I like how easy Promax is to use. Its a very simple program thats getting a little outdated. Great for just getting started

Cons

Lots of bugs and crashes. Nothing worse than working a deal and then boom everything you did is gone.

ProMax is great at helping to organize our customer base and keep everything in one platform.

Pros

I love how easy it is to run reports in ProMax and to sort prospects by various filters.

Cons

Some of the data imports were a bit frustrating as many of the fields didn't get filled in. I've had to go through manually and update/fix several thousand customers.

The software only functions on Internet Explorer which has not only been announced by Microsoft to be discontinued but is also one of the worst-performing web browsers currently in use (although I think the only people who still use it are doing so solely for this software). I cannot access ProMax without removing security protocols from my private server (which I refuse to do and isn't required with most cloud-based software) so I needed an extra cheap laptop just for the purposes of accessing the customer desking and prospecting features. The user interface is very outdated and can be somewhat confusing given the terminology within the system (for example, customer search is referred to as "recall" within ProMax). The training resources available are ABSOLUTELY useless and offer no meaningful information despite a basic overview of the functionality. If you can't figure out how to perform a simple task, there is NOT adequate support available on the web or in their training--you have to call customer service. The email campaign functionality almost never functions correctly. Even when connected to our email domain, most emails sent from the system end up in a contact's spam folder. Also, all mass e-mails automatically are prefixed in the subject line with "ADV:" which is a completely ridiculous function (and likely the only thing causing e-mails to bounce or end up flagged as spam. Honestly, just spend a bit more for a CRM and desking solution that isn't built to fail.

Pros

The price is about the only good point about the software (and why our dealership made the switch from DealerSocket), but the functionality simply isn't worth what is spent.

Cons

It’s okay. I do at times miss our old Systems more.

Pros

It’s easy to navigate if you have proper training. It does maximize the quality of answering leads for the company and making sure nothing is missed

Cons

Integrations are difficult. Too many screens can be worked from. You have to click a lot to get back and forth with what you are trying to do.

Pros

Easily manage your website's inventory from the CRM, The report titled "Store Traffic Report" is integral in running the dealership in 2022 for its deep interaction with all lead sources, timing, conversion metrics etc.

Cons

The login process is clunky and the inability (although changing soon) to login on a MAC

### "Criminals!!!"

These guys use to be the best in the business. Not anymore. Terrible customer service. I signed up 3 different stores with Promax. I use to be their biggest fan. I've been using their software for 10+ years. Back when rep was the CEO, this was a good company. Now every decision is cold and calculated. I didn't figure it out until I attemped to sign up a 4th store with them. Nothing but empty promises. When we attemped to go live their servers were down for days. I reached out to rep. He was my salesman for all 3 stores I setup before. Even he said this isn't the company they use to be. Customer loyalty means nothing to them anymore. What's really sad is when signing up the 4th store, they made lots of promises that were broken. We did not receive the services we were sold and way beyond the time line they were promised. Promax broke the agreement by not providing the services we were sold. Now we cancelled service because they failed to even get us live. We were never setup with a functioning product. They broke the agreement and are now trying to keep us under the contract. Criminals!!!!

Pros

Nothing! These guys are crooks and now they are trying to collect on services that were never provided.

Horrible customer service, Nothing but empty promises

The experience and customer service was good until we decided to invest in more advanced technology . The reps were “offended” and became unprofessional . Offered very limited help with the things and assistance needed for the transition . Nobody likes to lose business to a competitor , but the tone and professionalism should remain in tact To at least guarantee the return of the customer if the other product didn’t work out . You gain nothing by taking that stance but stand to lose potential opportunity with that customer or their colleagues . “It’s not like you’re going to SEND us referrals” Is the exact response.

Pros

Cost was reasonable for the product. Reasonable for entry level

Cons

Functionality . Need to go screen to screen to gather pertinent information . Compared To vin solutions it is definitely entry level software that showed its true colors when compared side by side with a more advanced product

Promax is easy to use, it is self explanatory. Typically new associate who use promax on a daily basis do not require much additional training, which allows them to get straight to work!

Pros

This software is easy to use and navigate. the leaderboard function is motivational and helps you know where you stand for the month. I most often use the bookout feature to make sure the appropriate equipment is used for pricing, which is easy and self explanatory.

Cons

Working in the automotive industry we use several different programs for business. Many of these programs do not work together which can be irritating. Promax seems to work well with most other programs, however there is always room for improvement.

Being able to send all scheduled emails out at once

Cons

I needed 2 monitors using Promax. The screen has 2 options, full or too small to use 1 person at a time in a customer record 1 customer record open at once No skate alert Sales rep advocated for our BDC to close and Promax take over. Sales rep came in for an encore training of software but instead went over scripts and work flow.

Terrible. From the first time I opened I could tell that whoever designed it had no thought about the user and zero experience in the automotive industry and very little technical ability. By far the worst application and delivery of any software in the 21st century.

Pros

Nothing, the whole system it terrible to use. Nothing about it is intuitive, it's constantly having problems, and it is forced to be ran in Internet Explorer

Cons

Everything, you have to add each car individually for the salesmen to be able to have access to the car which creates extra work for management. The mobile version (not the app since they don't have one, but the mobile site) is by far the worst version of anything I've every seen. And the geniuses who designed it decided to make a new domain for this mobile site instead of doing what the should have done and either make a sub domain or just make the full version compatible with all browser to be compatible across all devices instead of only some windows products.

ProMax did what it was supposed to in terms of distributing leads and helping the sales department maintain proper followup.

Cons

It is not the easiest software to navigate through. I have used several CRMs in my 9 years in the car business and this was one of my least favorite. It seems redundant, like you have to go through so many steps and clicks to accomplish anything.
