iCIMS has allowed us to completely automate the recruitment process. We have created best-in-class processes to ensure candidate's have a seamless application experience.

Pros

iCIMS is a forward-thinking technology solution that enables organizations to be ahead-of-the-curve when it comes to recruitment. iCIMS is consistently investing in research and development to enhance the platform and the features available. iCIMS has a strong internal team who become advocates for your organization.

Cons

While iCIMS is continually enhancing the platform, the platform is geared towards US clients. Speaking as a Canadian client, sometimes the enhancements are not relevant or useful for Canadian clients who only operate in Canada and not in the US. In addition, while iCIMS continues to evolve their support structure for clients, sometimes the changes impact the service delivery to their clients.

### "Smooth and Intuitive Product"

Pros

We evaluated a ton of different options for our recruiting and onboarding process and iCims was the best of the best. They offer the most intuitive workflow of the bunch and staying focused on what they do has been key to their success.

Cons

Make sure you work with the sales team to know exactly what you are getting in your package. Some of the terminology did not end up being what we thought it was so we had to fork over more money than initially anticipated.

The products works as it should. More email or schedule integrations would be nice. Pros: Resume parsing is a nice feature but sometimes inconvenient if I only have a linkedin profile. Cons: Customer support hasn't been anything to write home around. A solution is found about 50% of the time. Most of the time I have to write an email after I fill out all the forms. Site says sorry, please email us. Not fun because my precise feedback from the forms is now gone and I need to start over in email. You can review my feedback

Pros

Although the system is not super intuitive for users, especially those that are new to an ATS, once you learn the product you realize all the functionality available to help with managing your openings and candidates.

Pros

One of the best features in iCIMS is how configurable it is and the ability to text candidates, which not many ATS modules include as functionality. The system allows you to manage many requisitions and candidate activity. The dashboard is a great feature, allowing users to quickly view their data.

Cons

It would be helpful to increase the text character limit in order to include more information to candidates. The candidate experience needs some updates, for example it would be nice to allow for multiple resumes and cover letters.

Not much.

Pros

Sorting candidates in jobs and bins is simple and easy. Emailing through the system is easy as well, easy to set up and save templates. Statistics for candidates are informative

Cons

Not user friendly at all. The support is zero help either, being extremely dismissive and always blaming the end user rather than escalating tickets, they close them to keep their numbers up to par. Always technical issues going on with the system. Would never use in future jobs.

The configurability and ability to integrate with other software and platforms. Robust searching and reporting is also a big plus.

Cons

There can be a bit of a learning curve getting used to iCIMS and its features, but with a good implementation and commitment to their available training, this can be overcome.

Watchfire Signs has been with iCIMS for about 3 years now. We previously did applicant tracking via spreadsheets, a dysfunctional access database, and paper files. (YIKES!) Our single installation manages candidates for everything from internships to VPs, from union to executives, and engineers, including people at field offices all over the US (no international). The implementation went smoothly and was fast because we didn't have a ton of data from other resources to bring into the system. The start up team was easy to work with. iCIMS is fairly easy to use, but in an effort to 'avoid clutter' they sometimes hide features in awkward places. Skills I'd like together on a single page are sometimes scattered about. Their help desk and esp email support are GREAT! Quick to respond, good clear answers, happy to assist with modifications, and an understanding of how a feature works. Very helpful. Sadly, their knowledge base that they shout loudly as the greatest support tool ever actually has very little data for skilled users. It seems to be mostly the help screens put into a slightly different format for beginners. The big gaping hole in the product is that it doesn't have email integration. So, if I want to ask a candidate a question, I do that out of iCIMS. When the candidate responds, it comes only to my outlook; also it does not go into his/her record inside iCIMS. The result? I have an intern, who's job 10 hours per week is to, update the candidate's records. We know not everything gets there and certainly not in a timely manner. They use a ticket tracker system to handle their customer service tickets, so they know how important this kind of functionality is, and hopefully they are looking at it to figure out how to merge it into their own product ASAP. We have nearly left iCIMS on three occasions to go to another product that has this functionality built in, but luckily we are too busy hiring to spend time researching a platform change.

I have hired several people through ICIMS but I find it so much easier to use Indeed.

