### "Great software for all kinds of financial statement reports"

August 4, 2023

4.0

This system facilitates the entry of invoices and the administration of team expenditures. We required an agency-wide application because of the variety of our activities. Our team has found Sage to be straightforward to learn and use, particularly for invoice entry and approval procedures.

Pros

's collaborative features are a big plus for me. The primary navigational ribbon located at the system's top makes clicking through to explore further a breeze. Receipt of revenue can be easily recorded, as can the complicated intercompany receivables that go along with them.

Cons

The difficulty certain managers and approvers have in searching for specific data is currently my main complaint, but I'm confident that this can be fixed with some fine-tuning.

Clients are very accessible. Easy to use menus for making new clients, products, and bills. And I had no trouble obtaining the required reports. Intacct simplified things for me, if I may say so.

### "An easy and flexible solution"

April 27, 2026

4.0

Overall Sage has been a great solution for us and I would make the same decision again. It is a flexible and expandable platform that can be adjusted to meet evolving business needs.

Pros

The implementation process was fantastic and very well organized. Day to day administration of the software is easy because of the quality of the written documentation. We have found Intacct to have the flexibility we need to adjust to our business growing and changing over time. A big piece of this is the large number of marketplace partners providing third party solutions to expand Intacct.

Cons

The most difficult things in Intacct has been the customer report writer. The stock reports are well done and are a good starting point for creating your own reports but when a more customized solutions is needed the custom report writer is where you need to go. The good news is that the custom report writer is very well featured and you can pull just about anything you want to with it. The trade off is that it is very complicated and writing the report and doing the necessary tweaks is very time consuming.

### "Not worth the price"

May 4, 2026

2.0

I would never implement Sage at another company. There are many cheaper options available that are functionally superior, especially as it pertains to reporting.

Pros

The only module in Sage that I find useful is the contracts module for deferred revenue recognition. I'm not sure how the competition compares, so that may not be saying much.

Cons

Sage reporting is terrible. If you add an account it does not automatically add to your reports. Quickbooks is preferable, which is laughable given the price of this software. Its also extremely difficult to learn how to create and manipulate reports. Who wants to spend weeks in classes? Its not user friendly. Also, the invoices don't include billing periods which should be standard for any accounting software. We have to pay for an add on from Armanino which is not ideal.

### "One Happy Accountant"

March 18, 2026

5.0

I struggled with the concept of dimensions in during the exploration phase with my integrator. After I came to understand that it was like magic happened. It changed the way I thought about the chart of accounts, transactions, reporting and how streamlined I could make the audit. It has been an amazing journey and I hope to finish my career with Sage Intacct being the last accounting application I ever use! Where was this during the first 25 years of my career?

Pros

The thing that I like most about is the flexibility to design and tailor dashboards and dashlets to each of our team members with budget responsibility. The ease of use of the drill-down ability enables the non accounting team to view their spend real-time, which enables them to focus on their mission centric tasks and maximize ROI. As a bonus. it enables the accounting team to be hyper efficient and focus efforts on higher level tasks. That makes the investment in dashboards a must have for our organization.

Cons

Honestly, I have been the CFO of my organization for 18 years and have used a wide variety of accounting applications over the course of my 30 year career. I can honestly say, there isn't much that I don't like about . Maybe I'm fortunate (or just got lucky), but I can't recall experiencing a bug or issue with the product - which is not true for the other applications I have used. Updates are frequent enough, but not too frequent. I have been using Sage Intacct for 4 years and have yet had to log a single support ticket. When I have stumbled onto what could have been bugs or issues, I can usually find the solution/answer in the training materials or help database. Well done Sage team! Well done!

### "Happy customer"

April 29, 2026

4.0

We need less support, and if we do need it, it is readerly available. The down time before on upgrades etc. has also been a big improvement for us.

Pros

Ease of use- it is easy to acquaint oneself, online access - important to be able to work from anywhere, customer support, bugs and issues

Cons

Moving from a big ERP system we had our concerns if all business processes where still in place. We are very happy with the result.

### "You Can't Go Wrong With Intacct!"

May 1, 2026

5.0

It didn't take long to get familiar and comfortable with Intacct. Most of the information is straightforward, you just need to get in and use the system. It is worth getting some training, especially for areas where you want to focus on. Also, if you are a former MIP user like me, I think it will be easier to get used to Intacct.

Pros

It's pretty easy to use. I was using NetSuite before, which is a good system, but Sage is a lot easier to use and provides the same things, such as revenue recognition and allocations. I also love that there are many interfaces with so many other systems, such as Salesforce, bill.com, etc.

