I used it for a few years. It was great for what I needed at the moment.

Pros

It was a really great starting software for what I needed for my gym. Support was excellent, price was fair, reviews were great.

Cons

Cost. It was ok at first then it got really expensive. The per CC charge is where the most expense was from.

This is year three for us and it's been great so far. Glad we found this app. Just makes business run smooth without and problems on the backend.

Pros

Helps our business stay organized, and it very easy for our clients to register and book an appointment.

Cons

It keeps going up on prices for yearly memberships. Every year the price has went up, definitely think it's worth it. But for loyal customer we should be locked in with a price.

### "Nothing like Mindbody"

I've enjoyed the product and learned a lot about it along the way. The new analytics dashboard is great and I like the ease of using the marketing platform for emails and texts.

Pros

Mindbody is the most powerful platform out there. Everything from your POS, CRM and marketing functions are all in one place. It's convenient and allows me to have all functions of the business in one place. I've looked at other platforms, but nothing compares.

Cons

The price. Mindbody is the most expensive software out there. As a small business it can be difficult to keep up.

Reason for choosing Mindbody

I purchased the business and Mindbody was already in place. I looked at cheaper alternatives, because Mindbody was becoming too expensive. I chose to stick with MB, because it had everything in one place and the time to switch everything over was too much.

Love the mind body team, the customer support is great, would appericiate more customizing and ease with the finiace and reporting part but othrewise i good experience.

Pros

i appericiate the custiner sypport, the ease of use! Schedule and managing appointments are also something easily adabtable and very straight forward. i like the new features of analytics to, the snapshot gives you a quick bird view.

Cons

I would like the ability to customize more pricing packages and dont like the restricitions we have with the limit of how may packages, would also love the marketing to be more advanced. as for the analytics would like for the dates to be customizable!

Overall MindBody has been a great system for our gym and scheduling and payment collection. It makes management easier!

Pros

The ability to schedule multiple staff members, and for them to have immediate access to the schedules. Ease of payroll and reports. Always able to get a hold of them for customer service needs.

Cons

Some limitations on being able to adjust some client info on the back end, makes you rely on the client to be able to navigate.

It's a great program, the support is good and the value is well worth it. The ability to manage employees and payments is perfect for what I need.

Pros

The ability to access my schedule from anywhere. It's nice to be able to look at my appointments from this week to next month.

Cons

For some reason, the schedule on the mobile app doesn't display properly when I'm accessing later at night (11pm/12am). Other than that, everything is great

I'd say the scheduling capabilities were fairly intuitive- moving classes from one schedule to the next, cancelling, rescheduling etc was great. The check out process was tedious, took forever, and editing patient and teacher info was clunky and inconsistent.

Pros

Creating schedules you can offer online for solo and group classes worked fairly well.

Cons

The checkout process was long and tedious and the loading screens between viewing customer profiles took forever.

I'm fairly happy with MB. With its long history in the business, I'm surprised at how many times I still have to call support to problem solve for me.

Pros

It's familiar to clients, since so many businesses use it. The Insights feature is also helpful to me.

Cons

When calling support, the hours of talking to level 1 reps who are not qualified to solve the problem, only to be escalated to someone who can solve it in 15 minutes.

Overall - a very solid software that works well, but is not as flexible as we were hoping that it would be.

Pros

Mindbody provides a solid CMS with easy to use customer scheduling and forms for capturing new customers with many features for any health and wellness business.

Cons

Customizing their forms was not an easy task, and our biggest roadblock with this software was obtaining lead attribution data.

a big company not interested in small business. fairly high priced for what it is. Poor customer service.

Pros

ability to take CC to hold appointments, clean look, quick real time online booking. not too many pay to play add ons.

Cons

COST ! many glitches, many server down (always on a busy day), hard to reach tech support. cancelling is the hardest thing to do. get ready to pay months just to cancel.

They refuse to honor basic contract law principles and are attempting to charge a void contract. Absolutely predatory behavior targeting vulnerable post-surgical patients.

Pros

NOTHING! The software is extremely difficult. They outsource everything and they aren't even versed in the type of wellness I do.

Cons

Mindbody targeted me for a sales call just 15 days after major surgery while I was on Schedule II opioids (oxycodone). I signed a contract 22 days post-surgery while still medically impaired. When I provided complete medical documentation proving I lacked capacity to contract, their representative "Bianca" (Case #05186350, Order #00452655) completely dismissed it and closed my case without legal review.

Initially very good and support was excellent, this has reduced over the years of using (we have used for 7years plus) and the sales support is now quite challenging sometimes, it is there but the knowledge of the support is poorer now. Tech support is still ok but often supported by too much blurb and difficult to identify.

