### "Globally restricted but US needs are met"

May 18, 2026

Pros

I am a user of both the online and app product and find it user friendly although the customization is limited.

Cons

It's a very US based platform, so global needs might not be met but anything local to the USA it satisfies.

### "Paylocity - tedious task"

May 22, 2026

3.0

Overall, it worked out fine. I would leave myself time to get it completed and everything from there went smoothly

Pros

had the dates and details of work well displayed. I liked how easy it was to submit hours per week

Cons

It was extremely tedious to select the same items and have to scroll through pages of ID numbers to find my exact job responsibilities to be compensated for. This took longer than necessary

### "Easy to use HRIS "

February 26, 2026

5.0

It's been pretty good. Problems were sorted out in a timely manner. When we wanted to make changes, it was a pretty straightforward process.

Pros

Overall, it's pretty easy to use. I like the performance management module. It makes it convenient for managers to track relevant conversations with their team.

Cons

1\. Reporting. I can't always get what I need in one report. It's fiddly to try to customize a report. 2. Requesting time off function. It always defaults to Sat/Sun as an assumed day off, which isn't so in the retail/grocery business. It causes confusion for staff.

### "Paylocity does so much more that the name suggests."

May 25, 2026

5.0

It is the main HR tool within our company and has been for several years. That is because it makes the fundamental of team management easy.

Pros

The mobile app makes it easy to stay on top of company administration, training, and team communication.

Cons

The user interface is not as intuitive as I would like it to be, but it gets easier over time. Especially with regular tasks.

### "Payroll Manager "

June 6, 2026

5.0

Overall, experience is great. I would definitely recommend to other companies. The positive experiences outweigh the negative experiences.

Pros

What I like most are the payroll functions. The functions allow to process payroll in real time which pulls over hours worked daily, weekly or for a specific period.

Cons

The area I like the least is the time frame from customer support - not specifically our current account manager - but from others who help when our account manager is out.

### "Paylocity is a first class payroll system"

February 16, 2026

5.0

My experience with has been excellent. From our initial transition to the platform and through our multiple integrations, we have had outstanding customer support. We are a much more effective accounting/hr team because we use Paylocity.

Pros

is easy to use and flexible making it easy to handle our payroll. I have had excellent customer support any time I have required assistance. We use the time and attendence module and have integrated with our accounting and benefits plans to streamline and automate the payroll allocations, makeing this efficient and saves us both time and money.

Cons

When we first started with the integration was not available with our accounting software, but it has recently updated to become available. I have found that many of the issues I have had in the past have been updated in technology upgrades over the past couple of years.

### "Paylocity Review"

February 26, 2026

4.0

Overall, we are happy we moved to although the learning curve has been a little too steep. It is a constant learning process - learning things you didn't know Paylocity could do and also finding out its limitations.

Pros

We have saved a lot of time running Payroll. Customer service over the phone or by email is quite responsive. Integrations with other programs have worked well.

Cons

The onboarding process left us with a lot to learn by ourselves - by trial and error or research and contacting Customer Support. Also, when our agent sent in a ticket to another department, it took a while for a response, which was often cryptic and sometimes didn't answer the original question.

### "1x Year With Paylocity!"

February 26, 2026

4.0

Has been a good experience overall! Glad we made the switch. Onboarding into the system was good, but I think we could've used more "on-call" support.

Pros

We made the switch to in 2025 and have really enjoyed the autonomy of the platform. We're able to do so much in one singular program - recruiting, HR profiles, report pulls, payroll, etc. It is good value for the money. The new AI chatbox is actually very helpful when trying to figure out how to operate the system.

Cons

While most of the system is intuitive, there are some major intricacies to the platform that you just don't know about until you're backtracking or fixing. Customer support is great majority of the time once you understand the prorgam, but our first few months were rough just trying to learn everything.

### "Mostly good with one big pet peeve"

February 12, 2026

4.0

Mostly positive though they rotate various representatives at seemingly random intervals. Some will introduce themselves while others you discover when needing help. It would be nice if my payroll rep would stay with me longer than the short spans I'm currently experiencing.

Pros

Full featured - I can put most everything under one "roof". This makes administration and integration easier as well as making access more convenient for employees.

Cons

My biggest pet peeve with is the inability to change an employee's ID - this should be updateable but appears to also be Paylocity's internal unique identifier for each employee. Also needing improvement - handling of time off between T&L and HR & Payroll.

February 19, 2026

3.0

Frustrating, but good enough. It's unfortunate to give such a lukewarm review, especially when the platform has so much potential, but as-is, it's really just not excellent.

Pros

Overall it's pretty customizable, so we can create different access levels for all relevant contributors and doesn't limit the number of contributors you can have. Additionally, some of the modules (performance, recognition, etc.) are pretty intuitive!

Cons

### "Very Satisfied Customer Overall"

February 26, 2026

5.0

Pros

We utilize many platforms of and find them all very useful and easy to use. It added efficiencies to our entire company which leads us to direct our efforts into other avenues. I cannot say enough about the experiences that we have had with this company over the past 7 years of working with them. We continue to advance into new aspects of each platform to streamline our processes and gain even more efficient ways of business.

Cons

On a rare occasion over the past 6 months, I have found that customer assistance to help me with certain tasks has been a struggle, from unanswered phone calls to no response to emails. I hope that we will see a change in this in the future.

### "Great Customer Service and Reporting System"

February 12, 2026

5.0

Overall I've very much enjoyed using as a payroll provider. We use them for running payroll, time keeping, and onboarding, and will most likely add additional services to help our HR department.

