Used the software for: ### "Great timekeeping software for large crews" October 7, 2016 5.0 We have been using timesummit for our time tracking for over a year now. It works great for our 100 person concrete business. We have multiple jobs, and people moving between them throughout the day. The supervisor has the app on his iphone to log himself and his crew in. Each crew member has an id and a picture is taken to confirm identity at each login. We have multiple codes set up so as they change the type of work they are doing they can quickly start the time tracking of that code. Each login/logoff takes 30 secs or less. We have engineers that fly all over the USA and Canada it this system really makes time keeping easy for management and the employee. The support when i have had questions are answered fast and accurately. Pros GPS Snapshot of where the engineer is when they use the system Cons wish you could customize a little more to work for more industries. It seems this is driven by construction but could work in many others if some changes could be made. July 14, 2018 4.0 Pros Applications from multiple sites are able to be viewed on one site. They are also able to be posted on multiple sites from this site. Cons There is no way to group types of jobs into categories when searching or formatting. There is also no way to create a template for reoccurring job posts. Logistics and Supply Chain Used the software for: ### "Review For BirdDog" November 6, 2014 3.5 Pros We are so pleased that we have joined forces with BirdDog to fill our employment needs that we have eliminated all other forms of employment except for referrals. This product has enabled us to manage applicants more efficiently and to collaborate on each applicant if necessary. Cons There are so many attributes to this product that it is hard to pinpoint a "least like" that would be a significant deterrent to using this product. The vendor has made suggestions when necessary to minimize or eliminate functions that were less than perfect. Again, we have a great customer service representative, which helps cure all ills. Easy to use Making updates regularly Cons They are young company and new to the idea of converting a company from an existing LMS to their LMS. It was simple for me to learn how to use with only 2 days of training. Costumer service is very very quick and helpful! Cons It is a lot of going back and forth trying to find where things are put. The ability to easily communicate with applicants and hiring managers is a plus. Cons I think that the reports could process more quickly. It has been obvious that BirdDog HR takes pride in its product and the services it provides, from installation to maintenance and the overall training for the customer. Cons While the posting to multiple job sites is an excellent feature it does not allow you to individually sponsor the jobs to keep them at the top of the job board (for example on indeed). The jobs can get pushed to the bottom of the job boards fairly quickly (depending on how many other positions like yours are being posted at the time) and can make recruiting for large numbers of applicants difficult. It works great but the following improvements would be nice: - drains the battery on the phone too fast - it would be nice if we could setup geo fences and it would automatically check people in and out - the reports could be easier to read. A Picture snap shop of the person clocking in helps to eliminate ohers clocking in for other employees. It is very helpful to be able to integrate into Quick books. Cons Expensive for me. The guys seem to catch on quickly and use it pretty fluently. It makes the guys accountable for themselves, and causes less babysitting time for us. The Dashboard does not accurately show who is clocked in, employees have to manually sync with the system a lot, can't buy new license and add new employees on the fly. customer support does help when you have issues. Ability to view what jobs employees are at, and who is clocked in Cons It is slow to operate at times, does not keep up with movements of employees in real time, dashboard does not accurately reflect who is clocked in. May 5, 2017 3.0 Pros The major benefit to this product was the ability to see if employees were actually at the jobsite when clocking in. Cons If the supervisor forgot to clock in or out for the crew it was very difficult to adjust their time. It's simple to use and has everything you could need for payroll. The boys have no trouble at all and know it's there responsibility for clocking in and out! The issues that we ran into did seem to overshadow the products good features. The customer service team is extremely helpful, but we couldn't make this platform work for us. The biggest issue was the user licensing. Our company is in the construction industry, as employees come and go weekly, we should be able to add new ones as needed, but the time it takes to buy more licenses is a few days to get it turned around, while other platforms are instantaneous. " October 30, 2014 5.0 Pros I like how everything is at your fingertips including a tracking system of how many attempts you have made in contacting them. I also like that and you can go over a résumé and call the applicant in seconds by simply clicking a button. It's very handy and makes light work of ad call screening. Cons I haven't run into any issues as of yet. That said, I have nothing I like the least about it, because literally everything about it makes my job of recruiting easier.
