Some are fully automated, but also are correctable if automation does not get the expected result for whatever reason. Pros I love the auto-populating feature allowing repeated expenses to be automatically categorized, but still editable! This software is a must for any company!!! Pros Expensify if a quick and easy way for employees to submit expense reports and receive reimbursement from their firms. The app has a simple interface and works easily on both user and control side. Cons The only note I have is to continue improving the already efficient app as the various details included when creating reports and specifying expenses could be done with more ease. It used to be that I would put receipts in a folder, then every year-end, go through "receipt hell" as I put all of those receipts into an Excel spreadsheet. No longer! With Expensify, all I have to do is flatten the receipt, take a picture of it, and then every three months or so go through and make sure receipts are in the right categories and line up with the right reports (meals, office supplies, and etc.) Then, at year end, just close the report! Awesome. And for $4.99 a month? That is just incredible! Cons Probably that things aren't a bit more automated, but I really don't have much bad to say about it, also I kind of wonder where all of the pictures go. Do they stay on my phone? July 23, 2025 5.0 My friend referred me to expensify as a way to keep track of receipts for our business. I got into it and realized the user interface was very easy to use. It is not some complicated software that requires a tutorial video. What is great is that you can connect a credit card to it and it will automatically keep track of transactions. If the amount is below $75, it will generate a receipts accepted by the IRS. Pros What I liked best about Expensify is the smart scanning feature. This allows me to take pictures of receipts and it then gets all the details. I can go back and look up things by date, price or name of the merchant.
