CampMinder helps up collect all the information we need quickly and easily. Pros The CampMinder software is so robust that I can create all kinds of reports to learn all kinds of things about our campers. I have never had a problem reaching someone from customer support when I cannot figure out how to do something, but usually I can find my answers in the videos. I also like being able to do the billing through the program. The program is so good that it saves my employer money because they only need a part-time registrar. Cons The definitions list in the reports building section is not as intuitive as it could be. Pros Easy to use, clear layout. Enrollment and Financial reports are easy to create. Our new, young staff are able to learn how to use it quickly. The customer support is amazing. Families are clearly linked together and I am able to look at one page and have all the information I need about a camper. CampMinder's tags and customer fields have made it possible for me to keep track of and report on campers from special groups or who are receiving scholarships so efficiently. I am saving so much time by making the software work for me. Cons CampMinder was created and developed for a typical summer camp. This means they are still developing a system that can accommodate some of the more complex sessions we offer. Running reports on users is so easy, finding items, and getting help is soooo easy! Pros One of the best parts about CampMinder is that the logic of the system is the same throughout - once you know how to perform one function, you can figure out how to do any other task. It's easy to explain to new users. Another enormous selling point is the amazing client and technical support. One the camp end, their support is amazing - great follow up and easy to reach. From the parent end, I know they have helped so many of our families with their needs and questions - no matter how small. Cons There are very few improvements that I would suggest (and already have), and I admire their culture of improvement and advancement - always looking to make the next version better than the previous version. June 11, 2019 5.0 Pros Transitioning from a system that relied heavily on manual data entry, CampMinder has revolutionized the way we were able to process leads and follow up with our campers. From camper leads to applied to enrolled, the accessibility for communicating with parents was incredibly intuitive and user friendly. Part of what I love so much about this system is how parent-friendly is it without sacrificing the work we have to do on the backend. Our parents have routinely commented on how easy it was to sign up for camp this year, and we agree that it was -so much easier-! Thanks, CampMinder! Cons There isn't anything specific that I like /least/ about CampMinder. The issues we've run into are things CampMinder is already in the works on implementing in the near future (particularly with financial breakdowns). Pros Excellent customer support, user-friendly, and a dream for gathering statistics. We're able to run reports easily, make notes, and scan information that we can access from year-to-year. Cons We wish we could schedule emails and attaching photos in emails is a little difficult. The tech support is unparalleled. Cons There is not an ability for families to register their children outside the "gender binary" of boy and girl. I have made repeated requests for this change to be made, and have always heard that the change will be made. I hope it happens soon! October 2, 2018 4.0 It’s great and does some things above and beyond what we would need it to. There are a couple of small things we would like - being based in the UK it is obviously very Americanized but a couple of small things such as printable labels in the sizes available in the UK would make a difference to us :) Pros Ability to easily and quickly generate reports. Can use the software anywhere in the world. Tutorial videos. Speed that customer support gets back to you. Reports are easily created, changed and run. Pros It does almost everything that we need. Reports are unlimited. Customer support is outstanding. Everyone is not only helpful but friendly and listens to what you have to say. Cons The financial end still does not give us clean reports for what we need. October 2, 2018 5.0 We've increased camper enrollment by 10-30% the last 3 years after we switched to CampMinder and have increased our 'additional options/add-ons' purchases tremendously. I have to attribute some of that to the ease of use of the system. Parents login/enroll with ease, love the photo/video features and ability to see what their camper purchases at the camp store. From an admin side, the financial reporting has helped me with budgeting more accurately and see trends at a glance. I would highly recommend this software above all others. I searched for several months before we chose CampMinder and I couldn't be happier with our decision. Pros Cloud-based, extensive/robust reporting, wonderful end-user experience, streamlines our staff application, camper application and donor info all in one platform. Excellent customer service. I also like the fact that if you can't figure something out you can either head over to the help section and see how to find the solution or you can contact a customer support and they can get you what you need to know. Cons The way that it is set up could be a little more user friendly. There are buttons and tools that don't make a lot of sense as to where they are in the menu. It is also hard when you are relying on this software to keep track of important information and there are a lot of outages. You should always have a back up system just in case. Software is very comprehensive, even if it takes a bit of a learning curve, with the exception of bookkeeping. It is very customizable for accounts receivable and performs well as a whole. Pros Very functionally powerful, with many applications for camping businesses - with the exception of booking keeping. Compared to our numbers from the previous summers we saw an increase in enrollments, which is absolutely amazing. Any time I have needed to call the customer service line i would explain the issue I was having and they explained it step by step how to correct it and how to do it the right way. CampMinder here for us has been great. We love being able to print a report for all campers/staff to see have forms are missing or just anything in general. Love it!! Pros I love how everything is digital and with a little database knowledge it's very easy to navigate. The medical section of this is stunning and and our camp loves and used it to it's full capacity. Everything about it is hands down just amazing. Cons With staff housing (bunking) I don't like that for each session we have to input the staff bunking over and over. If at any time I need help I can call a real person -who speaks English -and they will be able to help me AT THAT TIME!!! Cons Remembering to click exactly what I what -each little box I need, is sometimes a hassle. I have to pay close attention, otherwise the reports I create may not be accurate.
