### "Reliable, All in One HR and ERP Platform"

January 30, 2026

5.0

The overall experience is dependable and straightforward. Regular users can quickly find what they need, whether that is checking pay details, updating tax documents, or submitting time off. Transactions process quickly and payroll accuracy is consistent, which builds trust in the system. For administrators, the automation and reporting tools reduce manual work and provide better visibility across the workforce. When properly configured, it can grow from a solid HR platform into a broader operational system that supports both people and financial data in one unified environment.

Pros

What stands out most is how everything is centralized in one place. Core HR tasks like payroll, time off requests, benefits, tax forms, and career information are all accessible without jumping between different systems. The interface is clean and easy to navigate, so routine actions take very little effort. Real time reporting and analytics make it easier for leaders to make informed decisions, and the built in workflows and role based permissions help keep processes consistent and compliant. It also connects well with other business tools, and with additional configuration it can expand beyond HR into a full ERP and financial platform. Overall, it removes a lot of friction from day to day work.

Cons

Some of the more advanced functionality is not fully available out of the box and requires upgrades or extra configuration to unlock its full potential. For larger or more complex organizations, the initial setup and customization can take time and careful planning before the system feels fully optimized.

### "Workday HCM Makes Everything Better and Continues to be a Game Changer"

January 30, 2026

5.0

Workday has really grown on me and continues to evolve and get better. I do not see any other platforms out there (Oracle HCM, SuccessFactors, etc) that perform like Workday does or are investing and taking the strides that Workday is currently taking. I see Workday as "best in class". Is it perfect - no, but my experience continues to get better with each release.

Pros

Having previous experience at companies that utilized multiple systems integrated together where we had to manage multiple integration error logs and such I really love that Workday HCM is a truly "core" product that brings all the modules HR, Onboarding, Payroll, Benefits, etc. together into a single system. Also, like that there is a reporting component built into the product so that as we configure new features we can also report on them. Also, it is beneficial in that it is translated/translatable so it can be used globally and also has a mobile interface so users can utilize it via a mobile device.

Cons

During the early stages of Workday I was not sure I was going to like it as coming from multiple platforms that was familiar with to a way more robust single platform was a learning curve and initially thought that Workday was very vanilla in that certain basic things did not seem configurable, but over the past few years Workday has become 2nd nature as have become more familiar with the product and the Workday Product team has continued to listed to customers on Workday Community and enhance the product to make it better.

### "Powerful, flexible and user friendly for Payroll"

February 2, 2026

5.0

Workday has been an excellent solution for our payroll processing. The interface is intuitive and user friendly, so it’s easy to navigate even for less technical users. What I appreciate most is the flexibility and level of customization—reports, workflows, and fields can be tailored to match our specific payroll processes and policies. Once configured, payroll runs are smooth, accurate, and consistent, and the system makes it simple to track changes and audit activity. Overall, Workday has streamlined our payroll operations and given us much better visibility and control.

Pros

Very user-friendly interface that’s easy to learn and navigate. Highly flexible and customizable to match our specific payroll processes. Streamlines payroll processing and reduces manual work and errors. Strong reporting capabilities with configurable reports and dashboards.

Cons

Workday is so highly customizable that it can become complex quickly, and configuring or changing certain workflows often requires more time and expertise than expected

### "One Platform. Total Control."

December 24, 2025

5.0

Workday offers a wide range of features that can’t realistically be learned all at once; instead, they’re best understood progressively as your career evolves, which has been true in my case. I began my journey as a Customer Support Advocate (CSA) and was promoted through several roles, eventually reaching my current position as Supervisor of Integration Specialists. In my current role as a team manager, I now have access to and control over many advanced features that were not available to me before. I’ve learned how to create new requisitions as a hiring manager and track external applicants throughout the recruitment process. One experience I’m particularly proud of is helping one of our mutual customers build a full Workday integration for their business using my company’s public APIs. This end-to-end integration automated key daily operations such as employee payroll and data reporting. The project was especially exciting because my familiarity with Workday’s features allowed me to effectively advise on automation and accurately align data points between platforms.

Pros

I first became familiar with Workday in 2019 when I joined my current employer. I quickly learned how powerful the platform is and how easily it allows me to access and track my personal employment information. I especially appreciate being able to view my own and my direct reports’ absence balances, vacation plans, compensation details and employment history, among many other features. The Search option makes things even simpler. Whenever I’m unsure how to navigate to a specific section, it takes me there instantly.

Cons

Learning Workday requires patience and curiosity, as it offers far more functionality than you might initially expect. At first, I faced some challenges with navigation, but once I understood how the different sections are connected, it became much easier to move through the system and explore its features. I believe there are still areas I haven’t had the opportunity to explore yet, but overall, I appreciate how Workday keeps pace with evolving business needs and adapts to dynamic changes within the industry.