Cons

Creating reports can take a little time to get used to, but once you figure out how to maneuver it becomes pretty straightforward.

### "Sage Intacct is the best for mid-size organizations"

April 21, 2026

5.0

We are very happy with the decision to go with . It has dramatically improved our processes, and it integrates very well with 3rd party software.

Pros

The implementation was much less painful than I expected. The software was very easy to get my team trained on as well, although they were used to a old outdated software.

Cons

The reporting wasn't very intuitive. Although you can build reports with the proper guidance and/or training, it does take a little bit of effort to get the reports where you want them to be.

Our partner and account manager have been with us every step of the way. Implementation is a journey not a destination.

Pros

I like the accessibility and the reporting flexibility. It gives me access to data insights that were not possible in Safe 50.

Cons

### "My two cents ; )"

April 21, 2026

4.0

Overall happy. I think it is expensive for what it is. I find the overall support, training etc. to be below par.

Pros

It is intuitive to use. Easy to navigate. Has all the basic accounting functions and it works well (minimal glitches).

Cons

Support is hit or miss depending on who you get. Some of your other platforms that you own don't truly integrate well with SAGE which is frustrating. I don't like that you have to pay to access educational material on your platform, that should be at no cost.

### "Complex to Navigate, Impressive Scaling"

May 13, 2026

3.0

Not very easy to use, but the scaling and accuracy is impressive. Not very easy to receive support from . Long waiting times to get answers for questions or help with, for example, importing data, even thorugh very high rates are charged for this support.

Pros

I appreciate 's ability to process large volumes of data, which is crucial as our company grows and our revenue increases. The consistent accuracy in billing our members from around the world is reassuring.

Cons

I find not very user-friendly. It feels like only a Sage expert can use it effectively. For example, using printed document templates for invoices is challenging. You have to find the correct merge field to use in Word documents, and there's no way to see how the invoice will look until you send out a test invoice. The initial setup was also terribly difficult, and we are still struggling with it.

### "Pretty Good But Pretty Frustrating"

January 16, 2026

3.0

Overall I'd say that overall it's fine. I do feel like trying to find information in Sage is very frustrating and time consuming. Hopefully as I get more used to the system I'll get more comfortable with how to find data, but for the most part I feel like it is not as intuitive as it could be.

Pros

I like that Sage has good integrations. Additionally the Sage University and amount of available trainings are very helpful.

Cons

I feel like getting data out of Sage can be very difficult and cumbersome. I feel like I'm constantly running reports trying to find what boxes I need to check to get the right data out of the system. For example, I previously worked with Business Central and my main starting point for finding GL data was the Chart of Accounts where I could see balances as of "right now". From there I could click on the balance and drill down into the GL data and filter by dates and date ranges to quickly see what data I was looking at. I could then click on "Find Entries" to drill down even further. In Sage I can't even see what a GL balance is without running a Trial Balance. Additionally, I have to make sure I run the TB for a wide enough date range so that if I have to hunt for a transaction I can make sure its in there, otherwise I'll have to go back and adjust the parameters. Then once the GL data is displayed, I'm not able to sort it in any way (largest to smallest, etc.). The only way to sort the data is by exporting it to excel, sorting it, finding your transactions, then going back into Sage and hunting for it manually again. Additionally, when Sage opens things in a separate "popup" window, it only allows me to have 1 "popup" window open at a time. If I'm looking at a transaction in a popup then I click on something else that requires a popup, the first popup is overridden by the second one. This makes searching for transactions and trying to follow what happened in the system very difficult because I'm not able to view all the info I need to at once. Additionally, it feels like I'm not able to customize reports to provide all the information I need in one place. For example, if I'm trying to understand the value of invoices sent out in a certain date range by location, I can't just run the "AR ledger" report. In order to get the Location ID of my AR data, I have to run an "Invoice Analysis" report, which has multiple lines per invoice (to show the individual line items on every invoice), export that detail, then create a pivot table by location. Maybe this can be solved through a custom report, but those aren't intuitive either. It gets very frustrating when I know the information is in the system but I can't customize the columns in reports to show the date in the most useful way, I have to jump through hoops to get what I need.

### "Would Recommend"

November 5, 2025

5.0

Pros

What I like most about is how easy it makes complex financial management. The dimensional structure is a game changer — I can slice and filter data by program, department, or fund without creating hundreds of GL accounts. Reports that used to take hours in Excel now take minutes, and they actually stay accurate. The dashboards are clean and customizable, which makes it simple to share real-time numbers with leadership or the board. Automation for things like allocations, recurring entries, and approvals saves a huge amount of time each month. It also integrates smoothly with systems like ADP, which keeps our data consistent across platforms.

