### "Great product with many easy-to-implement quick wins"

Problems 1.) Having access to prints while in the field (either had to carry copies, or make trip back to the office); 2.) Keeping communications between field sups and subs and being able to share among sups and with office staff to track repairs/corrections subs were assigned; 3.) Managing and being able to access the vast amounts of paper and photos that were being kept in paper records. All of these were addressed within the first 30 - 60 days of going live.

Pros

Internal staff, field supervisors and subcontractors all have access to prints, order info and option selections no matter where they are! Trips to the main office no longer necessary to answer many questions from the field. Also, have the ability to load historical jobs for reference and warranty work. Crews and supervisors can communicate issues found and addressed through sharing pictures and comments which can be seen by all supervisors and office staff, rather than just one-off via a text message and picture sent to one person.

Cons

There is no posted list of planned features to be released and no means for tracking feature requests. Options for filtering jobs is very limited and does not allow for using custom fields. Not a "con," but a needed feature - video trainings for subcontractors in Spanish. It would be Very helpful to refer subs to these as a supplement to the orientation and training we provide as we provide access to crews.

Change orders are one of the biggest Money changers, with Buildertrend you don't lost money on Change orders. You have them sign off on them and they are so much easier to keep up with. With Buildertrend it has cut my Phone calls down so much that I enjoy life again. When I'm on Vacation I know what is going on with each job and so does everyone else so they don't have to call me to find out.

Pros

It keeps my team , Subs & Suppliers , Homeowners all on the same page through out the whole Process. with all the info in one place you always know where to go find it.

Cons

when it kick me out between the times I get on it , and that is all day every day and I have to log back in.

Reason for choosing Buildertrend

I had been looking for a long time fr an APP, but I could not find one that was custom enough they were are for Track builders. The ones I found find did not have confidence in their product , if they did they would not want you to sign a 5 year contract. When Buildertrend told me they do not sign contracts, I knew they had confidence in what they were doing.

### "Overall, A Great Product to Use"

We are not using all the functions of BT. Scheduling subs, sending POs, change orders are great for us.

Pros

It's functionality. Most things are simple. When I don't know how to do something, I can easily chat with someone who will walk me through it. Also loved all the videos to help me get trained on the system.

Cons

Doesn't have an "undo" button. Example: as I am making payments in the Purchase Order Payment Details section, I may hit the Make Partial Payment button and then realize I wanted to add something in the Payment Notes. I can't do that without voiding out the payment and starting over. In the past, I have had long wait times to speak to someone to help me. Haven't needed anything lately, so I don't know if this has improved. The QuickBooks/BT sync was a disaster. I had to uninstall. Way too many problems and the support couldn't help me on the QB side. I'm not interested in doing this again. Selections is a section that we looked at, but because we build custom homes and all selections are different, we didn't try to venture into using that feature.

### "Building a Trend"

Was used when advising a custom home builder. His clients loved it. He loved it. His partners loved it. ...but, he was paying $399/mo to use about 10% of its power and realize "10% of the 10%'s" potential.

Pros

Clients and Sub-Contractors love it, and it nails-it with respect to the execution of task scheduling and overall project management, the most essential functions.

Cons

It feels more complicated than it needs to be. Perhaps it's a reflection of their broad and deep capabilities, but I sense and suspect that we're missing out on easily-accessible value-creation potential merely because adoption & utilization is slower than it could/should be due to not focusing on the most high-impact essentials.

Pros

BuilderTrend offers a comprehensive approach to managing customer interactions, project development and construction management. Implementing BuilderTrend will help you define processes for the key elements of your business - the processes that help you make the most money!

Cons

BuilderTrend integrates with QuickBooks desktop but the interface can be a bit clunky. It does work but requires a bit of patience, as do all things QuickBooks.

We wanted to solve our efficiency, we had several software programs that could not talk with each other. Builder trend solved these issues for us. One of the biggest we absolutely love is the purchase order/budget section. You know exactly real time costs and you can control overruns.