### "The tool is great! The company needs to reevaluate their priorities."

November 5, 2025

4.0

I've loved the tool itself. The company is quite rigid with subscription agreements which can be challenging when organizational changes are bound to happen within a 3-7 year period. When I first started working with them, they really cared about their employees and customers and it showed in everything they did. Now, under new leadership it's clear that their priorities have changed and not for the better.

Pros

I love how customizable everything is. We can build everything that our organization needs to track for compliance, document management, HR Management, Payroll Management, Learning and Talent.

Cons

I would like additional options for communicating with our end users. The UI is the top priority for my team and while Workday is certainly improving on this, I think there's a lot more that can be done in ESS and MSS as well utilizing AI more effectively across the platform.

### "Platform Manager Preference"

January 30, 2026

5.0

There isn't a system that I could imaging supporting and advocating for in our organization. I spent 20+ years in HR sometimes with 20+ systems. Now, with Workday, we may have a few others outside of Workday, but we can keep the number reasonable, manageable and when needed - talk directly to Workday on enhancements.

Pros

It covers everything we need. And what it doesn't cover, we can connect easily to another solution.

Cons

There are a lot of add-ons that you have to have to make it all work sometimes. This can be prohibitive of keeping a solution all in one place without spending significantly more than anticipated.

### "Workday HCM - always building and expanding to fit our needs"

November 10, 2025

5.0

I've been using Workday HCM since 2018 as an Admin in all the HCM modules. Over this time, I have seen Workday expand, iterate and improve, and continuously innovate their platform to keep it the forerunner in the HRIS space. This not only challenges me to become a better Admin, but also provide the best solution for our business needs. I think this innovation is how Workday has stayed a top/leading solutions over the years.

Pros

Workday HCM is both infinitely customizable but also within my control as an Admin. Unlike other systems I've used, I can truly make our Workday tenant what I want and what the business needs. This allows us to solve our unique business needs while not having to purchase a highly customized system that is too hard or expensive to maintain. I also love that all of our employee data, benefits, time off, payroll, etc., is all within the one system. This helps create a seamless flow of our HR data to the downstream functions that need it.

Cons

Sometimes it is hard to know the "art of the possible" just based on your implementation. I know a lot of customers will go live with a basic setup and it can be hard to know what to do next.

### "Powerful and Supportive, With a Learning Curve"

August 15, 2025

4.0

I’m hooked. Workday keeps me curious and growing, and I can see myself staying in my HRIS career for a long time—or even working at Workday one day. The combination of capability and support has made the journey both challenging and genuinely rewarding.

Pros

The Ask‑an‑Expert service has been a game‑changer. They don’t just set things up for you—they show you how to do it yourself. That shifted my mindset from “Can Workday do XYZ?” to “What do I need Workday to do?” The learning investment up front increases value in reusable, scalable setups. I haven't noticed many bugs and issues. If there are, it's because I missed something in the setup.

Cons

The same flexibility that makes Workday so powerful also makes it complex. There’s a real learning curve, and it takes time and patience to understand how pieces fit together. The payoff is worth it, but you should plan for that ramp‑up.

### "Powerful When Done Right: My Experience with Workday HCM"

August 13, 2025

5.0

Workday HCM stands out as a powerful and modern solution for HR operations. Its intuitive design and strategic capabilities make it a favorite when implemented thoughtfully. That said, its complexity can create friction—especially when technical constraints aren’t clearly understood by end users. Still, with the right support, it’s a game-changer. I genuinely enjoy working with it and proudly consider myself a Workday fangirl!

Pros

Workday HCM is intuitive and forward-thinking. When well-built and backed by a strong HRIS team, it transforms organizational efficiency and empowers strategic HR operations.

Cons

Workday HCM can feel clunky when poorly built, and its technical limitations—while logical—often frustrate HRIS teams due to end-user misunderstandings

### "5stars for Workday"

February 18, 2026

5.0

I love using Workday. Easy user experience. You can track your time, plan vacation days with knowing what your PTO balance will be for the time you are requesting. Also, it makes your yearend reviews so much easier.

Pros

I like using Workday because of the ease of use from the app. It makes reporting my time at the end of the week so much easier than in the past that payroll is never delayed.

Cons

Sometimes when signing back into the app I may experience some bugs or issues. But honestly that may just be my cell phone service.

### "Enterprise Management System Built for and with the Workday Customer in mind"

January 30, 2026

5.0

Workday has been a great company to partner with. Customer Support is excellent and the community and partnership that exists between different Workday customers is extremely helpful.

Pros

### "Easy to use system"

March 30, 2026

5.0

Overall, my experience with Workday HCM has been positive. It’s a reliable and user-friendly system that makes it easier to manage everyday HR tasks. While there are a few areas that could be more streamlined, it generally helps improve efficiency and keeps everything organized in one place.

Pros

I like how easy Workday HCM is to use and navigate. Everything is in one place, which makes managing HR tasks much more convenient. The self-service features and real-time information also help save time and make day-to-day tasks more efficient.

