It has helped to improve our Firm's efficiency in shipping while we are saving money. We have considered other services and this platform is above all others. Cons It can be clunky when creating a new label and there are saved addresses that are similar but different. Since we ship a lot to the IRS and Government Agencies, sometimes it it the same PO Box but just a slightly different zip code. Many hours on the phone with tech support and they cannot change me back to an administrator nor explain whey I got switched to a user. Pros The option to compare shipping prices between UPS and USPS. Cons Last October 2024, Stamps.com had a major revision to their website. As a result of updates, my account change my status from administrator to user - automatically with no reason and without my consent. As a user, I cannot add funds, add users nor make any changes to the account. In fact, nobody in my company can make changes. I have spent at least 8 hours on the phone over the past six months trying to sort out the problem. The bottom line is that my account has a bug and they cannot fix it. It’s a poor platform and design. The 1800- number for help is an overseas call center and nobody has the tech expertise to fix anything; they have to call someone else so you are waiting for them to ask someone else for answers. They have a poor design and cannot even fix their own technical problems nor answer questions. I am closing my account today after giving them plenty of time to fix the problem. Would not recommend. Pros I didn’t like very much. The interface was difficult to maneuver and the individual stamp sheets were extremely bulky. Cons The interface, the mailing sheets, most importantly the price. It was very, very expensive to use and though they promoted that you would save money we would have actually been over budget. Like ability to add a reference name to the label Pros It’s convenient and a time saver. I’ve been using it for a couple years now. I like the reports for business records like tax time. As well as the tracking. Cons When toggling between shippers to compare costs you need to re-enter the weight and dimensions all over again. Postage costs rise, but then so does the monthly cost, WHY? It’s the exact interface, products and process was years ago. Why does it cost more monthly for doing the same thing it did years ago? You can print postage directly onto documents/boxes/packages which is awesome and their prices are very good! Pros Stamps.com offers GREAT pricing. We use them frequently for business and we have had no issues with them. We got a large quantity of stamps at a really valuable price and were very excited about that. Cons So far, there are no cons with Stamps.com and we have had no issues previously! I think they sometimes can be overpriced with certain things but that's not always a huge deal. However because of the last two days of not being able to do business the way I'm used to I would say because of technical support I have a poor experience. I have people in Poland waiting for care packages to come in and other places around the world like South Korea Bahrain Kuwait some undisclosed areas Iraq Syria and I can't I'd have to keep my production up because these deserving service members are waiting for support from the USA. IHONOUSA.com has been shipping care packages to troops since 2012 Pros I started using Stamps.com because I used to stand in line at the post office and would see people walking past me and put their packages down on the counter and leave. So one day I ask someone how do you put your packages up and walk out. And they told me Stamps.com. So because I make frequent trips to the post office this was intriguing to me. So I looked up the service and decided that this was something of a innovation innovation moment for buyer nonprofit organization shipping care packages to troops. It will save me a lot of time standing in line at the post office. And then I started having them pick the care packages up at the door of my home which was even more time saving. As far as the software is concerned it was easy to learn easy to use and I was very thankful to have this addition to my process. Cons Over the years I've had pretty good success with Stamps.com my only issue with this company is their customer service really sucks. And it seems to be getting worse as time goes on. I recently had an issue with Stamps.com not recognizing APO addresses that I was shipping to because they didn't have the last four digits. Well I wanted to find out because most of the APO addresses that I shipped you don't always have the addition of four digits. So after spending 2 1/2 hours on and off the phone with stamps.com tier 1 technical support who didn't know anything and then they switched me to tier 2 in about an hour and a half and even though the guy worked with me to try to figure out or troubleshoot the issue we realized it still is not gonna work. But they would not tell me why or what was different than the three or four years prior that I was using this service. Review Source MM Michael M. One one hand it's outdated, on the other it does the job and saves us on shipping. The deal that they offer us on UPS shipping, alone, saves us a ton of money. Pros Stamps.com has some great benefits. It offers a number of shipping options - for us the important ones are USPS, which we use for over half of our shipments, and UPS, which is about 40% of our shipments. Being able to see which service is cheaper, all in one place at one time really saves us over $1000 a month. They have negotiated great prices with UPS that we couldn't get on our own. Their address correction isn't perfect but it catches a number of mistakes. You just need to see if their correction makes sense - especially when the customer uses non-standard addressing for apartment or unit numbers. Cons We have to cut and paste addresses. We are looking forward to updating our site and using software that will auto fill addresses and save us time. November 15, 2017 4.0 Pros The ease of signing up and immediately starting to print postage is nice. You can sign up in about a minute. When you sign up, initially for a trial, you receive some sign-up benefits like in