Wouldn't switch unless there was a ver concerning issue. But we've never had any in the past so we will continue to use. Pros Its efficient and very easy to use. Anytime I have any issues or need help the customer service reps do great walk through's. Cons With payment processing if clients use a bank accounts it automatically says it's been accepted and to "check terminal / bank account". I never did this in the past and then noticed most of the bank account's were denied and the money was removed without any notifications to us. I wish JR had something (similar to their card processing) that would let us know when a payment is denied. Alternatives considered [QuickBooks Enterprise](https://www.capterra.com/p/174984/QuickBooks-Enterprise/) Reasons for choosing Jackrabbit Dance Would have used Enrollio. I've only used JR in the past. Enrollio did have a better system of following leads. The buttons are clear, and you can save reports for easy access later down the road! Cons Recital or Performance section doesn't tell you what the student is assigned to. UGH! We do 3 performances and have to use Microsoft Access to organize our recitals/performances. Wish Jackrabbit could just do it so we don't have to export and keep 2 databases up to date. Cons It was difficult to be able to modify different billing details. at first, as a small studio it could be considered expensive for some but not once fully and properly implemented. Cons The recital/shows management could be more integrated with the rest of the platform- you can't adjust someone's recital participation from their profile. We are able to run a multi-layered company fairly smoothly. I have looked into other companies, and have not been confident we would have all the tools jackrabbit offers. Pros Overall we are happy with Jackrabbit. I view alot of posts complaining that they are unable to speak with someone for assistance on the spot, their customer support is great. They reply quickly and work until our issue is resolved. I honestly have come to like this way of communication. Cons Billing, although it has improved. We have various billing dates for various areas of our business and I have to manipulate things to make it work. Jackrabbit has been supportive in giving guidance, but it can still prove to be difficult. And I am disappointed in Jackrabbit pay. We were forced to switch to them, and I do feel our previous merchant was better. I appreciate all of the updates. I do wish there was a way to opt out of certain ones like camps and appointments. We do not have use for those Pros Easy to use and to teach others how to use. Love the parent portal and that parents can see all messages sent to them. Customer support is awesome! Always there to help and never make me feel dumb for not knowing something. Cons I wish there was a faster way to enroll a lot of students at once. I wish we didn’t have to pay for inactive students. I know we can send them to lead but then when the come back I have to remember and pull from lead file and merge accounts. If I don’t remember they look like a new family. More so than other software we have used. This is our current software. Pros Jackrabbit shows a thorough overview of your business and has many options for reports. You are able to break down income reports by genre, class, students, year, etc. Cons The transaction summary on each client account can sometimes be confusing. The running balance is often hard to track. It is easy to miss charges on accounts if you have rules set. Totally customizable. Schedules can integrate with your website. You can email and text through the service. It offers many easy options for billing and tracking. Pros Ease of online registration and seemless integration with a Family Portal which allows families to stay on top of their accounts, including billing. Cons Some improvements needed for tracking a drop-in pre-paid punch card system. Switched from [Mindbody](https://www.capterra.com/p/40229/MINDBODY/) At the time of the switch, they did not have a functional online registration system that gave families the ability to register for their classes etc. The admin workload was enormous. The company is receptive to feedback and always willing to help you with a problem. Pros I love the customer service. Whenever you have a question they’re eager to get you an answer quickly. Cons I feel like some of the features could be streamlined for ease for dance studios. Reasons for choosing Jackrabbit Dance Felt it was easier to use. I think it was more user-friendly and more administrative friendly.
