### "Absorb: an extension of our own team!"

August 15, 2025

5.0

As our L&D is incredibly small (2 of us), we love that Absorb feels like an extension of our own team, rather than an external company. It's very collaborative, communication feels genuine natural, and I'm definitely a big advocate for their product portfolio! We've subscribed to a lot of their add-ons and Absorb Create AI allows us to save both time and money by creating content in-house, rather than outsource; over 400k saved in 2024 through doing so! And as mentioned before, they're constantly updating and adding new features, so you can now add AI text to speech with different options and pauses, and generate quiz questions based on your content. Their CSM and Account Managers are always knowledgeable about upcoming rollouts, products and how this may fit into our training plans, with very reasonable costs that we can actively track ROI on. From an admin perspective, it's incredibly intuitive to use and difficult to break. They do have their own Knowledge Base and Academy where they have brilliant quality walkthroughs and elearning to help you get the most out of the LMS and add-on tools, but there's not much you can't pick up in 10 minutes and pressing buttons. I'm honestly a big fan and love attending their online workshops and Summit with guest speakers and chances to share best practice and discuss challenges and solutions across the industry.

Pros

Absorb have a great culture to them, which initially drew us to them and set them aside from the more "hard-sell" options. We were able to demo and test sandbox modes and the different add-ons before purchase, ensuring we were confident that it would meet our requirements. Not only that, but since implementation, Absorb are constantly reflecting on their options and updating and upgrading all the time, with outstanding levels of communication; my favourite is their "Ideas Portal" where customers can suggest changes or updates to their platform, and you can chat with product and tech specialists and put forward a case, where they'll then let you know if it's a likely candidate for their roadmap. I've personally suggested several changes that they've rolled out, so it feels great to know they're listening, making improvements and also making the platform better for other customers too.

Cons

Almost nothing! It's incredibly intuitive and I love the navigation of it. I would like to see some updates to their Global Resource options (non-courses like links and PDFs) to include images to help improve engagement, but honestly this is the only major improvement I can think of.

Absorb were a new and upcoming company and we loved their innovative and friendly feel. I'm not a fan of the "hard sell", so being able to demo and trial in sandbox modes before making a decision definitely helped a lot.

### "Covered California gives Absorb an A+"

March 3, 2026

5.0

It's been great! I really appreciate the support of our CSM and Account Manager. They've been great at helping us refine our LMS use.

Pros

is extremely intuitive for both admin users and our end-users. I appreciate all the training available in the Absorb Academy and have found the articles/white papers, and reports extremely helpful.

Cons

There's no way for us to archive records we no longer need (like a user enrolled in a course they no longer need to take, but we still have to show they were enrolled for compliance), and we need more insights into which admin users are making enrollments. We also need to be able to see deleted enrollments.

### "Not Great Until Issues Get Fixed Too Simplistic"

November 13, 2025

2.0

Frustrating as can be. Not nearly enough functionality. I should be able to at least upload existing files without distortion. Every step costs me extra time. This program will not do what I need it to do, unlike advertised.

Pros

Easy to use and intuitive menus. Keeping trainings organized and assigning them is a breeze. Our staff can now complete most trainings on a tablet. Attendance is also automatically tracked.

Cons

Doesn't work well with video PowerPoints or imported PPT's. All of my photos turned sideways and distorted. Also, all videos are removed and unplayable when uploaded as part of an existing PPT. The only option for me is to recreate all of my existing work inside Absorb, costing me hundreds of hours for my whole library.

### "Absorb, Growing Together"

September 12, 2025

4.0

Absorb has been a great partner since implementation. The customer support has been good and it's been very exciting to see the tool grow and get the opportunity to be a part of trying new options as they release. For a company that was new to learning, they have helped me create an exciting benefit for employees and be able to manage with only a small team for admin tasks, compliance, career development and content creation.

Pros

My company has not had an L&D team for very long and have adapted to Absorb as the new learning tool really well due to its ease of use with 1200 unique logins the first month. Admins have not had an issue getting on board either and can easily manage running reports and making assignments.