free postage and others. Most of the benefits, however, are fairly useless. If you connect an e-commerce account, it can import all of your orders. This is extremely useful to quickly print postage and it will automatically upload the tracking information to your e-commerce account so you don't have to later. Cons The monthly fee and difficulty in canceling are the two biggest downsides. It is not too expensive, but you can find other cheaper options if your shipments per month are on the very low end. Another downside is that it logs you out fairly frequently and then takes a while to load each page even when you're logged in (I have a fast internet connection and computer, so I know it's not me). Last downside is if for some reason you damage the shipping label you just printed and have navigated away from that page, there is no way to reprint the label. You have to void that one and print a new one. A refund for the first label won't be given for two weeks at the earliest. This is highly annoying. Review Source SN Shanna N. Cons Everytime we change a credit card to use on our account for shipping purposes, we have to call customer service otherwise it does not work. Owner Cosmetics Used the software for: 6-12 months ### "Useful for Specific Businesses, Unnecessary for Most" October 6, 2020 3.0 At a time in my professional career I was mailing out 25+ packages a week and was spending an insane amount of time in the post office. My packages were marketing materials that were catered to specific individuals and therefore had different sizes and weights. My local postal workers must have absolutely hated seeing me walk in the door because I was always holding (or carting in) a ridiculous amount of packages that all needed postage. It caused me so much anxiety; it made me absolutely dread going to the post office and some of my packages would even go out late because I would postpone mailing them. Being able to calculate and print off postage on my own is such a relief. I usually take the packages to the post office myself and just drop them in the receptacle but sometimes, depending on how many boxes and/or envelopes I have, I will utilize the pick-up service that is offered. Pros The thing that I am most grateful for is the amount of time I have been able to save by not having to be in the post office for 45 minutes two (or more) times a week. The postage calculator is also a life saver, I got a scale to weigh my packages and would just put their weight into the program and it would calculate the amount of postage I needed. Having the ability to print off a bunch of stamps at once has been invaluable for me, as someone who mails out marketing materials regularly. Cons I have experienced glitches in the software more often than I should have, frankly. The software is nearly $20.00 a month and there have been several occasions where I had to re-print a stamp because it printed incorrectly, through no fault of my own. The re-prints are supposed to be without cost because they are used in a situation where the first stamp is unusable but I have been charged double. If you get the stamp sheets that they send and you only need 5-10 of the 25 available slots, running the sheet through your printer more than once makes the page get a weird grey tone and the stamps look dirty. Being able to toggle between UPS and USPS when deciding on a carrier is quick and easy. I will continue to use it until I find a cheaper solutions. Pros I like that it pulls my website orders into the shipping platform for easy processing. I like that I can schedule a pickup from the software and it's very easy to use. Cons I don't like the monthly fee, but I do understand that the shipping is discounted. Maybe I don't ship enough to make it worthwhile and there are other options that don't require a subscription. We put the packages on the scale and the software uses the exact postage needed. It's a no brainer if you ship a lot of items. Pros Shipping is easy. Put your package on the scale, print out the shipping label and off it goes. No more dealing with regular stamps, trying to figure out how many to use. Cons The USPS pick-up feature seems easy but has never resulted in an actual pick up. Likely not STAMPS fault. Printing from other computers is a pain. I wish we could customize the shipped email depending on the sender's address. As I ship as multiple businesses, the messaging should change. " June 11, 2018 4.0 Pros I have used stamps.com for over 6 years, at about 4 different places that i work, i know its a popular system and easy to use. other Pros if you are a new to shipping, they offer a free 1 month trial and free 5lbs scale, and a pack w sticker sheets, postcard stamps, i believe you just pay for shipping. Cons Printing postage for something as simple as postcards is a real nightmare, I really really dislike how the set up is for post cards you have to purchase seperate sheets to print out the postage then stick them 1 at a time on your post cards, this is not efficient, esecially when you have thousands of post cards to send out. another con is the monthly fee. If you are selling on any platform like ebay, etsy, amazon you can purchase postage directly from them, for sometimes less than you can on stamps.com which defeats the purpose of paying a monthly fee for a "discounted shipping rate" Im not a fan, they lure you in w free things but at the end of the day after paying for their special stamp paper and monthy fees we dont save anything in fact im sure we spent more than we needed to. We signed up when our non-profit needed to mail magazines and correspondence across the country. The integration of Stamps.com with UPS was a huge time and money saver. Label printing was easy and the whole service just simplified our mailing process. Very satisfied! Pros I love the ease of printing pre-paid labels, loved not having to go to the post office to mail, really appreciate being able to pay for and then email a label to shipper, easy tracking of all packages, free boxes and supplies shipped to our offices. I also really appreciate the customer service and being able to speak right to a real person when I needed help, they were friendly and knowledgeable every time.
