This software is not as sophisticated as they claim. A lot of features were copied from older software products & do need improvement. **Pros:** The only items I have truly valued over the prior software are the global search feature & the expiration date field for recurring JEs. **Cons:** Support has been awful. The company was guaranteed a 2 hour response time if AppFolio Plus was purchased; the average response time is more like 2 days. Due to issues with the bank, the change was delayed in AppFolio & AF's response only made it worse. We needed their assistance with a bank change for 25 accounts & were given 3 different sets of instructions over a 3 week period. There are sometimes improvements that are helpful, but they usually take far too much time for the client to set up, especially for an understaffed company. Commercial real estate is not a priority to AppFolio, so I would not advise using it for commercial properties. **Switched From:** [SKYLINE](https://www.capterra.com/p/56328/SKYLINE/) **Reasons for Switching to AppFolio Property Manager:** I did not make the switch. We used to be able to write an e-mail, or make a phone call whenever we had a concern. Now we are forced to use the AppFolio platform and believe it or not, 100% of our business does not fit into their AppFolio system. The system has some gaps that simple human interaction does not have. **Pros:** It is easy to access from anywhere. It does a good job of storing our HOA's historical records as we conduct business throughout the busy year. **Cons:** Before App Folio we actually had a relationship with our property managers over the years. They actually knew the business side of our HOA. Since AppFolio was implemented a by the management firm a few years ago, the staff has completely lost all touch with our HOA (our condo building). They use App Folio for everything and seem to be a bit afraid to pick up the phone or actually visit the property.