Pros

I love what the potential of ICIMS is. There are so many ways of recruiting different positions, linking items together, and collecting names. The ease of emailing applicants is great and the templates are very helpful if you are in a rush.

Cons

Whenever new applicants come in, it is very difficult to understand how to even open up the applicants information. I am very computer savvy and have had three training's on this and my team and I are still confused. Then there are so many steps that they need to go through. The initial accept or reject is easy but then you have to email, set up interview , etc while documenting all of this. This all seems great but for someone that has to do many other things than like just hiring the ease of use is not there.

### "Great Customizable ATS!"

Pros

I really like the ability to customize this software for our business needs. We have the ability to control the hiring manager and candidate experience in ways that I have not seen with other solutions. With that customization comes the ability as a User Admin to make system changes on the fly, without engaging a support team or paying for extra services. They are also constantly improving their offering and we get great updates periodically and they integrate with so many other vendors.

Cons

The reporting tool is a little clunky and can take a bit to learn - but once you learn, you'll find it is very robust.

Overall I like the easy of use of iCIMS recruit. Sending candidates and jobs to hiring managers is great!

Pros

I like having the ability to customize my job postings and application process. ICIMS also makes it easy to search for old jobs and previous candidates!

Cons

There is a charge for every add on. When we first signed up for this software it seemed like there were all these great add-on tools. It wasn't until I was an iCIMS customer that I discovered how much iCIMS charged each month.

As I said above, they have great ideas on how to innovate and move the HR/Recruiting sector forward. They just do not provide user friendly adminstrator functionality.

Pros

Its the standard in oiur company’s industry. It does the work needed and has great ideas for innovating.

Cons

Not a user-friendly on the back-end for Administrators. Never try to leave them once you decide to switch, they require you sign-up in 12 month subscriptions. We had to really push hard to get it down to six months.

Great to get candidates organized and communicate with them through email. We ended up switching to an alternative after several years due to cost.

Pros

Ease of use and the dashboards were nice to keep track of applicants in our pipeline. Lots of functionality to support Defense and contracting companies.

Cons

Lots of features require additional spend. It is quite costly and not as affordable for small or medium sized companies.

Reason for choosing iCIMS Hire

It was easy to use and enhanced efficiency.

Cons

Standard forms don't have required fields. If I want to make a field required; I would have to pay for a custom form.

Pros

API and connectability to other systems. Searching and reporting are very robust and easy to export. Mobile friendly for candidates. Dashboard brings critical items to your attention throughout the day. Customer service is great at resolving most issues on the first call.

Cons

Experience for recruiters on a smartphone could be better. iForms can be difficult to work with. APIs can be a little pricey.

I love the customization of iCIMS - we have multiple segments of our organization with several different locations all with slightly different needs. iCIMS allows you to customize the applicant tracking system, workflows, reports and platform very easily. In addition, their customer support is amazing! They are always available and helpful in crafting a solution to meet any unique request.

Cons

I truly can't come up with anything I do not like about iCIMS.

Previously implemented the tool 3-4 year ago,and going through a new implementation now with another company. Happy to see the improvements that were made during that time period and excited to see the platform grow with recruiting trends.

Pros

The customization to fit your recruiting needs. From the various modules to user access to dashboard management - iCIMS will tailor to your needs more than any other ATS I've experienced. Great reporting functionality as well.

Cons

iForms can seem a bit outdated to the candidate as far as design goes - however this is optional use.

No point in time or As Of date reporting some issues are washed off as "this is how it is designed" ideas that get traction seem to never be updated or communicated when put into dev stages Admins of the system need more functionality so we can avoid delays in going to our TAM Customer service ticketing system is awful when not taken by your TAM -- many times i go back and forth on email with items that i addressed in the original ticket submission filter limitations on searching and reporting cannot export list of attendees of an event to CSV or Excel Admins cannot send out messages to platform user groups No ability to separately upload a Cover Letter

Pros

iCIMS is a fancy database and a very good administrative tool. When switching from a manual process it brought a ton of efficiency to our recruitment process.

Cons

The user experience is clunky and creates various pitfall for our hiring manager which require lots of correction and re-education. The system works well, but would like to see a more simplistic (clean), customization, and intuitive interface.

Reason for choosing iCIMS Hire

iCIMS had a much more attractive interface than Taleo and better features.