Pros

The customer service has been very helpful when I encounter issues or need to make changes to our profile. I've never had to wait on the phone for longer than 5 minutes to speak to a person, and usually we are able to resolve the issue over the phone. I have no experienced any poor customer service from them. I also really like their reporting system, it has been very easy to navigate and run reports needed.

Cons

Some of the reports are only available to be ran in a PDF format, when a CSV file would be more efficient for the needs of the report.

### "Paylocity is a good choice."

February 26, 2026

4.0

is easy to use for both the employees and administrators. Their representatives are friendly and the cost fits within our budget.

Pros

provides the same services as ADP which we used for decades and is much less expensive which works for us as we have under 50 employees.

Cons

We are a small group (under 50 employees). When I call for help I'm given a team member that at least half the time cannot answer my question and they have to put in a service ticket for help. It can sometimes take months to resolve an issue especially if it is related to any tax issue.

### "We are so happy with our switch to Paylocity!"

February 12, 2026

5.0

Great! \[sensitive content hidden\] was our implementation specialist and she was fantastic. She showed me so many ways to improve processes in the system.

Pros

We joined after being with ADP (on various different platforms) for several year. The difference is like night and day. The Paylocity implementation teams have been amazing, and the product itself is very popular among our management team and the employees. The system makes it so easy to sending out mass announcements, reviewing and approving timecards so that payroll is accurate, and best of all ---- the price is fantastic for everything they offer. It's made my life so much easier, and has saved me a ton of time with submitting payroll. The integration with our retirement plan and benefits administration is like the cherry on top. I'm so glad we made the switch.

Cons

Nothing bad to say! I have had only great interactions with the implementation team and support. Everything has gone really well.

### "Paylocity Recommended, Small Company Approved"

January 29, 2026

4.0

Overall, I love and would recommend it to any similar-to-larger sized company! I'm really happy with the ways Paylocity as helped us streamline processes and become more efficient. Paylocity has helped our employees gain confidence to handle certain things on their own, such as submitting timecard adjustments, where they used to rely heavily on HR to do this. Now, HR can focus a bit more on bigger picture things. Paylocity has it's moments where it doesn't function 100% perfectly, just like the rest of us, but it's uses significantly outweigh any problems we may have had.

Pros

I find to be a one-stop shop, making it much easier to handle payroll, timekeeping, time off management, HR filing, onboarding, reviews, and community all in one place instead of having to use multiple separate systems. I love that it automates a lot of things, such as workflows, which helps streamline processes for me. Open enrollment is significantly easier, despite being an imperfect system. Payroll is also incredibly simple since it pulls the timekeeping data directly. Everything we use it for has become easier, and I've heard that integrations, like with Justifacts, make hiring a lot easier. The initial setup was really easy, thanks to a fantastic onboarding process. The call-in customer support line is great! (as long as there isn't a huge wait time)

Cons

is an imperfect system. There are random glitches at times, such as not being able to download performance reviews still. Sometimes (like this problem), these issues go unaddressed but cause disruptions almost daily for us. Another example of this is employee's not being able to see their documents all the time. For our annual reviews, EEs are required to review certain documents and sign off that they are correct still. Now, I have to manually download and send them to each employee. In general, what I'm saying is that issues sometimes take a while to be addressed -- response time is sometimes delayed via email.

Switched from

[Paycor](https://www.capterra.com/p/133745/Paycor-Perform/)

It was awful, honestly. Not able to do timekeeping data transfer. Had to manually track time/PTO requests and enter them into Paycor for payroll. We also had one specific event where they sent our W2s to the wrong company, and sent us theirs. They were super caviler about it too, and just told us to throw them away (not shred or destroy or send back, just throw them away).

### "Responsive customer care, User-friendly features"

February 5, 2026

4.0

For employees, the features in are intuitive and user-friendly. Nearly all the tools we need in an HRIS system are here. Customer support is responsive and real - I can talk to people who know the system, actually listen, and will do research to find answers when needed. I love that Paylocity is responsive to suggestions for improvements; the system is always evolving. Sometimes that evolving can be a challenge when the underlying way it works changes with little or no warning. We have policies and training that is impacted by this, so we sometimes have to amend those for system upgrades. Admin configuration is not always intuitive; however, support is very helpful with navigating this, and I do like that there are so many options for customization.

Pros

For employees, the features in are intuitive and user-friendly. Nearly all the tools we need in an HRIS system are here. Customer support is responsive and real - I can talk to people who know the system, actually listen, and will do research to find answers when needed. I love that Paylocity is responsive to suggestions for improvements; the system is always evolving.

Cons

Some of the back-end configuration for Admins is not as intuitive as general user features. While it's not always intuitive to find where and how I make configuration changes, I do like that nearly everything can be configured. While I love that takes suggestions for changes and makes improvements, that also means that underlying functions sometimes change with little to no notice, and we have to adjust the way we use the system to accommodate. Sometimes that even means changing company policy or leader training. Reporting is not as intuitive either.

### "Value vs Results Can't be Beat"

February 2, 2026

4.0

Every system has its pros and cons but with the pros far outweigh the cons. They are also continually developing the system in positive ways which makes me optomistic that they will develop into an even better system over time.

Pros

As an HR Consultant who uses all the HR systems out there, is the one I recommend the most. The functionality for its price point can't be beat and can be used as a true "all in one" system without the need for supplemental systems. It is also relatively user-friendly.

Cons

I wish they offered more functionality in the employee app (ex. ability to update direct deposit and sign off on reviews). I also wish the format of the reports was more friendly to filtering and pivot tables.

From our rushed implementation we needed to our end employees interactions with the app and system. We have been very happy with our team, the service and our everyday tasks. I would highly recommend anyone using as it checks all the boxes for price, usability and available products included with the system.

Pros