Pros

What we most like about Buildertrend is the whole system, from Sales through to Project Management. We investigated several software programs before choosing Buildertrend. It ticked all the boxes we were looking for. We started with Sales and slowly implemented each area and then onto Project Management with the support of our training consultant. Buildertrend is constantly improving the software. I would highly recommend getting started today.

Cons

The time needed to implement and learn the software fully. However once we took one area at a time, learnt if fully with the training support it definitely became easier as we went along.

Our small business has been able to function like a much larger company because of the features in Buildertrend. We communicate faster and with more consistency.

Pros

We like the ability to track clients from the initial meeting to a completed project within one toolset. It makes scheduling client meetings and follow-ups easy to manage centrally, and allows all of the team members to view their specific tasks. The proposal writing features really help to streamline the process of creating / reviewing and sending proposals to clients, and allows clients to approve online which saves a lot of back and forth. Rich applications sets like this can be overwhelming to implement, but there is a good amount of training / coaching available up front.

Cons

There are some options that are hard coded into the system (such as lead activity type) which would be nice to customize for our business. The service is a bit pricey for using with multiple small projects.

### "Construction Company Organization and Scheduling Must"

Our business sends jobs out for bid, the subcontractors see those right away and submit bids with the software. Our business schedules all jobs and subcontractors see the schedule and know when to work without a phone call. We get told we are one of the best companies because we stick to a schedule. I believe it is because of Buildertrend. Production in construction has to be highly organized and Buildertrend helps us keep customer jobs and their selections up to date for subcontractors and home owners to view.

Pros

Buildertrend is very easy to use and operate. The ability to upload all sizes and quality of files in a flash is wonderful, as well as download files to my PC. I do that the most so that is what I like the best.

Cons

The lease thing I like...If I had to choose something: When scrolling through our job names on the left folder pane, in order to select a name after the letter "M" as an example, I have to check "see all 100 jobs or more?" every time I select a new job or have to go back to select a job name.

Overall the experience has been nice. As someone who is constantly on the road or at a project site I would love it if the mobile application worked more consistently. If you only plan to use this software in an office environment then I think it is a great value for the price.

Pros

CoContruct lives up to his brand of a fully integrated system by providing all the important project management features from financial management to client management. This program has been a great tool for all of my remodeling projects. I am impressed by the ability to communicate financial tracking directly with the client.

Cons

The mobile version looks great. It is clean and very easy to use. However it is very glitchy like most mobile project management software. I have experienced numerous error messages while trying to use their mobile app.

It's really been a great experience overall. Especially with having my doubts about the software at first. It caused me to thoroughly examine it and modify it to work as we need it to, which was a pleasant surprise. The Daily Log feature is great and our customers love it. Overall, very happy with BT and looking forward to future improvements.

Pros

What I like most is BuilderTREND encompassed everything we need in one software, project management, accounting, selections, etc. It's also very user friendly and cross functional with you mobile device. We are a commercial general contractor, and when I first started using BT, I had concerns it would not give us all the information we needed. However, after using for almost a year, I am a HUGE fan and would recommend it for any small to medium sized commercial GC.

Cons

My biggest complaint with BuilderTREND is the financial aspect. After using it for almost a year now, we've been able to overcome some of it's difficencies. As a commercial GC, we really want to be able to project our final cost on projects and determine how much buyout we have. We've been able to utilize the NEW EXPECTED feature to help determine these figures. One change I would recommend is not having customer change orders automatically added to line items once the change order is approved. I would prefer this to be a manual function.

I have enjoyed using Buildertrend and am learning new features all the time which only helps to improve the experience. The best part about Buildertrend is the homeowner involvement. They can see their job happening, ask questions, see pictures, follow the schedules, approve and decline details. This has been a great communication tool which keeps everyone in the loop.

Pros

I like most about Buildertrend the Jobs Menu/ categorization features. By having the capability for each message, selection, change order etc. to be allocated to one specific place this organizes the information.

Cons

Something that is frustrating on Buildertrend is when uploading a new Selection I cannot save this information without releasing it. There is also only one time for each new selection that the Homeowner can be notified. This would be better if set up more like the Change Order system, information can be uploaded and saved to be released later. It would be nice if the system were available in Spanish and other languages for a lot of the subcontractors we work with and would like to utilize the system.

