I value CampMinder most for its customer service - the program itself is great and quite easy to use, but the knowledge and friendliness of the CM team on call are truly amazing people who are always patient and willing to help. I have always hung up with them not only having my problem solved, but feeling more educated on how to use the software.

Pros

CampMinder is user friendly and its layout provides organized, easy-to-read navigation.

Cons

Reporting can be difficult at times - some of the back-end tools for pulling and compiling information are tricky to navigate or figure out how to go about it. But that's when a call to customer service will do the trick - they are always there to help.

Pros

It is very easy to use. Has great functionality and very rich reporting. It does everything we need. I really like the ability to run reports on anything I want to see. I am able to use it for staffing, all of my camp needs, and alumni.

Cons

It sometimes runs a little slowly but not often.

Pros

They have designed the software with the modern family in mind. Parents with kids in camp, kids who become staff, allowing us to review and accept applications, giving parents lots of opportunity to manage their own accounts, and most of all, the amazing tech support they provide.

Cons

Nothing I can think of yet! Any issues we have had, they help us get it sorted!

Pros

Ease of use, intuitive functionality, reports generated and tracking capabilities.

Cons

I don't really have any cons. The learning curve might be a little bit long but that will very according to each persons expertise in computer understanding.

We are a day camp so do feel it's more slanted to overnight "bunk" type camps but every time I had a problem the customer support was amazing and quick to respond

Pros

The reporting capability from financial to managing employees is pretty awesome

Cons

Cost - definitely more expensive than campbrain or similar products

Pros

I love the ability to work with registrations, applications, payments and medical treatment in one database. It has improved the quality of our lives immensely.

Cons

The communications functionality is very outdated, and the financial portion doesn't connect with QuickBooks. Also, they are slow to make important changes regarding diversity, equity and inclusion (such as gender and having the application in other languages).

Terrific, Excellent, Love it! I would not work for a camp that did not utilize the software. Be too big of a step backwards.

The reporting section is integral to all aspects of my job regarding camper information. It is excellent.

The year to year analysis, the financial capabilities, the reporting, staffing and communication options.

Cons

It hasn't figured out how to schedule my activities for my groups.

Could not have been better. The main rep I interact with has been so helpful and cool to deal with.

Pros

It has streamlined and improved literally everything I do as a camp director.

Cons

I can't think of a lot that doesn't work well. There are a lot of different components so it takes a while to learn it all, but that is more about the nature of running a camp than it is about the software.

Pros

The user friendliness of the software is by far my favorite. Even if you're not a pro with it you can still generally figure things out relatively quickly.

Cons

Sometimes if kids on the same account want to do the same bonus activity you cant add them both at the same time, so you have to individually do it. But if that's the worst I can come up with I'm sold.

It's an amazing way to keep organized for student (camper) enrollment and staffing. CampMinder is very responsive to camp's needs and their software has grown and developed over the years in response to needs of their clients. They are wonderful people to work with!

Pros

CampMinder handles many types of data and users so it's very functional and essential to our program, and their customer service is outstanding. Easy to add more users and to customize.

Cons

Can take a while to learn because it has so many features.

Pros

The depth of use for organizations to oversee multilateral programs.

Cons

It can be challenging to develop a platform for use if you are not a traditional summer camp, particularly for the purpose of getting, making, and organizing payments. I realize my program is an anomaly, however, and the system works impeccably for summer camps.

Pros

I am a CampMinder user as my daughter's sleep away camp uses it to manage family accounts. I've found it very easy to navigate and to enter information in, and it has the capacity to handle multiple pdf files and photos needed for registration. You can also email your camper through the portal and I love that feature.

Cons

I have no real complaints. Everything is very straightforward.

Pros

Campminder has a comprehensive set of features that are for the most part intuitive to find and use. The reporting feature is especially robust and the bunk assignment page is especially easy to use. In the past we've used the publication features of CampMinder to great success.

Cons

In the time that I've been using CampMinder, the interface has remained static and at this point is in need of an update. Uploading photos through CampMinder can be a headache - the software is buggy and at times unreliable.
