### "I love iCIMS"

My overall experience has been good with iCIMS. This is the second company that I have worked with that use iCIMS. The first company, everyone was all in and it made it easier to use all the functions and to take full advantage of the entire product. The second company is coming along because it is small, but as we grow, they will see the value of the entire system.

Pros

The ease of use and the functionality from a recruiter's prespective.

Cons

Making changing can be a daunting exercise.

### "A Great Tool for Talent Acquistion"

Overall, it is a very user-friendly software and does the job pretty well. Candidates' screening and interview scheduling are very easy to work with.

Pros

It allows a lot of flexibility to track the candidate pool and match them with the requisition. The whole candidate tracking system is very helpful in staying on top of the right talent for our open requisitions.

Cons

I wish there was a way of receiving interview feedback from the hiring managers. There also needs to be more restricted access to the candidate information especially for things like salary and stuff so that everyone who has access to iCIMS can not view all the information. If there was a way of giving restricted access to the hiring managers, that could make our job much easier.

### "Great Product, Even Better Customer Service"

Pros

The customer service experience is top notch. After being an ADP WorkForceNow client for many years and sitting on hold for hours (literally hours), it's such a relief to have a capable, engaged, knowledgeable customer service team at your fingertips. We have experience wonderful engagement, top notch technical support, and an account management team that digs in to understand your workflow and business. Huge upgrades in functionality from ADP WorkforceNow. Smooth workflows that make for easy to understand process management and an improved candidate experience.

Cons

The calendar feature leaves a lot to be desired. The integration with Outlook is mediocre and it's a pain to schedule interviews. The invite goes to the candidate AND managers at the same time for multiple time slots, you can't customize the message that goes to managers, etc. We really wanted a fully automated candidate self schedule feature, and iCIMS has a ways to go here.

### "We love iCIMS!"

Pros

The feature that I like most about icims onboard is how everything is submitted electronically and they only have to log in once to fill out however many tasks are assigned to them.

Cons

The feature that I like least about icims onboard is resetting the password during the onboarding process. When the new hires reset their password, sometimes they reset the email and it doesn't work, they don't receive the reset email, or it tells them that their access is restricted. We have so many people onboarded, it's hard to keep a close watch on how each new hire is doing this process. I just feel like it's not a user friendly process regardless.

Overall, I would prefer another software but I am not in control of changing it.

Pros

It is easy to read and organized accordingly. It was very easy to learn and use although there are times that I still struggle using it.

Cons

Sometimes the system is difficult to use. I do not always receive notifications using the alerts that I set. I am not sure if this is user error or system but I have had others tell me the same thing.

### "So happy we switched to iCIMS!"

We have loved this system! Our last ATS was very inefficient, so we were unable to track our success. Now, I have full faith that we will be able to not only track our successes and concerns throughout this hiring season, but we will be able to compare this season to future hiring seasons, as well.

Pros

Customization opportunities. We've been able to create all kinds of reports and display them graphically according to our needs, so that we can quickly and easily review the data we need at any given time.

Cons

The only thing I haven't liked so far is that there is not an easy option to integrate employee reference checks into the system that doesn't cost extra. We are a start-up organization and cannot afford many extras, so this is an extra we've had to cut.

Pros

iCIMS is incredibly customizable and can easily adapt to very complicated workflows and processes. Our team of recruiters has realized a significant improvement in productivity over our old ATS. Support is also excellent.

Cons

Sometimes there are too many clicks and screens involved in order to accomplish a task.

Cons

finding some helpful tips via the marketplace can be difficult at times. Some of the reporting functions don't really work for me due the inability to exclude or include certain fields.

### "Awesome text recruiting solution!"

Pros

I first heard about TextRecruit in a podcast. I thought it could be a great solution for scheduling challenges we have, but I've found it to be useful in so many other ways. Giving a quick update to a candidate. Quickly writing to see if they're free for a conversation. And the Chrome Extension making it easy to pick up phone numbers have all been great benefits. It's a seamless integration into the technology we're already using.

Cons

As TextRecruit is still relatively new, there are occasionally some bugs that pop up. But our account rep is quick to respond and help out with resolving those issues. One challenge is the character limitation but my understanding is that it's a function of SMS, and not anything with TextRecruit specifically.

The new capabilities in iCIMS Recruit has enabled us to reduce our sourcing time by simply using the system functionality. We can now search for candidates using keywords, etc.

Pros

iCIMS is easy to use, both form a recruiting standpoint as well as the candidate.

Cons

I would like to see some enhancements on the reporting side. We have the need to be able to create a report that is both a recruiting workflow search as well as a person search, within one report.

This product made a huge difference in the recruiting process for the company I was with and made it easier and faster to hire large groups of employees.

Pros

It has many features that makes reporting and organizing candidates very easy. It is very in depth and has just about any feature you could want or think of to use.

Cons

It can be very complicated and does require training or the new user to have an in depth manual to not make mistakes and impact the recruiting process.

### "You price will change considerably"

We went with this product two years ago over Newton based on the customization of the applicant flow and reasonable price. Since then the price has inflated 750% as we had to add a "custom" document that was less cluttered meaning we had to pay to take things off a page of theirs. They approached us this year less than 30 days from renewal with a 230% price hike which I obviously do not have time to change products so I am stuck for another year. This will earn them this year, this wonderful review and then lose them the next year. Avoid this company.

Pros

Meets the needs as a ATS and allows to somewhat customize the applicant flow to match your organization.

Cons

Expensive and they ramp the price up later once they have you committed. Customer support is rather poor and we experienced a 48 hour complete outage earlier this year. The implementation was awful. Newton's implementation was more than iCIMS but apparently you get what you pay for.

I've been using Icims for over 10 years and have had the opportunity to work with the program very intensely, providing high level functionality for hundreds of users. The system is very customizable and friendly for a candidate to utilize - very important for the candidate experience.

Icims allows a high level of customization and reporting functions.

At times, help desk support can take longer than desired.

We do everything from temp staffing and contracting, to long term contract hires, to executive 3rd-party recruiting ... and it handles it all. We've grown to a nationwide mid-size business, and iCIMS has kept pace with us without breaking a sweat!

Pros

Amazing flexibility and customization potential. Very responsive and knowledgeable US-based customer support.

Cons

Not set up out-of-the-box for our kind of operation ... took a while to make it useful, not just usable. Some features we would like to include were cost prohibitive.

Pros

I like the flow of the software, its pretty self explanatory even though I went through a week of training it was pretty intuitive once I got on it

Cons

customization is required, the background screening module asks for input regardless if your firm does it or not. Since in my old company we did not really call old employers we just filled in nonsense and it was a but tiresome.

The dashboard can be fully customized, the ability to post jobs within the ad itself and the integration with other software is fantastic. Great customer support.

Cons

There is a bit of a learning curve to this program initially and the use of the employee, job and then the workflow view.

highly customizable, technical support team always available and knowledgeable; implementation took some time but they are careful to make sure they understand your process and how you want data organized, process flow

nothing I can think of, sometimes it is so highly customizable that you might be inclined to over-engineer a process or report

The customer service team is very helpful and has always been very attentive to our needs. Overall the product works well for us as we did have to have some custom fields and reporting based on our company's needs.

Pros

The pros are the ability to customize certain features and the unlimited ways to create reports for evaluation purposes.

Cons

I am not a fan of the continuous updates that occur; some are not relevant to our needs and have changed some of our posting and reports on the back end without notice and then we have to review all external postings to ensure that nothing has changed and only the details we want posted externally are posted.
