We have been with ThunderTix for over a decade and we wouldn't think of even considering going anywhere else. From the beginning ThunderTix always gave us the best return on investment. The system is so easy to use from both the managing side as well as from the consumer side. Their customer service is "top notch"! In the unlikely event you encounter issues with the system, they are extremely quick to respond to emails and calls. Our theatre would highly recommend their service to anyone.

Pros

Customer Service. Lost costs. Openly request ideas from their clients to improve the system. Extremely easy to use.

### "ThunderTix is a MUST have"

Adding ThunderTix to our theater program has been a game changer. In our first event series, we hit our maximum tickets sales ever. We also received amazing feedback from our guests about how easy it was to reserve tickets, not having to arrive super early to save seats, and that check-in at the front lobby was very smooth. I like the versatility of being able to scan tickets with your phone/devices or just have a laptop stationed in the lobby asking for the guests name. Either way is very straight-forward and allows you to check-in guests and get them to their seats much faster (or the concession stand!!)

Pros

My two favorite things about ThunderTix is the ease of setting up an event and venue map. And the reporting features! Its very customizable and I can see just the data that I need during an event and even more during our post-event reporting.

Cons

There is one screen that auto-scrolls up every time the page loads which is a little frustrating to an admin...but the customer doesn't see this page so its a minor issue.

I had thundertix do event seating for my nutcracker ballet . You seriously can not talk to anyone if you have a problem . I had to take it off my website because so many people called me having trouble actually completing purchases . I asked thundertix to look into it and they kept saying that things were working out just fine . I have actual emails , voicemails and video footage of how it really didn't work . They also would not give me a refund for the time I actually couldn't use it . I would be happy to show anyone this .

### "ThunderTix 1000%"

Being new to ticketing myself ThunderTix is the first platform I have tried. Our theatre association previously used another platform and all I heard were horror stories and how they couldn't wait to move on to something else. A trusted associate in IT found ThunderTix for me and we made the switch. Working within the program has been crazy easy; I love it. We have several volunteers in our box office and they are all amazed at how easy it is to use.

I believe it was Wild Apricot but I am not positive. I did not use the program at all. It is my understanding that the system was not capable of keeping the tickets for a performance in one lump and that a specific number of tickets had to be assigned for our various pricing options (adult, child, senior, military, etc). This could cause the system to show that adult tickets were sold out yet there would still be child tickets available. Far from ideal and how we are set up.

### "Seamless ticket sales"

I have been using TT for about 4 years now with two different theatre companies. I've never had ANY issues... and when there are issues, more often than not, there's a fix or a feature update that addresses the issue in the not too distant future.

Pros

SUPER responsive to technical questions and tech support. The system just works. We used to have so many issues when launching a show. Now... we can launch a show and sell it out in an hour and have NO issues with overbooking or ticketing conflicts. Smooth as silk. And with the pricing structure as a finite amount per ticket sold, it's easily scaleable.

Cons

Uhm... it's not free. And now I have to add more characters to come in at the minimum.

Our organization has been selling tickets for nearly 18 years and during the first 17 we used software that was extremely affordable but didn't do everything we needed. When we moved to ThunderTix we undertook a greater expense it's true, but we also saw an accompanying increase in sales that we know has been largely fueled by our use of ThunderTix. To me it has been an expense that was worth the investment.

Pros

There are several positives. But for the me the best is the ease of use for the patron. It is simple and intuitive. We moved to ThunderTix at the start of our 2024 Season and saw a huge uptick in ticket sales. There were many factors in this improvement, but it has to be said that one contributor was certainly our move to ThunderTix which made our reservation process so much simpler for our patrons.

Cons

I wish I had the ability to obtain reports of an entire run of a production in a Performance Summary that compared each performance from one production in one document. That said, another great thing about ThunderTix is the ability to submit feature requests and they have always proven to be willing to accept requests to take a look at features that you request.

ThunderTix has been very easy to use and I really enjoy the reports you can pull out of there too. It keeps a lot of data for you and you can look at your customer base and see how many people have been coming to your shows, etc. We have been using it for about two years now and I really enjoy the way the database works. It helps make my life a lot easier.

