I have used a smart since 2013. Overall, I would give them an A minus. Customer service is phenomenal but sometimes you have to get to higher levels to get certain issues resolved. It should not be that way. Wait times are extremely long to speak to someone but that has improved lately.

Pros

I love the reminder features that can automatically go out. Some of the reporting is also very helpful. I love being able to integrate my credit card system into the POS.

Cons

I hate the fact that they are no longer going to add or modify features to the non-cloud base version.

It’s been a great experience! Everything is very simple to learn yourself and navigate. When you do need help their customer service line is amazing!

Pros

I love everything about DaySmart Pet. It makes scheduling so easy with the appointment reminders! Who has the time to manually do that anymore?

Cons

The days it wouldn’t work. There was a handful of days where they were working out bugs. It was extremely frustrating dealing with upset clients that can’t process a card because of DaySmart being down. Overall great service.

### "New Tech support policy not groomer friendly "

I love the easy navigation, reports, how the software operated. Just don't run into tech issues. It's a game of back and forth for 3 1/2 months with no fix.

Pros

I loved DaySmart from 2013 to 2023. Then they changed the tech support to AI. Before you could talk to a agent and get your software problems resolved in less then 30mins. Kind, helpful, supportive and a peace of mind, But Not now!!!!!

Cons

!!!!Tech support has gone to the pits!!!! Not suitable for busy Owners/Groomers. First you go through AI's questions. Next e-mail back and forth. Waiting game with tech support. You are in between other Client support e-mails, etc. E-mailing don't get the fix? Then they will set up a call appointment. If you think the problem is fixed. Surprise it's not!! You have to start all over. I talked to multiple tech agents explaining the issues. Problems couldn't get resolved in one day because I have grooming deadlines to meet. I can't just sit waiting for a return response. By the way i have to use my hands to groom. So how am i suppose to do that sit at the computer and e-mail back and forth!!!! Talking to a live person builds quality customer support and relations.

Of course, issues can come up sometimes, but whenever they do, the team responds quickly, fixes things right away, and clearly explains what happened. One thing I wish DaySmart Pet offered is AI-powered phone support and automated booking. It would be amazing to have calls answered and appointments scheduled automatically, especially during busy grooming hours. ### "DaySmart Review from a Grooming Business's POV"

Overall experience is a 10/10. We have been using DaySmart for close to 20 years. We rarely have an issues and when something does come up the service team is there to help you.

Pros

The Client Pet Management is great for this system. It is very easy to add now clients and update their pet status. The Reporting is pretty vast. There is countless number of reports that you can print out to help your business. I like pulling up a report that allows you to see when the last time clients were in. This provides me a list of all the customers that are due for their next hair cut. I print that out and give it to my front desk at the beginning of each month and we call up customers to make sure they book their appointments on time. There are also reports that give me the top customers by $ and I can break it down per groomer. I give that to my groomers so they can see who their top customers are for the year and they make them a special gift package at the end of the year. The Learning Curve on this system is pretty short. By day 3 a new employee will feel comfortable with navigating the system.

Cons

Improvements and Updates. I like the online book system. We implemented the online system 2 years ago and we have gone from 8% of our clients booking to 17%. That is a big jump. I would like to see more options with the online booking. Hoping to see that with future updates.

Your customer service is exceptional. I've spoken with four people today in various departments and everybody was exceptional. I was laughing on each call, and we got everything that was necessary done.

Pros

The staff are amazing. Software is wonderful. Integration to POS is key. Mainly, it's been my staff interactions that make me enjoy the product. I've been using the desktop, and it's awful, but all of the issues I have with that should be corrected once we migrate to the cloud.

Cons

The desktop version is archaic. I know this is by design to push people into the web-based version, which is my intent.

I like DaySmart and really love that I have it on my phone and can check throughout the day! I have used other softwares but for a larger company this is great product!

Pros

It’s easy to navigate and makes life so much easier with the reminders for clients! It’s pretty user friendly in that you can figure it out on your own. There are many different ways to schedule or maintain your day.

It is a little hard to teach new people how to use because it has so many different ways to achieve what your trying to do.

I highly recommend this company for all your pet business needs! The app itself is easy to use and the staff is outstanding!

Our company has been with Daysmart Pet for nearly 5 years. We are very happy with the service provided and the ease of use and efficiency with the software. It has helped us immensely manage our very busy schedule. All of the techs I've worked with at DSP have always gone above and beyond to ensure the most positive customer experience! In fact, recently they've implemented live phone calls support (instead of just the live chat) which has been extremely helpful when trying to tackle technical questions or issues. I cannot say enough good things about DSP!

Cons

I was glad to see DSP implement live support!! I would like to see minor modifications to the software such as including the year of the appt as we are already booking into 2027! Also I would like to see alternative email campaigns that can be only sent to active customers. Lastly, I would like to see the reminder services available to also send to customers 14 days before the appt date instead of just 7 days.

