As a user the software offered many fields and options to complete required information and details set by our company's QMS policies and procedures. Cons This may be more of a fault of the internal training team that on-boarded new users, but the system's workflows and document/record creation is not instantly intuitive. Upon initial login, navigation within the software was not easy to understand, especially when it came to creating the different record types available and how that records establish a parent/child relationship with each other. Pros Trackwise has so many built in features to make it meet requirements and is extremely useful to track so many things. In such a large company being able to locate the records of what is happening is very useful. Cons I can’t think of too many things for what I like least. Possibly just the way it looks and flows is a little dated but it’s functionality outweighs that for sure. It is very easy to track various work flows with audit trails and history for each stage. Pros The system is well organized and allows for easy work flow for different stages for managing complaints. I joined the project in year 4 of a 5-year effort so was not able to take the training and get the experience with the product the other team members had, which was a disadvantage for me. During this 5-year project there were many software updates to TrackWise... most of which were good or even initiated by us; but some caused re-design of our user interface or interfaces to other system, which partially delayed deployment. Pros I liked the fact it was highly customized, even though it was a lot of work to set up, you could make the database have exactly the data points we needed and the screen display could look exactly the way we wanted it to, without having a pre-designed template for a different industry (or something else not useful). Cons The training for developers and administrators is very extensive and also very expensive. While much of it can be done on-line, most of the training materials only make sense when you are walked through it by a knowledgeable instructor... in person in MA or on-line. Pros its 21cfr part 11 comply and its very helpful if you are planning to regulatory approvals because its audit trail is perfect and its perfect for audit purpose. its very easy to use and eliminate your physical documentation load . Change control, deviations and risk management is very precisely designed in Track wise and really easy to use once you get perfect in it. Cons Its little complicated to use initially the training material they provide is not up to the mark and very lengthy and boring so its not feasible to complete that trainings and not as helpful for new users. Not many bugs and it serves its purpose well. Can't think of many more improvements besides what is mentioned above. Pros I have used Trackwise at multiple manufacturing sites for a wide range of uses including nonconformances, corrective actions, complaints, investigations, and other documentation. It is fast, easy to search records with, and does not have many problems. Cons There needs to be better local control of text when one is writing reports. There need to be features to bold, underline, etc in different report areas. The program is great for categorizing quality reports by client, product, equipment, process parameters, manufacturing site, etc. It can be an invaluable tool for conducting investigations based on historical data. The program ensures that reports are complete by prompting you for required entries before any changes could be saved. Cons The interface is very convoluted and difficult to navigate even for experienced users. There are multiple screens, tabs, and and cells to navigate (as if there were too many features). Editing a report can feel like it takes ages as you require approval from a quality manager to unlock the report before you can make changes, but this is more of an industry regulatory requirement rather than a software-related issue.
