It has a very friendly interface and very good support from the platform. Also, the free version is a handful, and the premium plans are not expensive to buy. Pros It is incredibly easy to upload and manage videos on this software, aside from the fact of hosting a great number of videos online. Also, is easy and very intuitive to manage content on Wistia Cons There are almost no problems with this software. However, it is important to say of analytics is not very accurate and does not have support for oriental languages. It is very user friendly and intuitive. The staff at Wistia are awesome and responsive to inquiries. I would highly recommend them. Pros There are many things to love about Wistia. Some of the key things that I liked most are: - The simple user interface - The ability to customize for conversions (end screens, chaptering, CTA's etc.) - The ability to connect to HubSpot CRM with a more holistic picture of a lead to see what video content they have engaged with - The ability to duplicate videos for different locations to isolate performance data -The ability to provide our channel with video's and evaluate their performance - The ability to replace a video without having to update all the locations it exists. This option is awesome because you have the choice to keep the statistics or start fresh -The ability to make a channel and customize the channel for like content to keep the viewer engaged with like content - The ability to have various teams in Wisitia from Marketing, Sales, Support, UX etc and isolate access - The fact that they are continually putting out new features that are beneficial at various stages of the marketing and sales funnel Cons \-I wish it would a little easier to customize end screens and CTA's. It would be nice if there was templates you could use and alter for these with your own content and brand. Or if there was a marketplace to purchase high converting designs. - It would be nice to be able to customize the channel page more with your own brand fonts and layout options. Wistia also delivered what we were looking in terms of features to price. The last reason we went with Wistia was their service and staff. Which means that the platform internally generates several versions of the same video to release the most appropriate depending on the connection speed of the person who needs to watch the video. Cons The least I like about Wistia is that you can only create a free account with limited options that allows you to upload up to 50 videos, to upload in large amounts must be paid. We have worked smarter and not harder thanks to Wistia. Pros So many things, like the CTR, but if I have to choose one, I would say is the "replace media" feature. This has helped me replace media that needed some updates, and that is embedded in many places, without having to upload or embed again. Cons For the moment, I haven't encountered a problem with the platform, and when I do, or I need help, Wistia helps me out with great customer service. Pros Wistia offers a ton of features, but none that swayed my decision in using it to house my video content. It's clean, reliable, it works, and does a great job from a marketing standpoint. Pros Wistia is by far the best major player at protecting the content you put up. There are always ways to work around security if someone really wants to download your content, but so far Wistia has been the best. Cons The price point isn't cheap when you consider you could host for free on other platforms, but it's a small price to pay to have content that looks professional. As long as you're earning an income based on the video content you're storing on the site, it shouldn't be a big issue. Pros The ability to restrict the embedding of videos to certain domains combined with the improved user experience while viewing the video—through the lack of recommended videos—make Wistia a very appealing video embedding solution. Cons Although the interface is simple (pro), that can sometimes be a con as it appears minimalistic in features. Most of the features I was looking for are there, they're just not as noticeable as I'd like them to be. The ability to see where your videos are embedded is super helpful too as well as the video analytics to see how your content is performing. Cons It can be difficult to migrate content from channel pages to your regular library since they maintain a different URL structure. It's super easy to use, with valuable analytics and various customization options. If you need to update a video, it's no problem -- you can replace it without changing the link. They truly focus on video marketing whereas YouTube is really just for hosting and views. Plus, the customer service is top notch! (And if you ever get a chance to read their blog, you'll see these guys are video marketing experts) Cons Sometimes it can be a little buggy when adding captions to video. I also wish there was a way to schedule videos social instead of posting one by one - but that would just be a nice to have. Cons Sometimes can become a little pricy if you have a very large quantity of videos. Occasionally I have had a video not upload correctly and need re-uploading. It provides a lot of really good insight to where users are falling off and how long people are viewing. I also like the ability to add CTAs into the video to drive additional content views and conversion. Cons To take full advantage of Wistia as a tool, you really need to be producing good quality videos and driving a lot of views. If you don't have a lot of views, the data will be more anecdotal than truly representative of what a larger audience will do. January 25, 2012 5.0 Wistia offers our company all the necessary features the other platforms couldn't deliver on, and goes beyond our expectations for a video hosting solution. Wistia plays a major role in the everyday operations of our business. We've worked directly with Viddler, Kaltura, Ooyala and one of our major clients uses Brightcove. None of these Platforms compare in terms of functionality, API, and overall ease of use. Pros We went through many, many video platforms in the years before we began using Wistia. Now we've been using Wistia for almost a year, and we're not looking back. Wistia is more of a Project Manager than a mere Video Platform, and this is the greatest overall benefit we've realized. The ability to manage our clients as well as our videos is an indispensable feature provided by Wistia. Cons Not many - but in the interest of balance, we'd love to have Watermarks/Bugs - need this. Projects listed alphabetically, especially when searching - we have over 100 clients in Wistia - would love to see them sorted alpha instead of by date added. Different email addresses for different projects for ticketing. IE - project clients go to one ticketing board (for us), webcasting clients go to another email address, and thus board for us. Pros We use wistia for any video content that is extremely important for a user to see. There's tracking and analytics, CTAs, and a lot of flexibility with their video. For example: I can make different things happen when users are at the 50% mark of a video because of how easy Wistia makes. Plus, it's so easy to gather analytics in their dashboard.
