### "Great software for all kinds of financial statement reports"

August 4, 2023

4.0

This system facilitates the entry of invoices and the administration of team expenditures. We required an agency-wide application because of the variety of our activities. Our team has found Sage to be straightforward to learn and use, particularly for invoice entry and approval procedures.

Pros

Sage Intacct's collaborative features are a big plus for me. The primary navigational ribbon located at the system's top makes clicking through to explore further a breeze. Receipt of revenue can be easily recorded, as can the complicated intercompany receivables that go along with them.

Cons

The difficulty certain managers and approvers have in searching for specific data is currently my main complaint, but I'm confident that this can be fixed with some fine-tuning.

Clients are very accessible. Easy to use menus for making new clients, products, and bills. And I had no trouble obtaining the required reports. Intacct simplified things for me, if I may say so.

### "ERP Sorted"

January 22, 2026

5.0

My overall experience with Sage Intacct has been very positive. It is a robust, cloud-native financial management system that delivers strong core accounting, excellent reporting, and solid scalability for growing organizations. The dimensional accounting model and real-time dashboards significantly improved financial visibility and decision-making, while features like multi-entity consolidation and automation streamlined month-end close and reduced manual effort.

Pros

Its combination of powerful financial functionality and intuitive usability. The real-time reporting and dimensional accounting stood out in particular, as they made it easy to slice financial data by department, project, or location without complex workarounds. I also appreciated how well it supports multi-entity and multi-currency operations, which is critical for scaling organizations. Overall, it felt like a modern, cloud-native ERP that delivered strong controls and transparency while still being flexible enough to adapt to evolving business needs.

Cons

some advanced configurations and customizations required a fair amount of technical expertise or partner support

### "Powerful and Scalable Financial System That Delivers"

March 23, 2026

4.0

Our overall experience with Sage Intacct has been very positive. It provides a strong financial infrastructure with the flexibility and depth needed to support a growing organization. The system has significantly improved our reporting capabilities and internal visibility, which has been valuable for both management and audit purposes. While implementation and onboarding require some upfront effort, the long-term benefits outweigh the initial investment. In terms of value for money, Sage Intacct delivers a high-quality solution that scales well as organizational needs evolve.

Pros

Sage Intacct is a robust and highly scalable financial system that works especially well for multi-entity and nonprofit organizations. The dimensional reporting is a standout feature, allowing for detailed insights across programs, locations, and funding sources without overcomplicating the chart of accounts. Reporting is flexible and audit-friendly, and the system integrates well with other tools. Overall, it provides strong controls and visibility for finance teams.

Cons

There is a learning curve for new users, particularly for non-finance staff, and some workflows can take time to fully optimize during implementation. However, once configured properly, the system runs smoothly and efficiently.

### "Some good functionality, but pretty bad interface/workflows"

March 18, 2026

3.0

It does the job, but it seems pretty behind its peers (Dynamics, Acumatica, even QuickBooks) with regards to UX/UI — the way the entities are structured and screens don’t let you easily search, etc. Somewhat messy infrastructure.

Pros

I like the usage of dimensions (classes, etc.) and account groups so you can avoid a bloated chart of accounts.

Cons

The user workflows and interface. It’s difficult (more time-consuming) to access basic accounting information than it is in other system.

### "Pretty Good But Pretty Frustrating"

January 16, 2026

3.0

Overall I'd say that overall it's fine. I do feel like trying to find information in Sage is very frustrating and time consuming. Hopefully as I get more used to the system I'll get more comfortable with how to find data, but for the most part I feel like it is not as intuitive as it could be.

Pros

I like that Sage has good integrations. Additionally the Sage University and amount of available trainings are very helpful.

