The mobile app allows me to scan receipts at point of purchase before they get misplaced. Most of the time it works seamlessly, and I cannot imagine tracking expenses without it. Pros Expensify is easy to use and scans receipts well. The mobile app is a pleasure to use. Expensify integrates well with Xero. It support multiple currencies. Overall it just works. Cons While Expensify is easy for me to use, it isn't so easy for the administrator. Costs can quickly escalate, especially for larger teams. Customer support isn't as prompt as it could be. Not only do they not know how to help repair software glitches or issues. Their pricing isn't as transparent as I would hope. We were suppose to be locked in at $5 per user and they tried multiple times to charge more so I had to keep disputing. Pros Nothing really, the idea of it was nice at the time last year. Cons The integration never stuck and nor consistently worked with QBO or with the apps. My employees had trouble with it. Their customer service would not help either, nor let us cancel. We couldn't keep wasting time on this platform. We switched to something else. I kept proving we were not using this platform or how it would not integrate properly to please let us cancel and they refuse even when there was only a few months left for the subscription. " July 22, 2025 5.0 I enjoy using expensify. Its seamless ad smooth.Its probably one of the few platforms our organisation use that is actually easy to use. Pros The best feature that I like about Expensify is the notes feature that is available while submitting reports on expenses.These notes help your finance admin approve expenses and reimbursements even more quickly. You don't need emailing back and forth, your finance admin can simply reply on the notes section. Cons Just the inability to track expensed money can sometimes be a little stressful but not big deal nonetheless. The money always hit your account in time. It is relatively fast and easy to tag related peoples. UI is pleasant. Cons The creation of expanses and adding them to report and then submitting them is very confusing and not the best UX. It is really user friendly and it is going straight forward each time. Pros User friendly and receipt scanning works fine. It is easy to copy paste a former expense and tune it to the current needs! Cons it is quite a difficult question. Expenses are processed as expected. I've go nothing to say or add so far. Quick to learn, pleasant to use, stress-free to rely on. Great tool. Cons My only complaint is small enough that it doesn't affect my opinion on the software at all, and I imagine it will be addressed eventually anyway. Aside from the recent data breach, expensify is still good to use, it’s still effective, Pros It’s still ok just slower. They recently had a data breach and that really shocked me and made things questionable. Pros Expensive is easy to use, secure and with very good customer support. The user interface and clean and flows easily, payment and reimbursement turns into an easy go with the very good document management feature that comes with that. It really makes expense reporting much faster than previous softwares I’ve used. Pros Quick and easy to scan receipts. The software does a great job of automatically recognizing values eliminating extra steps to fill out each expense. Cons Could do a better job of organizing receipts. Pros The platform is extremely user friendly and it is easy to send your expenses and get them approved. I also love that I can have easy access to reports and follow through my expenses in the pipeline. Cons The smart scanning feature does take some time. It speeds up and avoids the annoyances of expensing. Pros The UI is very well thought. You can easily find everything you need to submit your expenses. Additionally, the feature to extract the information from the receipt works fine most of the times. It saves you some time while filling the form. Cons The feature that extracts information may take some time (in the order of minutes).
