since it's problematic to get it "re-approved" if something has to be changed. The system has a great process then for moving expense reports through the organization for approvals and/or comments if need be. Pros Certify brings some order to the otherwise chaotic process of tracking receipts for expenses. There are several ways to import receipts, from your mobile device via the app or via the webpage on your PC. The layout makes alot of sense and its just an intuitive product to use. Other wise, our old way was so much easier, clear. Pros Pros: It does exactly what it says, and that is balance your books/receipts for you. Best for expense reports and does help to simplify them. Cons It is frustrating because of certain things that you have to do when preparing an expense report, but the software doesn't tell you that. April 27, 2018 4.0 Pros It's an easy application to use and train others. The phone app, and email receipts are very convenient and work well. Exporting reports to Excel is a great feature. Cons Glitches, and interfacing with QB is a bit clunky.