Cons

I feel like getting data out of Sage can be very difficult and cumbersome. I feel like I'm constantly running reports trying to find what boxes I need to check to get the right data out of the system. For example, I previously worked with Business Central and my main starting point for finding GL data was the Chart of Accounts where I could see balances as of "right now". From there I could click on the balance and drill down into the GL data and filter by dates and date ranges to quickly see what data I was looking at. I could then click on "Find Entries" to drill down even further. In Sage I can't even see what a GL balance is without running a Trial Balance. Additionally, I have to make sure I run the TB for a wide enough date range so that if I have to hunt for a transaction I can make sure its in there, otherwise I'll have to go back and adjust the parameters. Then once the GL data is displayed, I'm not able to sort it in any way (largest to smallest, etc.). The only way to sort the data is by exporting it to excel, sorting it, finding your transactions, then going back into Sage and hunting for it manually again. Additionally, when Sage opens things in a separate "popup" window, it only allows me to have 1 "popup" window open at a time. If I'm looking at a transaction in a popup then I click on something else that requires a popup, the first popup is overridden by the second one. This makes searching for transactions and trying to follow what happened in the system very difficult because I'm not able to view all the info I need to at once. Additionally, it feels like I'm not able to customize reports to provide all the information I need in one place. For example, if I'm trying to understand the value of invoices sent out in a certain date range by location, I can't just run the "AR ledger" report. In order to get the Location ID of my AR data, I have to run an "Invoice Analysis" report, which has multiple lines per invoice (to show the individual line items on every invoice), export that detail, then create a pivot table by location. Maybe this can be solved through a custom report, but those aren't intuitive either. It gets very frustrating when I know the information is in the system but I can't customize the columns in reports to show the date in the most useful way, I have to jump through hoops to get what I need.

### "A Great Bundle"

April 1, 2026

5.0

We used it for all of our accounting functions and it works seemlessly with outside apps like Procurement software.

Pros

Easy to use and a good value for the money. It was easy for us to expand how we wanted to use the software, and they were very prompt with the customer support.

Cons

We rarely ran into issues with Sage and if we did they were on top of helping us navigate the issue and even would put in a request for updates if needed. The least favorite was some of the reporting.

### "Sage Effective and User friendly"

March 19, 2026

5.0

Pros

Sage Intact platform is extremely user friendly. The design and layout make navigation seamless. We love the utilization of GL outlier detection, bank match rules, and recurring J/E. Sage integration with RAMP AP is amazing and was such a breath of fresh air that it was so easy to connect.

Cons

There are not many cons to how we interact with Sage today. The one thing I would note is more out of the box reporting to help streamline dashboard creation.

Decent Once You Learn The Ins and Outs-It was a bit of a learning curve-Sometimes it is a bit hard to find answers to questions without going through the third party

Pros

Ease of Use and Transparency of Financial reporting. Being able to customize users and the access to the system.

Cons

Pros

It does what it was designed to do. It’s easy for our administrators to add and remove users. Once you understand how the program works it is easy to quickly pull reports

Cons

### "Sage Intacct"

November 26, 2025

4.0

Sage Intacct is a strong fit for nonprofits that need transparency, compliance, and multi-dimensional financial insight. It provides clear visibility into programs, grants, and funding sources, which helps organizations make data-driven decisions and meet reporting requirements with confidence. While the setup and training require an upfront investment, the long-term benefits—streamlined audits, reduced manual work, and stronger financial oversight—make it a valuable solution for mission-driven organizations looking to scale their impact.

Pros

Accessible from anywhere, with strong role-based permissions and the ability to grow with the organization. Smooth connections with systems like Salesforce, bill-pay platforms, and budgeting tools. Real-time access, clear audit trails, and solid internal controls make audits smoother and reduce manual reconciliations. Customizable dashboards give executives and program managers clear visibility into budgets, spending, and outcomes.

Cons

The system is powerful, but navigation and setup can feel complex for new users. Some advanced reports or workflows require help from consultants or Intacct partners.

### "Made for Accountants"

September 17, 2025

5.0

I really like Sage Intacct. The implementation was pretty easy, the various input screens within the applications are similar, so training is easier, the many dimensions and customization helps us with tracking and reporting.

Pros

I like Intacct’s automations, as they help us keep our accounting team lean and efficient. I like all the dimensions that help us track grants and other funding sources. I have found the system to be very intuitive.

Cons

The cost is a bit prohibitive, but it’s in line with its competitors. The support is sometimes not very responsive.

### "Intacct Review"

November 24, 2025

4.0

Overall, my experience with Sage Intacct has been excellent. We previously used Sage 50, so moving to a cloud-based system gave us real-time visibility and much better reporting capabilities. After implementing automation, we eliminated a lot of repetitive tasks in AP/AR and month-end, which significantly improved accuracy and turnaround time. The combination of a more modern platform plus automated workflows really streamlined our financial processes.

Pros

It made accounting reporting feel easy. The visibility and automation were the biggest wins. Importing bank files during bank reconciliation has improved that process significantly. The automation has also been extremely helpful.