Pros

ThunderTix has A LOT of flexibility about what you do or do not want to post on their site. It's very customizable depending on what your needs are. You can send pre-concert or post-concert emails as well as surveys.

Took me a little bit to learn how to use the menus.

Overall, working with ThunderTix was super easy, and I'm definitely planning on using it for future events. My Off-Broadway play, Witchland, ran for a few weeks, and I was able to manage the entire ticketing sales and process, and allocation, seamlessly.

ThunderTix made the daunting task of managing tickets for my stage production super easy. They helped me set up the site, and once up and running it was very easy to manage and navigate.

I love having the ability for customers who want to sign up on line with a credit card can do so. They can leave a message easily and I know when they get an email.

Pros

I like after you take a few minutes getting reacquainted (we only use it once a year from Dec- May) it is very easy to navigate. I would not consider myself techi, but you don't have to be.

Cons

I would like to have more access to a live agent. When we started using Thundertix in 2014, I was able to place a call and get someone right away. I do not have to wait long to get a reply now, but I am old school and like to talk to someone. I don't like a "ticket" being used for anything that is charged. ie. we have a golf tourn and i am using a "ticket" for golfers. I have tried to figure out how to not have this.

Reason for choosing ThunderTix

After looking at the flow of other products, I liked the flow of Thundertix. I looked at different venues to see who they used. I called and looked into those products but eventually settled on Thundertix and have been happy for 8 years. One thing I really appreciated was being notified by Thundertix that I could actually pay less since we only had one event a year and other wise did not use Thundertix every month.

### "Early user of Thundertix"

We have had a long relationship with Thundertix. We started using Thundertix before they had set up the fundraising/membership functions. We have always been able to figure out how to make something work, and Thundertix has always been there to add the functionality that we need.

Pros

We have used Thundertix for years. I like that Thundertix has improved the number and quality of the services it provides. They have been there for us every time we have had a problem.

Cons

During COVID we streamed some of our shows. We could not use Thundertix to sell the streaming tickets. That created a problem for our season ticket holders. Our season ticket holders wanted to use their Flexpass codes to purchase streaming tickets to the shows, and they could not.

Reason for choosing ThunderTix

Thundertix most closely matched the season ticketing set up that our patrons were used to. Using the Flexpass, our patrons could select their shows, performances, and seats like when we had manual tickets. So, we could convert to on-line ticketing with the least amount of stress for our patrons.

Thundertix has eliminated many of the issues that we were having with residents purchasing tickets. The process from announcing upcoming events to selling/purchasing tickets is easy for our staff and residents. The reports that we need to print are readily available and easy to understand.

Pros

ThunderTix is easy to use. Each month I am responsible for inputting our event tickets on line to over 19,000+ residents. This system allows me to get the information out to the residents ahead of each scheduled event and select a date and time for them to go on sale.

Cons

My only suggestion would to have a contact number for an emergency issue. The forum is great but if you need help immediately it would be nice to be able to contact a live person.

### "ThunderTix works for us."

We changed to ThunderTix in 2013 from another well-known ticketing service. The transition was very smooth and made our internal operations much easier. Reports are excellent for tracking sales and bookkeeping.

Pros

ThunderTix integrates well with our website and makes the ticket buying experience very easy for our patrons. Ticket map shows our semi-thrust venue to our patrons. They offer many options to customize the program for your use.

Cons

We have no negative comments. ThunderTix is always ahead of the curve in terms of adding improvements. The feature request board is very helpful.

We were looking for a flexible ticketing solution for our First Big Off-Broadway show, and Telecharge, Ticketmaster, Criterion, VenueTix, AudienceView and others WOULDN'T work with us for we were unknown at this level or they wanted a 3 year contract. I contacted ThunderTix and they were amazing. One of the employees called me from her car to respond to my questions. Awesome. The Customer Service here is like no other company I have worked with in years. Fast, informative and KIND, so incredibly wonderful. Any problem I had with not understanding elements of the software, they would get back quickly and teach me what I was not understanding. FANTASTIC. We had NO TECH glitches with the software, ticketing was amazing, the Seat Map they made was perfect, it all work unbelievably well, I cannot thank them enough for supporting us with such professionalism and kindness. Work with ThunderTix. Don't pay the big bucks for poor support and an attitude. The ThunderTix software and support team are exceptional.

