October 9, 2025 3.0 It’s been generally good - Intelex is good at providing responses to our questions (but sometimes the answers aren’t what we want!) We’d love to see more development resources put towards ACTS. Pros I like that ACTS allows us the flexibility to customize processes to our needs, especially with emission calculations Cons I don’t like the lack of integrations for cloud-based ACT, which is why we are still self hosted. We don’t want to go back to flat file imports just because there aren’t enough connectors available and the API isn’t robust enough. Review Source HK Hayden K. The software itself is fairly easy to use and access provided that you already know the design of its API. I feel that object relationships and the parameterization is somewhat esoteric and the API documentation doesn’t 100% address this, as it is somewhat generic and doesn’t explicitly name the behaviors of archival/deletion, expansion fields, etc. Pros Wide range of data points and flexibility. The app is able to ingest and customize data usages fairly easily. Cons Lack of documentation, data mappings, ERDs, etc. Difficulty in accessing and determining which system fields are correlated to which front end names. Review Source CW Carolyn W. So we are moving in the right direction. Pros System is flexible so we can make changes ourselves without having to go back to Intelex. This is a big selling point for me. Cons Lack of documentation. Pros The ability to customise each application by adding / removing fields and even creating your own applications! Cons That there is no proper admin / background training so we have to figure out how to change and customise fields ourselves. The loading time is also very long. It has a lot of potential to be great, but getting from point A to point B takes much more effort than it should. Pros Intelex is a beefy compliance platform that allows us to track any and all compliance data. I like how it can automate our compliance workflow across our various locations. Cons Because it's so beefy, it can be extremely cumbersome to learn and customize. I also dislike that you need to be very proactive with it. For example, updates don't automatically push; you need to proactively put in a support ticket for it. Moreover it takes a fair amount of tech savviness in order to customize the platform. Finally, the test environment doesn't seem to mirror production, so it's not completely reliable for seeing what the final product may look like. Review Source DV Daniel V. Struggled with the capabilities available as they become available, with user access randomly, and with response time to tickets or questions. Besides that it has been good, although there have been some performance issues. Pros That is web based, and the implementation/customization aspect of it. Cons Support to tickets and issues is lacking strongly. I have mostly used the software to QA/QC emissions data, this year specifically integrating a new basin into the portfolio. Pros ACTS- Functionality for customization and running data queries quickly. ACTS classic is my preferred interface. Cons There are limited functionalities in ACTS O&G compared to ACTS classic. Hoping to learn more! Pros Customization options - I like being able to make adjustments as needed for our organization. It is also very easy to archive terminated employees and reactivate as needed. I have been working with the software for almost 13 years and am constantly learning new things. Pros I really love the customizability of Intelex and the ability to fix or resolve items on my own. I like that I have the power to make specific changes to modules for Stepan related items Cons The difficulty to track down information on community and response time on tickets. The baseline application is adaptable to most clients' business needs with minimal to moderate effort. For more complex corporations, with multiple business units with individual needs, the Intelex platform is an extremely flexible solution that allows us to configure and tweak the solution to meet their needs. Having implemented the EHS system dozens of times - we are, with few exceptions, able to provide a solution that greatly improves: Quality of EHS data, Quantity of data via a simple user interface, ease of reporting and extracting data from the system along with standard OSHA reporting. Cons Depending on your industry, the base platform as delivered may require configuration to meet specific business needs. The software works well for a tri-lingual organizations. I'm part of one of the subsidiaries using Intelex, and also part of the global team handling the system for our corporation. Pros The possibilities we have to adapt the software to fit our needs, both through internal projects, but also through development projects lead by Intelex. We have used Intelex for about five years and have gone through a big development both with regards to internal adoption of the different solutions, but we have also seen a big improvement and development of the software plattform itself. Cons The possibilities means that you need to have a clear idea of where you want to end up. The out-of-the-box solutions does a great job, but it does also put a lot of responsibility on the client to scope out needs and assess which solutions would better suite our needs. It is easy to be able to customize the way the data goes into the system in order to be able to get the metrics that are required. The ability to be able to create applications from the ground up has also been beneficial. We did not use anything "out of the box" and have done a lot of customization throughout its use. We are really able to capture meaningful data and analyze it to make improvements. Cons As with all software, this one has its quirks causing some resistance from end users. This is extremely helpful when creating our annual OGSMs. Cons I have had good experiences with Intelex over my last 5 years of use. Intelex has many application options which make expansion to other areas in Safety, Quality, and Environmental very easy. However, you still need to take the time to improve the existing applications being used by your organization. " April 19, 2018 4.0 Data trending has helped with seeing areas of improvement in our facility. Has helped showing VPs safety trends. Pros I really like the reporting module because it is very easy to learn compared to the V5 module. Incident reporting was very easy to help people understand not only what their role is but also the workflow of the whole incident report. Cons The importing from V5 to V6 was a big struggle. We started this process about 4-5 months and we are still working on import issues that we run into. I do not like the I have to give access to individual people when scheduling a report.