Cons

The only challenge we experienced was around integrations. Sage Intacct doesn’t connect directly to our bank, and syncing with Concur came with added fees. It wasn’t a dealbreaker, but it did add some extra steps.

### "Happy customer"

5.0

We went live Feb 2024, and have had a very good experience with it. The kickoff was on time and done well with the team that we used. I look forward to using Sage until I get to the age of retirement, which is nowhere in sight!

Pros

Once you get into the system, it is very manageable and easy to manipulate for your needs. It has a ton of reports that you can customize yourself, with no assistance needed from the Sage support team. It's easy to add items and projects as needed.

Cons

The inventory system is not suitable for our needs. Due to the amount of line items that we are using, and different manufacturers of materials it has become more of a headache to use the Sage inventory system than to use Excel.

### "Sage Intacct Roles and Processes"

July 14, 2025

5.0

I thoroughly enjoy using Sage Intacct and still learning the process and have no major complaints. Looking forward to learning more about the reports features.

Pros

Sage Intacct was purchased to move our accounting records into a multi-entity software for financial reporting. Strengths: User friendly with easy to use menus, multi currency, both TOP and ENTITY level transactions, and multiple levels of permissions; you can create job roles. Easy integration for payroll purposes (Paylocity). We have not started to use our Fixed Asset Module. Weaknesses: the 'Other Receipts' has no approval process such as Draft to Post

Cons

Software comes with a price. We're spending about $80k and this is for Software in the Cloud -- we don't own it.

It has been a long trying process to get everything working correctly. Our manager suggests spending more money to get consulting hours without the promis it will work as expected. We even asked for a demo to confirm it would work without any success.

November 18, 2025

4.0

I like the product more than our prior software, however, the implementation company we used was terrible and I feel like we are not getting the best use of the software even after spending almost double our original quote.

Pros

### "Steer Clear of this Company"

December 4, 2025

1.0

The entire experience with Sage Intacct has been truly awful. The sales team is slick and convincing, but the product is convoluted and overly complicated, to the point that any company without 10 full time staff accountants who grew up using Sage Intacct will be wasting their money. Unless you are a Fortune 500 company that actually doesn't care about your accounting staff, steer clear of this product.

Pros

There is really not a lot of good I can say about Sage Intacct. I could compliment their sales staff since they are pretty effective as sounding like it's a good product. They pretend to do their due diligence in matching the customer needs to the product, so I suppose acting is a strength as well.

Cons

We presented our use case to the company and the product they connected us with is completely useless for what we need to do. The onboarding and configuration was handled so poorly that we haven't been able to close our books for almost a year. Quite frankly, a basic subscription to QBO (15x less expensive) will add more value to your company than Sage Intacct. When we expressed our concerns about the utility of the product the response was basically, "sorry, you bought it, so deal with it."

Overall, Sage has given our team an easy to use home base for our accounting records and allows us to alter and integrate addons that streamline our process

Pros

Sage is an integral part of our day-to-day operations. We heavily utilize the base platform as well as its many integration capabilities - payroll, inventory, etc.

Cons

### "Decent product"

August 25, 2025

3.0

It is a decent product for small companies. It doesn't have all the features a medium company needs, such as custom approvals.

Pros

There are a lot of custom options, such as custom fields and custom dimensions. It is pretty intuitive to learn to use.

Cons

AP approval rules are very limited, and the system allows approvals to be done in any order, instead of requiring a specific order. Reports are complicated to create and require a lot of maintenance when new GLs are added. I also wish there was a better third party AP processing option, as the native one takes a week, even for ACH payments.

Cons

The customer service. We asked for one year of grace and was told we should be grateful we don't have to pay an invoice that was wrongly charged to our account.

Response from Sage

August 19, 2025

Hi, Audra. I'm beyond mortified you've had this experience. It's definitely not consistent with how we operate. Please let me know whether you bought Intacct from Sage directly or through a reseller, and I'll work through the proper channels to get you the support you need.

### "Easy of use"

October 31, 2025

4.0

While those add-ons mentioned above can get expensive, the overall performance and usability of the system makes it a solid choice for a small financial department such as us.

Pros

Overall my experience with SAGE has been good. What I like most is how user-friendly the system is, easy to navigate and is pretty self-explanatory, which makes the product easy to use even without a lot of training.

Cons

The main downside is the cost for additional features, such as individual licensures or integrations like the BILL/Divy credit card.