Cons

Fonts could be a bit bigger and some menus could be easier to find, but other than that, all good. It worked without a glitch.

### "Great Value in a Ticketing Service"

It's a great service, and while pricing has gone up since we first started with Thundertix we still believe it is one of the best values for a full service ticketing solution

Pros

The fact that we can set up all of our shows and sell tickets easily both online and in person (point of service) makes it a great service. The software and show setup each year is just so easy to do. It takes very little time to get our new season set up to sell through Thundertix.

Cons

I really wish they had a way where we could sell our subscription packages online where our returning patrons could keep their same seats season after season without us having to place them all back into the seating charts manually, before ticket sales open up to the general public.

### "Thunder Tix use for Non-Profits"

Overall our experience with Thunder Tix has been very positive and I would recommend it to any business wanting flexible scheduling and ticketing.

Pros

When looking for a ticketing program for our small non-profit performing arts company we needed one that was uncomplicated to set up, user friendly for our patrons and affordable for our non-profit to use. One great feature since we only set up 2-3 events per year is that we can toggle between maintenance and reserved seating when not is use for a really reasonable monthly fee. Their customer service is excellent and very responsive and patient for every question I have had for them. The reports are also very comprehensive during and at the end of an event.

You are restricted to just a couple credit card processors.

We do limited events throughout the year. The customer base is spread across California, Nevada, Utah, Arizona, Colorado, and New Mexico. ThunderTix makes it possible for us to successfully execute our programs

### "The Best Online Ticketing Model"

When we selected ThunderTix they were the only online ticket service that we could find that did not charge a 'per ticket service fee' to our customers. That model was vital to our selection as we do not believe online ticketing should be cost a premium over walk-ups. We knew that ticket fees never come down at other online ticketing providers, with some now charging over 50% of the ticket face value as an additional fee (ex. $15/ticket + $8.15 service fee). ThunderTix remains an ever-improving system that we continue to believe is the right model for online ticketing. Our patrons want the cost of ticketing to be part of our theatre operation cost. We would love to see the company add CRM and e-mail marketing modules to the back-end to allow management of more than just our ticketing. Patron/donor/volunteer mgmt tools would be a plus for this product in the future to compete with other new CRM/ticketing solutions that are still adopting the per-ticket-service-fee model.

A lot has changed since 2011 -- In February 2014, ThunderTix rolled out a full CRM for patron management. It includes complete patron purchase history, donations management, robust filtering to report on multiple levels of customer data. All error messages that a patron might see during the purchase process have been modified, all order data saved on a declined transaction, and all fields with problems highlighted in red to make it very clear to the ticket buyer what needs to be completed and/or corrected. We moved over to the cloud in April of 2012 and since then have more than quadrupled speeds for page load time. ThunderTix is now in the 97th percentile of web-based software applications in terms of speed. This week, ThunderTix is going to be rolling out a direct email marketing tool that connects with MailChimp. Mailing lists are automatically updated with new subscribers direct from ThunderTix and emails to various lists can be directly emailed from within the ThunderTix login.

The level of customer service alone is why I've purchased and continued to use Thundertix and won't go anywhere else.

Pros

I like the ease of use and implementation into our system.

Cons

There were some features in past that needed improvement but the company does listen to it's clients and generally fixes things upon demand of it's customers. The only thing left for them to do is to have more options for virtual ticket sales and integration.

### "Great Ticketing Software"

Solid response from support when you need it, but it's reliable and easy to manage so rarely need support. I recently recommended to the ticketing team of another event I am part of the team at, and they were very happy with the solution and will be using at more events.

Pros

Does everything we need to manage ticket sales for a complex 4 day Beer, Food & Music festival, with camping and supplementary add-ons at a reasonable cost.

Cons

General UI experience isn't the best, but it's decent once you get used to it and evrything is there.

First class implementation assistance and incredibly swift to react to any problems or issues that arise

Pros

It was very easy to integrate into our current websites and customisable to our use. It was refreshing to find a developer who allowed the customers to suggest improvements and we have seen it become far more customer friendly as it has evolved over the past 4 year

Cons

At the very beginning we had to adapt our requirements to meet what they could offer but they soon made changes to the functionality and it has become better each subsequent year