We implemented the software and quickly ran into difficulties with granularity of control. Communication in particular was rather pedestrian to just plain bad.

Pros

Simple. Simple to operate, simple to learn, far too simple it turns out

Cons

Too feature poor, little real reporting, poor differentiation between projects (IN REPORTS IN PARTICULAR), terrible service

If you are a home remodeler or builder, this software is most like going to save you time and money if you use it the way it was built to be used.

Pros

The scheduling module has helped us make sure that we keep to the projects timeline and at the end compare how we did to what our baseline was at the start of the project. Our clients really like the ability to have a project management tool that allows them to communicate, see overview of the financials, make selections, approve change orders, see pictures, access project files and have a repository for messages in one place. The mobile app is a huge benefit to us because we can update the schedule in the field, see what tasks are due to be completed while at the job site and look at a file when out of the office.

Cons

Would like the ability to know when we have overbooked an employee or sub for the day when preparing and updating the schedule when running multiple projects.

### "Top shelf!"

Co-Construct saves me hours off my work week every week. This is important to me because I'm running a business and raising four kids. Time is super important to me right now and Co-Construct allows me to stay highly organized and to get home to my kids at a decent time every night, even earlier than I could before I started using Co-Construct. The ability to share photos and ideas with customers and trade partners and keep it all organized in one spot versus having to sort through multiple emails is a life saver!

Pros

I love the seamless communication I can have with my customers and my trade partners! Co-Construct makes my job easier and saves me hours every week by organizing my work life through their program and the mobile app makes my job even easier by being able to communicate with my team on the go. Spend the money, it's worth it if you value your time! They also have an awesome support team and they are always quick to answer any of our questions. Overall top shelf operation!

Cons

No major cons at this time and I've been using the program for five years.

### "Information where you need it, when you want it."

It's work very well for me. I had been using Shared Dropbox folders with my team, that worked but seem inefficient. At first I didn't like the Scheduling side but it has improved greatly, I'm not missing MS Project anymore. Overall I give it a big thumbs up.

Pros

I like having all the job information accessible anywhere - on iPad, Phone or Computer. That my subcontractors have access to prints, specs and selections. The program is working great for Change Orders, I like that subs and suppliers can be tied into changes. I use the Daily Log feature not daily but a few times a week on each job - Our homeowners love it.

Cons

I wish there was a way to overlay changes on the print, like layers. Entering in selections is time consuming and slow - I'm hoping that is a work in progress.

Reason for choosing Buildertrend

I went to the Builders Show and talked to a few different groups. At the time Builder Trend had what I was looking for and the pricing seemed fair. I talked our owners into letting me try it.

### "What a Find!"

CoConstruct centralizes so many of our business practices. Because of that we are a more efficient company. Our clients receive better service because CoConstruct offers structure to how we handle decisions, follow up items, scheduling and money. The implementation process is next to none in terms of undivided attention and assistance. One of the biggest issues I have found with software companies are their support services. You find a software, you get excited about it, you sign up and then you're left to figure it all out yourself. Not CoConstruct. It is truly incredibly the level of service and care that is provided which is no additional cost for on boarding. You are assigned an implementation coach who guides you through the learning process, data implementation, company branding, etc. And even when you have your arms around the software and feel you do not need any more coaching sessions, there is always an inevitable question you need to run by someone and that's where the support team comes into play. Call or email and a helpful resource of knowledge at your fingertips through the Help Center as well. CoConstruct sets the standard for customer service at an ultimate high.

Pros

The features are all highly integrative which is the ultimate selling point for CoConstruct. Before CoConstruct we were using four different softwares to accomplish all of what CoConstruct handles - estimating, budgeting, purchase orders, change orders, specs and selections, job log, to-do items, etc. The single point entry system hones in on efficiency and reduction of errors.

Cons

We are primarily open book and CoConstruct handles this relatively well. There are a couple nuisances in regards to budgeting along with the integration of Quickbooks that I feel could be improved. However it is minor enough to have a workaround that isn't too timely or error prone.