Cons

Some of the reporting is way more difficult than I think it needs to be. I wish there were a world that I could just pick what accounts I want listed on a report and not "groups". Certain changes/corrections are impossible to make; you have to reverse everything and start all over.

### "Intacct Review"

November 24, 2025

4.0

Overall, my experience with has been excellent. We previously used Sage 50, so moving to a cloud-based system gave us real-time visibility and much better reporting capabilities. After implementing automation, we eliminated a lot of repetitive tasks in AP/AR and month-end, which significantly improved accuracy and turnaround time. The combination of a more modern platform plus automated workflows really streamlined our financial processes.

Pros

It made accounting reporting feel easy. The visibility and automation were the biggest wins. Importing bank files during bank reconciliation has improved that process significantly. The automation has also been extremely helpful.

Cons

The only challenge we experienced was around integrations. doesn’t connect directly to our bank, and syncing with Concur came with added fees. It wasn’t a dealbreaker, but it did add some extra steps.

Good program, but did not serve our puposed for production and inventory tracking. We were not able to find proper solution.

Pros

User friendly. Easy to learn, systematic. I like the reporting package, and building reports for Dashboards.

Cons

I have used Sage 50 for several years prior to using . I definitely prefer the additional functionality and capabilities of Sage Intacct to that of 50. I would like to see more training available to users.

Pros

Some of the most likeable pros with are the cloud access anywhere without VPNs or desktop installs, the growing automation technology being offered and the potential of the dashboard capabilities.

### "Powerful and Scalable Financial System That Delivers"

March 23, 2026

4.0

Our overall experience with has been very positive. It provides a strong financial infrastructure with the flexibility and depth needed to support a growing organization. The system has significantly improved our reporting capabilities and internal visibility, which has been valuable for both management and audit purposes. While implementation and onboarding require some upfront effort, the long-term benefits outweigh the initial investment. In terms of value for money, Sage Intacct delivers a high-quality solution that scales well as organizational needs evolve.

Pros

is a robust and highly scalable financial system that works especially well for multi-entity and nonprofit organizations. The dimensional reporting is a standout feature, allowing for detailed insights across programs, locations, and funding sources without overcomplicating the chart of accounts. Reporting is flexible and audit-friendly, and the system integrates well with other tools. Overall, it provides strong controls and visibility for finance teams.

Cons

April 30, 2026

Overall, I still prefer QuickBooks, but I do see value that Sage offers that QuickBooks doesn't. If Sage offered the features mentioned above, I would likely prefer it over QB.

Pros

I like the customizability of the software. We're a nonprofit with multiple entities, so it's important that we be able to make the software do what we need it to do.

Cons

There are features I feel are common sense that aren't available, such as the ability to attach documentation to anything, the ability to "next" through credit card transactions, and the ability to reclass credit card transactions post-reconciliation.

is a robust, scalable solution that gives our finance team the tools to work smarter and more efficiently. It’s ideal for organizations looking to grow and gain deeper financial visibility.

Pros

has transformed how we manage financial operations. The multi-dimensional general ledger is a standout feature—it allows us to track financials across departments, locations, and projects with ease. The reporting and dashboards are highly customizable and provide real-time insights that support strategic decision-making. Integration with Rippling Payroll and Rippling Spend has streamlined our workflows, especially in payroll and expense management. The cloud-based platform is reliable and accessible, which is a huge plus for remote collaboration.

Cons

The custom report builder has a learning curve and could be more intuitive for non-technical users. Initial setup takes time, but once configured, the system runs smoothly.

Thanks so much for your kind and thorough review. I'm glad to hear everything is running so smoothly for you and that you're making the most of Intacct's incredible features. I'll also be sure to share your feedback about the learning curve with our product team to see if there are ways we can simplify the custom report builder. Reach out to me if you have specific examples of ways we could improve. Thanks again!

### "Easy to Learn"

May 27, 2026

3.0

It has been very easy to learn and navigate. I have more experience with Sage 300 but was able to learn Intacct very easily.

Pros

Easy to navigate. Easy to learn. If you have common sense you will be able to get the hang of Intacct easily.

Cons

Not being able to see history on AP like you can see in Sage 300. In Sage 300 you could select vendors and then click on a specific vendor and see all invoices tied to that vendor.