Cons

I have been very happy with the tool, but would love to see options for data in the core tool be open to more options. There are grids that allow for many ad hoc reports, but sometimes the fields included are not what I need causing me to have to run multiple reports and merge them together. I also would like to see more options available for import tools similar to the enrollment upload and user upload. For example, I would like to be able to import courses from Excel alongside the enrollments tool for historical enrollments or manual conversions from other systems.

Reason for choosing Absorb LMS

Docebo had good functionality, but was too pricey and the admin portion was disorganized and difficult. Moodle did not include the critical pieces we were looking for in a full LMS and required more manual work than my small team could handle to make things like integrations occur in the way we wanted.

### "Great Corporate LMS (Learning Management System)"

September 25, 2025

5.0

We've had a great experience with ; we reviewed over 300 potential systems to narrow it down to 3 overall, and Absorb was the one that had all of the features we needed while still being user-friendly.

Pros

Ease of use for the learners and for administrators, while not sacrificing advanced features. Ability to use API/SSO.

Cons

With it being a large organization there are a lot of feature requests, so if you need a new feature it may take a while for it to be implemented, if it's approved. They do well with making sure requests align with their strategy, but their is a downside to that for the user.

### "Even better than expected"

March 14, 2026

5.0

All interactions I've had with\[sensitive content hidden\] have been phenomenal. We were so supported in every step from contract negotiations to project management, implementation, and testing. I'm so grateful for this system and it's going to support our company very well as we grow.

Pros

Every single thing that was discussed during the initial conversations around this project have been accurate. The ease of use, capability, functionality, reporting, and scalability were not over-exaggerated.

Cons

That I didn't get this system sooner! The only actual con I have is not with Absorb, but with MedTrainer. Their license structure doesn't allow us to re-use licenses from past users, which is hard with our industry's turnover.

### "Highly recommend Absorb"

September 22, 2025

5.0

Would highly recommend Absorb for all levels of organizations. The built in content and content creator are such a value add. Absorb has done a great job of not making you pay for something you won't use.

Pros

is a user-friendly learning management system that offers several advantages for organizations looking to streamline training and development. The platform is clean and easy to navigate, making it accessible for both administrators and learners. Absorb allows for tailored learning experiences with flexible course structures and automated enrollments. Most importantly, it streamlines administrative tasks like course assignments, reminders, and certifications.

Cons

Biggest drawback is that it's too customizable. It can be a learning curve to get setup and use. The implementation team was helpful but it's taken us several months to get it to where we want it to be through trial and error.

### "A strong but imperfect LMS"

March 7, 2025

4.0

It is a robust LMS, the specialists are helpful, but it is missing some options that seem obvious from a user perspective. The "Ideas" portal for clients seems fairly. neglected.

Pros

The customizable and responsive UI, snappy reporting engine, and (mostly) intuitive admin interface.

Cons

### "Strong LMS"

March 21, 2024

5.0

Overall we're most pleased with the admin functionality. The learner view displays nicely and is intuitive. We've had great customer service and always get immediate responses to questions and issues. The technical experts are true experts and have been able to help explain and resolve our issues.

Pros

Absorb has 3 very strong features: 1. Reporting is fast and can be done across different areas of the platform. 2. Email management allows easy updates or maintenance of default and custom emails. 3. Auto-assignment functionality works very well with key fields.

Cons

We're using Analyze dashboards which are very difficult to troubleshoot with various filter issues. For example, we have a dashboard with 5 filters and if there are no users that fall within the first filter, then the dashboard ignores that filter. This then allows incorrect data to appear for admins.