Cons

Sometimes it can be a little difficult to find specific features, especially if you don’t use them often. Certain processes also feel more complicated than they need to be, and reporting can take some time to get used to.

### "Workday HCM"

January 30, 2026

5.0

Workday has simplified our technology footprint at Loop. Previously we had several platforms operating in silos. Now we are fully integrated.

Pros

Ease of use, ability to configure to business needs, scalable, efficient, uptime. We use both HCM and Financials, so it is very valuable to have both under the same roof.

Cons

For smaller businesses with less business needs, it would be great to have a "lite" version with less rules.

### "Reliable for payroll and benefits"

December 22, 2025

4.0

It works fine for the basics (getting paid and taking leave), but it isn't "delightful" to use. It feels very corporate and rigid. I can get my work done, though.

Pros

It puts everything in one place. I like that I can check my payslip, update my direct deposit, and request time off all in the same app. The mobile app is very decent for quick tasks.

Cons

The user interface feels "clunky" and requires too many clicks to get anywhere. Simple tasks, like finding my tax documents or navigating the Learning module, often feel buried under multiple sub-menus. The recruiting interface for internal applications is also very rigid

### "Workday works hard for you and your business"

December 15, 2025

5.0

Overall my experience with Workday has been very positive. It's intuitive and the portals are designed to allow easy self-service. Also, the dashboard is very helpful.

Pros

Workday is a software suite that is unlike any other I have experienced before. It's an all-in-one application that centralizes so many business needs such as internal opportunities and positions, employee referrals, and additional company information.

Cons

Workday has so many features and functions, possibly too many. Sometimes the website/app can be overwhelming and difficult to navigate with so much content.

### "Go Workday and you'll never look back!"

November 5, 2025

5.0

I started with a Workday implementation back in 2013 and never looked back. The way Workday communicates, rolls out enhancements, and supports its users makes it easy to succeed with the platform. They genuinely listen to their customers, and seeing feedback turn into real improvements is both exciting and rewarding.

Pros

Leveraging both Workday Community and the Success Plan assistance makes analyzing bugs, fixes, and enhancements far more efficient and insightful. The platform’s intuitive interface makes it easy to support any area within Workday, since its foundation remains consistent across modules—business processes share the same core structure, objects, and instances. Everything is interconnected, which allows for a truly seamless experience when navigating and supporting the system.

Cons

There is not much I don't like about it to be totally honest. If I had to say one thing as the least would be the Benefits platform especially with reporting.

### "Workday Review"

December 10, 2025

5.0

My overall experience with Workday has been really great. I have had the best work experience, from managing my personal details, contracts, leave days and any query related to HR. Workday makes all this easy and smooth to manage and with the use of AI, it makes everything efficient and makes the team more efficient in what they do. I love using Workday and will continue using it

Pros

What I love the most about Workday is that it’s really easy to use and is user friendly. Workday makes life easier when it comes to time off and leave days. Everything is automated and it’s easy to request for leave days and check how many leave days you’re left with. It also makes it easy to manage your details and contracts. In a nutshell, Workday gives the best employee experience

### "Public Safety/Law Enforcement Beware"

May 26, 2025

2.0

Workday HCM has significant incompatibilities with the public safety/law enforcement world. Transitioning to Workday has genuinely slowed our internal processes. For a more standard 9-5/40-hour work week field, it is quite possible that Workday fully meets the HCM needs with ease. That has simply not been the case for us.

Pros

Generally speaking, Workday HCM processes are fairly straightforward. Processes are logically set up -- the user is able to use the search function with what they need to accomplish, and can find what they're looking for with minimal effort/training.

Cons

Workday has limited capabilities for the public safety/law enforcement field. Firstly, personnel-related processes can only be completed one at a time. For example: if I have an employee evaluation pending for someone, I cannot simultaneously request to change their supervisor, move their "cost center," or request a merit change. Depending on the industry you work in, this may not matter. For public safety -- where change is the one true constant -- this makes life difficult. We have constant overlapping status changes that cannot be reflected as one task is at the mercy of another task being completed (which in itself is at the mercy of the entire chain of command "approving" any single status change). For payroll, Workday is not immediately compatible with a 24-hour, 365-day workplace (as is the case with public safety). We have had a buildout to patch with our scheduling software that has been in progress for literal years, and it is still being worked on -- there seems to be a new issue every pay period. As far as recruiting goes, applicants needing to create a new account for every company they apply to is both messy and inconvenient.

Pros

### "Useful and Resourceful "

March 18, 2026

Overall experience is fairly great. I would rate it from four out of five as applications can become more developed. Wasn't able to find a Salesforce integration unless I missed it but would be nice to integrate with such enterprise tools as well as CRM integrations for full panel summary of everything like Tableau does.

Pros

I really enjoy Workdays user interface. It makes the process for payroll schedule submissions and career development reviews easier and well organized. The layout is perfect for reporting and HR management.

Cons

They don't have a dark mode option, everything is so bright on screen by default. Need more user options for employees to co create task list rather permissions.
