### "Easy to use "

December 16, 2024

Overall good, easy to use but need to train for the models.

Pros

Great interface for systems dynamics modeling.

Cons

Need training for systems dynamics models. More like user issue. AnyLogic is more expensive than other engine.

### "Switched to another simulationtool because of limits in AnyLogic"

December 3, 2024

3.0

there are too many libraries. This is of course very nice but when using prorgamama the first time I panicked because there are too many possibilities. This can be improved for example to basis libraries and as the extras other libraries. Integrating 3D objects did not work

Pros

I liked that many models were available on cloud as an additional resource. Also with questions that team was ready for you immediately

Cons

However, I had to switch programs. Anylogic was not able to work with objects created in autocad in a .dae format. Everything jammed and my whole model crashed. I have found a better alternative simulation program that does this very smoothly

### "Any logic: the good and the bad"

August 11, 2025

5.0

Overall, my experience with AnyLogic has been positive. It is a powerful tool that can handle complex simulations with ease, though its dated interface sometimes slows down workflow. Once you get past the learning curve, it becomes an invaluable resource.

Pros

AnyLogic offers a vast array of functions and modeling capabilities, allowing me to simulate complex systems effectively. The versatility means it can be adapted to many industries, from logistics to healthcare, and the built-in tools help streamline the simulation process.

Cons

The user interface feels very outdated compared to modern software. While it is functional, it lacks the intuitive design and visual polish that could make it more enjoyable and efficient to use, especially for beginners who may find navigation cumbersome.

### "Best tool to simulate real-life scenarios"

September 1, 2025

5.0

Pros

I was introduced to this software by my university professor. I got interested with the use-cases, and looked into cloud library. Then I started creating some real scenarios in the tool to learn modeling and simulation. Proud to say that I made a small transportation simulation that replicates local transport system of my town. Every possible and required options are available in the software.

Cons

I learned AnyLogic on my own, by going through guide book and videos. I created the model but it was difficult to operate. I felt that UX can be improved. When I zoom in or zoom out or scroll, it was not intuitive. Since there are different versions (free, paid), it is not clear which programming library will work and which not.

### "Anylogic review"

June 9, 2025

4.0

Overall, my experience with AnyLogic has been very positive. It’s an incredibly versatile tool that lets you model complex systems using agent-based, discrete event, and system dynamics methods—all in one environment. The ability to customize models with Java is a major strength, though it does come with a learning curve. Once you get past that, the level of control and flexibility is unmatched. The visual outputs are excellent for communicating results, and the cloud integration is a nice bonus for sharing models. It’s not perfect—there are UI quirks and the price is steep—but it’s a powerful platform that’s well worth the effort if you need serious simulation capabilities.

Pros

AnyLogic is incredibly versatile—being able to combine agent-based, discrete event, and system dynamics in one platform is a huge plus. The Java integration gives you full control and flexibility, and the built-in libraries save a ton of time. It's a powerful tool for complex, real-world simulations.

Cons

While AnyLogic is a powerful simulation tool, it’s not the easiest to learn—especially if you don’t have a programming background. Many advanced features require Java coding

### "Best Simulation Software Out There"

August 18, 2025

5.0

Overall, I rate this software a 9.5/10. I honestly couldn't find any other software that does the job like this one, it's honestly the most helpful tool out there, and certainly, super fun to use too.

Pros

I love how easy it is to use compared to other simulation software. Programming is also extremely efficient. The 3d engine works like a charm and I honestly couldn't be happier with it. It has all of the necessary guides online to easily get started, so you can learn the basics in less than an hour. Customer support is extremely helpful, their answer times are short and they treat you really well. Security wise, I didn't have any issues at all. It also seems extremely worth it, specially when you work at a company.

Cons

The only issue I had was the amount of tools locked behind a paywall. Some of this would be helpful in the student edition (like the git feature and having the limitation to not be able to use web sockets).

### "Good Program"

August 11, 2025

5.0

I thought it was pretty good, I think that there are some things that can be better like customer support and student use but overall it was pretty good.

Pros

Flexibility to do work and options, I liked that everything was very transparent and allowed me to get my work done.

Cons

Looks a little behind on technology graphic wise. However I think that is still very small compared to the overall project.

### "AnyLogic App"

April 7, 2025

5.0

I used this application to define how pedestrians can find their way in a house building, also to what extent they move closer to each other. But I want to mention that there should be a graphical indication rather than creating or dealing with entering information into a complicated graph-creating input. After creating a simulation, I tried to create a graphical indication, but because of graphics creation, I could not do so. And, also İf there is some education for it and a certificate with a priceless course. Please let me know. Sincerely.

Pros

AnyLogic is a useful application to see how pedestrians can prospectively move both in outdoor and indoor areas. And that application can decide to what extend they move closer to each other.

Cons

The AnyLogic application works with an easy wayfinding method. However, when I experienced and used that application, I saw that, that not take into concideration the prospectivity of movement without easy wayfinding. Because humans do not completely move by using the shortest way or the easiest way when they enter or exit a place. That also should be considered.

### "anylogic-ple-8.9.0.x86\_64 review "

October 25, 2024

5.0

Pros

Very clear structure for DES, good training materials (slides/example models) potential dedicated supports. The ease of use of this software and it allowed me to make a beautiful agent based simulation with a beautiful and easy to understand graphical interface. I loved the functionality you get for a free software and it had everything I needed to make a successful model. In addition to this, the software have a better advantage over the other software due to it has ease accessible manuals and books.

Cons

However, renaming the 'boxes' can be quite a pain - you got to make sure that you select the right region. The software was also was very unintuitive and confusing. It can be a bit hard to use. Especially if you are not tech savy.

### "ersatile Simulation Tool for Supply Chain"

February 17, 2025

5.0

AnyLogic is a strong tool for supply chain simulation, but it requires patience to master. Once learned, it offers great insights and powerful modeling capabilities for decision-making.

Pros

AnyLogic’s flexibility in handling discrete, agent-based, and system dynamics modeling is great. Its Java integration allows deep customization, making it powerful for complex supply chain and logistics simulations.

Cons

The learning curve is steep, especially for beginners. The interface feels a bit outdated, and debugging complex models can be frustrating due to limited error explanations. More built-in templates would help.

Excellent software. I would like to include more experiments and learnings in my future courses. I would also like to see industry use-cases with real life example. For example- is it used by Ford motors, Toyota?

Pros

3D visualization is excellent as well as the analysis part.

Cons

All good, just need more free webinars so that the college students can understand more about the model creation process and secondly, needs clear explanation of analysis KPIs being shown on the models.