### "Easy to use LMS platform with the right amount of features for our needs"

April 28, 2022

4.0

We were looking for an LMS platform for internal training that could be expanded to customer training afterwards. The sales engagement with has been a great experience, providing us with the tools and knowledge to properly evaluate the platform (including a trial portal which we could test with our own content). Onboarding was well structured, with a clear plan of tasks to accomplish both on our side and on the vendor side. Absorb provides a series of well-made self-training modules to go through, which complemented the training provided by the implementation project manager. Compared to other LMS, the platform itself is easy to use while providing a good breadth of features for our use. It's a mature product, with a solid backend. We did not experience any performance issues or security concerns. Look and feel customization is relatively basic. The interface is also quite rigid: for example, thumbnails or banners must have precise dimensions, otherwise images are stretched. Because of that it requires a lot of efforts, trials and errors, if you want to have a visual experience distinct from the Absorb default. The main shortcoming we experienced is that some common workflows could be streamlined. They can involve a lot of clicks, which is irritating when you're repeating the same workflow several times in a row. Keyboard shortcuts could be introduced to facilitate some operations, which would alleviate this.

Pros

Easy to use Solid onboarding training for admins Provides content hosting Supports SCORM and xAPI (Tin Can) Supports Instructor Led Classes Zoom integration BambooHR integration Salesforce integration Overall mature platform Great customer support

Cons

Look and feel customization lacks flexibility Some workflows could be streamlined, especially for course management No actual course authoring functionality: users need to import learning objects created with external tools, such as 3rd party eLearning authoring tools. This is fine for our needs, but it would add flexibility if there was at least some content authoring functionalities.

Reason for choosing Absorb LMS

The intersection of ease of use, features, customer service and costs of Absorb was superior to all other alternatives we considered. Some were superior in terms features but were too expensive for our needs. Some were less expensive but the customer service was a concern. Some were not as user-friendly. It all came down to that equation: ease of use + features + services + costs. hit the sweet spot for us.

### "Our experience with Absorb"

January 18, 2024

5.0

Every Absorb employee we have dealt with has been knowledgeable. and responsive with effective solutions for issues we needed guidance about. They make sure the issue is resolved.

Pros

The Absorb products have a lot of capability and can be configured appropriately for our particular business needs. Absorb implementation was accomplished in less time that some other employee-based systems we have in place. The Absorb platform has never had a performance issue that affected our business.

Cons

While there is plenty of report capability designed into the product it would be nice to have the capability expanded to allow for more ad hoc reporting.

Our overall experience with Absorb has been excellent. It’s easy for our team to use, reliable, and has made managing training a smooth process. The platform looks great, works the way we need it to, and has genuinely improved how we deliver and track our training. We’ve been really happy with it.

Pros

It’s easy to use, clean, and makes building and assigning training simple. Reporting is straightforward, and our team has an easier time navigating and completing courses compared to other platforms.

March 11, 2025

5.0

We have had a great experience with Absorb. It took us nearly a year to get things fully configured but we were assitted greatly by the Absorb on-boarding and support team. They also helped us with the integration of the Absorb system into our own proprietary software.

Pros

Absorb is a very rich software system that allows for multiple configurations. Courses are easy to setup and administer. For us, however, we were able to separate our global network of trainers into each one’s separate ’department’ which allows them to administer their own courses and registrations in their own account. This makes for effective course delivery and reporting.

Cons

What we liked least is actually Absorb’s strength - there are so many ways to configure courses and curriculum that sometimes it gets a little confusing.

Pros

On top of being a good learning system, the IT infrastructure is well thought out. It is very customizable and can cater to whatever learning needs you have, or however you want to structure the learning environment.

Cons

### "No Regrets"

November 2, 2022

Absorb has allowed us to provide customized learning experiences for our employees, and we were also able to incorporate additional professional development course libraries to expand learning opportunities.

Pros

We chose Absorb as our first Learning Management System. The design isn’t too complex, which made it easier to transition previously manual instruction to online learning. It is intuitive enough that we can allow non-trainers to create content without needing to be system experts. While we were not initially satisfied with Absorb’s customer service, within the last year (2022), they have become extremely responsive to all requests for assistance and also invite feedback and recommendations for improvement.

Cons

Sometimes the system design has what seems like obvious gaps or things that don’t work as smoothly as we would prefer for learning management. We would also like to see much more effort in the user experience to allow better filtering and course organization.