Pros

It is a full spectrum booking and management system so everything in one place. The potential is good but the reality can be stressful for the business user.

Cons

Unfortunately it has quite a few cracks in its functionality especially on the client facing side, it can be complicated and confusing to use

Very good. Plenty of features that enhance the experience. Scheduling is very well done and convenient for business owners as well as employees.

Pros

Elaborate and detailed. Everything the company needs is available. Updating trainer schedules and booking people into their schedules is easily edited.

Cons

Mobile app and website are very different in their functionality. While they both can accomplish the same tasks, the method and easy of each is very different.

Overall it is smooth and functional. The grey interface is nice. But many clients get confused about how to link their mindbody account to their verified email, so i don't like that.

Pros

The scheduling system. You can easily replace teachers and assistant teachers. I like how functional it is.

Cons

I don't like that glitches occur. I don't like the sales reports. The interface is boring and technical, it is not intuitive to use. I don't like that when I retail a sale I can only do one client at a time.

My overall experience with Mindbody is great. Again, it is easy to use and teachable. I would definitely recommend this to another business owner in want for something new.

Pros

I like how easy the scheduling is. Mindbody allows me to run reports that shows how well my services are doing including client retention.

Cons

Something I find least likable is the glitches that Mindbody seems to have often. It can be frustrating when I'm checking a client out and it freezes or doesn't load the page right away.

Solid product, but I don't like how the price keeps going up, but if I can get back some past members and learn to use the features better, maybe I can offset that

Pros

I like having all client info and credit processing all under mindbody. I like having reports to look at each month as well.

Cons

I would like to know more about mindbody AI and see if it can help me engage past members. I have thousands of contacts that may be interested.

MBO is a 10! Customer support, rating software a 10. Has done many changes on their software system and contuine to better the brand.

Pros

MBO has a great customer service team always there to help. Doesn't matter what you need they find a way to help.

Cons

wait times but it's understanding busy with other fitness or spa companies. Would be great to have a better texting platform.

Overall, many good tools, a little difficult to navigate, difficult to pull client statistics, frequently not accurate, buggy.

Pros

Easy to schedule, has area for SOAP notes, easy checkout process, ability to create bundles and installment payments

Cons

Poor CRM tools, SOAP notes limited character fields - not nearly enough space! Also cannot download simple client contact lists.

It is a good software. It can use some more intuitive features. I feel like there is a lot of ways to accomplish one task - POS screen, checkout screen, etc. It would be nice to have one streamlined way. It makes training and learning easier.

Pros

I like that it is an easy software to operate from a business standpoint. I feel like on the business end it is really easy to learn. It is good at keeping track of all day to day business. The updates have been good and making things easier to check people out.

Cons

I don't like how the credit cards don't pull through. So if someone has a credit card on their Mindbody file, we can't use that at the business as a card on file when people book through the app because it doesn't pull the card information to their profile. Another I have heard from customers is how difficult it can be to book multiple people in at the same time.

Pros

Easy to use, helps with scheduling clients/classes, and reports are easily produced. Customer service has always been there to answer any questions regarding operating the Mindbody software.

Cons

I can't think of any cons at this time. My experience with Mindbody has only given me tools to make my job easier!

Fairly positive overall. Would be nice to have a designated account manager familiar with our setup in order to fix issues easier.

Pros

Our processes have been built around Mindbody's functionality and customer service is pretty responsive.

Cons

High transaction fees and UI updates are sparse and rarely feel like they positively contribute to experience. Some clunkiness in contracts/pricing option set up as well

My experience has been great with Mindbody. It is allowing my students to easily sign up for my business services as well as buy membership packages. Some clients also discover my business, through the platform itself. I also use Mindbody for marketing purposes -- I can send out emails regarding studio events and news to keep clients engaged and informed.

Pros

I love the ease of using the platform and the fact that I have everything in one place. The most recent feature -- contactless payments-- has been a game changer for our business. We are able to charge students who come into our studio using the business app from our phones. I also love that there is a marketing feature I can take advantage of to send out communications to our members, without having to pay for a separate service. Mindbody customer service has been excellent -- every time, I have an issue, they are quick to solve it for me and I don't have to wait on hold to reach an agent.

Cons

Mindbody takes a lot of fees for new clients that sign up using the platform. On top of merchant credit card fees and the monthly subscription fee, it really reduces my margins.

they began as a software company and are now a marketing platform, I feel these are two different things that serve different agendas

Pros

overall organization of software, tech support over the phone with screen sharing, variety of reports

Cons

lack of features that I would love to have which makes me do several things by hand or using a ridiculous workaround ex: course dates that vary and payment plans