Pros

DaySmart is very helpful with client profiles and the value is amazing! We are so excited to customize our website and love that support is a click or call away!

Cons

There is a learning curve from the old system, but they told us this. The new system seems easier. The hardest part for our team was setting up their account on the app. It's a bit confusing, but once we figured it out, we love that everyone has access to what they need right on their phone!

I’ve used it for years now with almost zero issues. If something like a glitch comes up, the help team is easy to access and the problem resolves quickly.

So far I have not had any issues that have bothered me or caused me any stress or that I couldn’t get a work around to the issue.

### "DaySmart works ok, not good value"

Service, product, speed, and ease of use has declined massively, we are thinking about switching after 13 years of use. I've had many problems multiple issues were related to each other. When we finally fixed one bug (on your end) we lots lots of information causing us 40 hours of reception pay to re-input years worth of info. And the "bug" (which your tech team has called and claimed was on your end) has came back multiple times we have just learned to deal with it, as we do not want to lose information again. I have been using day smart since 2010 even came to a party at your office. I believe what we pay vs the product we get do not justify the cost. I have reached out and heard nothing back about our issues.suggestions I've made but haven't been changed.- being able to add "pet name" to reminders (most clients have more then one pet and they get frustrated that they do not know which has a appointment)- fix the rabies bug. 75% of our inputted rabies do not show up under medical tab.- automated text replys- frequently used text replys (stored for easy texting)- Be able to send multiple text confirmations (3days then if not confirmed again @ 1day)- Hold times for support is almost impossible to use when we are running a salon. Then we are always transfered multiple times since our issues are on your end.

For the most part I'm not unhappy with the product my biggest beef is that for the amount of use that I get out of the overall product the amount I pay is ridiculous. I'm only using it for my appointment scheduling and half the time I can't see that.

The longer I use the product the more I learn about the product. I am happy with the overall performance there are some things that I would consider to be a little bit annoying.

Cons

It's been 12 years I've been using this product and I still don't know all the ins and outs because I think they change rather quickly. I think the cost to use this product is excessive and I have been looking to find a much better way of managing my appointments. As a Canadian the price is like $170 a month and then you can access any of your other groomersTo see what's going on even though you're the administrator and the manager and the owner. And that certainly annoys me. You're a number of other things I could probably mention but I'm not gonna get into it.

Reason for choosing DaySmart Pet

When I bought my business DaySmart was already a part of it. And I owned my software at the time since then many things have changed when is it being the pricing has been readily going up each year. I no longer own the product I'm informed I just rented. I wish it wasn't so troublesome to change or go to something different that wasn't breaking my bank but up to this pointI haven't made the decision to go forward with changing it. I called and talked about the pricing and was told there's nothing they could do. Unless I went to the cloud unfortunately I don't know the difference between the cloud and when I'm using on my PC. Which puts me at a disadvantage to make any kind of a decision

I schedule a year in advance or more and can easily do this with DaySmart Pet. The week & day advance appt reminders are a time saver. My clients love it!

Cons

Easier upload & access of photos (I take after photos of the groom). Easier upload & access of ancillary documentation - I have a 3 page grooming consent & client info form that I'd love to have integrate easily. Not happy when the price went up, especially since I'm a one woman shop & the features I use haven't changed in 10+yrs.

It does payroll I have save so very much time. Employees login & out them self, commission is calculated. It is so easy to find a client it looks them up by name or phone number or pet. You can save info so very much & photos.

It’s been very good, it’s very easy to use, I haven’t needed all the features but if someone did they have it all

Pros

Program works really well. I’ve had this for way over 15 years. I like that it has up dates, it’s an all in one package! Customer service is spot on, I’m never disappointed,.

### "Advanced features don't work. Company lies and won't give refund. "

Terrible. Left them after a year. Should have done it right away but kept believing them that the product would get fixed. They should refund me at least 1200.00. I paid 200/month for services that didn't work and still don't.

Pros

Not much. The product was very old feeling and I guess the one thing MoeGo doesn't do that Daysmart did was mark the notification that a dog was ready to pick up in a different color. MoeGo is so much better at everything else, including block scheduling, that I'll forgo that for a few months while they add it. So many upgrades already delivered from when we moved to them that I bet it will be there Amon the next few months.

Cons

The customer service can't help because the product is full of place holders for future entices that are currently not available. But they refuse to downgrade your subscription to only charge for what is actually working. Reputation management doesn't work because the reviews don't actually go to Facebook or google they go to Daysmart which isn't anything anyone looks at. Several other things are like that.

Reason for choosing DaySmart Pet

I just left Daysmart pet and went to MoeGo. Way better in every way.