### "BUILDERTREND IS WORTH IT!"

Currently, I am working with our coach to refine the lead opportunities to suit my company's needs. The program is flexible in the sense that it can be modified to fit the company's structure. The coaches are well educated and very happy to accommodate the changes. They seem to encourage the feedback to make the product better.

Pros

The application enables our business to organize all aspects of construction and it has an easy interface with staff, vendors, and clients. Our business uses it as a selling point for clients because one of their questions is, "How can I communicate with..." Through BUILDERTREND the client can watch the progress of their project, communicate with staff, and pay invoices. Our staff uses it as a tool to organize, record, and schedule proposals and jobs, and much, much more.

Cons

At times the time clock does not function with the mobile application. It may be the signal or program malfunctions. Also, if I have made several entries over a period of hours it tends to freeze up.

Overall we are very happy and excited to see where our business goes from here. Having all of data in one place and being able to have unlimited storage is a huge benefit. It also allows leadership to see in real time the status of all jobs...that is once your team accepts the responsibility to enter the data. BT itself has unlimited potential, it is up to the end user to put the data in it so it can be utilized properly.

Pros

It was really intuitive to use...I used the analogy to our team that "if you can order a pizza on-line, you can use Buildertrend". The site is laid out in the order you would use it i.e. starts with a lead, goes through the proposal, turns into a job, and then bills the job. The best part of this software is the support you get to make sure you are getting what you paid for, you get assigned a personal coach who becomes familiar with your business and takes the time to understand how you are using BT and suggest ways to make it work better for you. If you call and your coach isn't available anyone who answers the phone is great.

Cons

Because it is a cloud based system, the desktop version only works on WiFi which isn't an issue most times because the App will work off of cellular or WiFi. The biggest issue with this is when you are travelling by air and want to get some work done, you can't unless you subscribe to the airlines WiFi which can get pricey if you travel a lot. Another thing is that because it is a live stream, there are no do-overs, no Un-Do function so make sure you are deliberate in your key strokes.

pricing and reviews. BT prices on users and not amount of jobs which was more practical for our company.

### "A Must for Construction Project Management"

Overall experience has been great. I have to say that every time I call into Tech Support, the tech who answers has always been able to solve my issue or answer my question without passing me to someone else. Rare in this software-driven world of foreign tech support/passing down the line.

Pros

Our clients, trades and entire team have ONE site, both computer and mobile, to visit to access all of the necessary information, specifications, budgets, jobs schedules, etc.

Cons

I need additional estimating integration with my estimating software and currently have to manually enter my estimates vs. pushing takeoff data real-time directly into my estimates. Hopefully that will come with time!

My overall experience has been very positive. I love that I can be at a job site and pull up necessary information immediately. I can also refer a sub to the same place so their questions can be answered as well. We are trying to encourage owners to utilize it more, but only a few are taking advantage.

Pros

At the present time we use BT mainly for scheduling our jobs and giving us a central location to keep all documentation for the job. In these two areas, we use the program extensively. I have just begun using it to submit bid requests and am becoming more proficient with this. I feel like BT is very powerful and I have only touched the tip of its capabilities. With each new job we begin I try to expand our usage more fully. Your online help, live chats and training videos are EXCELLENT!! My coach has been extremely helpful and I have gained much knowledge from my personal appointments with him.

Cons

I don't believe there is anything I like the least. Sometimes the layers necessary to upload and access documentation is a bit tedious, but I am familiar with this. For our subs or other users it appears to be challenging for them.

Pros

The customer service and dashboard resource articles and videos are extremely helpful. CoConstruct spent a lot of time and effort making sure customers had what they needed to use and understand how to use the software. We just left CoCamp and wow...... CoCamp was very helpful and needed because switching over to new software is a big deal, especially when you got systems in place that took awhile to setup. CoConstruct has most of the features we expect and they are always listening to what is needed.

Cons

We would like little more customization on trade partner naming/grouping, minor terminology customization, po options etc. However, we are really just beginning to use this feature loaded software so its a journey we are excited about.
