My overall experience with Cornerstone was good. I used it for over 3 years and never had an issue with it. Other than wanting new features and enhancements.

Pros

Cornerstone is an easy and simple platform to use and train others on. It’s easy patient management and navigation. However, there are multiple ways to complete a single task.

Cons

The think I liked least about the Cornerstone software is they do not make an updates or improvements within the game platform.

I used Cornerstone for 15 years before switching. I have fond memories of cornerstone. It served me well in those 15 years. But sadly there are better options out now if you want advanced software.

Pros

For the price it did what it was supposed to. The customer service support was excellent and truly couldn't have been better. The system was glitchy, but support always would remote in and update or fix anything that needed to be fixed. Loved that you could run a good number of reports and you could custom create a report if you wanted to. Easy for staff to learn.

Cons

It was a little "clunky" at times and counterintuitive on how to find some information. But it does the job. If you don't need a lot of bells and whistles. Support is excellent

Overall, Cornerstone has been a reliable and comprehensive practice management system, but efficiency can be impacted by speed and flexibility limitations.

Reliable workflows, intuitive charts, strong reporting, and dependable support that keeps clinics go

Occasional lag, limited customization, slow updates, and workflow disruptions that reduce efficiency during busy days

I would say overall the experience is positive. It is very easy for appointment scheduling and tracking, analytics and reporting on the back end are very easy to access and customize. With the addition of a digital treatment sheet or integration it would be my program of choice.

Pros

Cornerstone is an all around decent program. It is simple to use and integrates well will all Idexx blood analyzers, which is nice. The customer support and initial staff training are extensive.

Cons

I worry that Cornerstone is becoming outdated with the new all in one Practice Management software and digital treatment sheets. We were using a two different programs in Cornerstone and then a digital treatment sheet which produces a lot of back and forth for the team. I am sure it is coming but Cornerstone integrating or producing its own treatment sheet program would be great.

My experience was overall a good one - honestly, if there was a way to get all of the software for a smaller cost, we would not have switched.

Pros

Patient Management, Reporting, Security, Customer Support, Appointment Scheduling, Staff Training, and that is it

Cons

The price was the major con of Cornerstone. As a small business, it was not realistic for the price, even if it is a good program

Pros

Easy enough to use; looked a look like an Xcel spreadsheet & the patient charting was simple. Linked to our labs with Zoetis.

Cons

Inventory never worked, couldn’t delete items if you ever had them on a pick list or an invoice. Inventory didn’t track well and was never correct. Slow speed and would crash frequently.

I did like the level of detail and able to see the alerts as pop ups on each patient when you pulled up the chart.

Pros

Able to view multiple details of patient in one window. Good reports with lots of details and search options to narrow down my report.

Cons

how slow the cloud version was. Also didn't like that it looks very old school. Very old display. Would like body maps.

We had cornerstone cloud which became obsolete. We then had to switch to another web based software

Pros

I liked the flexibility of scheduling and attaching documents. It made it simple and linked to patient file you were currently on.

Cons

Inventory. Inventory turned into a nightmare. I am unsure if this was from our data being converted from another software program.

It was the biggest struggle for me to learn when I entered this hospital. I've been a part of many types of veterinary software and this is by far the worst. We would reach out for help with it and no real help was every provided. Not sure why it's kept running.

Pros

It contains all of the patient's data that we need for appointments (scheduling, history, attachments, etc)

Cons

Horrible to navigate. Very outdated. Constantly freezes. Not great at syncing with other data (ex: Idexx lab results). Need a physical server in hospital that is very large and crashes sometimes. Cannot access from home.

I used Cornerstone for the first 10 years of my career and found it to be fairly intuitive and user friendly. I was able to customize my experience for the patients/clients we were seeing which streamlined my job.

Pros

I appreciate the amount of customization that can be done to meet a clinic's specific needs. The ability to create custom forms is a huge bonus.

Cons

The fact that Cornerstone is tied to a server and can't be a cloud based software. If the server crashes it causes a lot of headaches.
