Sales Director Information Technology and Services Used the software for: 1-2 years ### "Concur is a great Expense tracking tool from an experienced user perspective" December 15, 2025 5.0 I have only ever been a user and not a manager nor have I purchased SAP Concur, however as a user it is easy to use, you can do it remotely (e.g. right on-site, after an event) so you don't forget expenses/receipts, and again it is a great tool for getting paid. Pros Concur is a very easy to use expense payment tracking and payment system. What is great about Concur is that it makes it easy to identify the individual customers you are entertaining - especially for large events it will list people for you so you are less likely to forget anyone. Cons I didn't dislike anything about Concur however sometimes the 'app' managers configure it improperly so that there are limited expense items compared to what actually happens in the field. It also saves time being able to download and use this app on your cell phone or tablet. Pros This product simplifies the monthly expense report and is simple to use. The app makes it even better allowing easier access and not having to open up your laptop or desktop to complete your expenses. Cons When traveling, it doesn't recognize hotel taxes. The recent updates to the program made it more user friendly. Pros There is an app that can be used on your phone that makes expense reports easier to manage. Pictures of receipts can be added immediately so you don't have to carry them around. Pros Prior to moving away from SAP for our ERP platform, it's direct integration into our Finance platform was extremely nice. Cons I hated the outdated UI. Furthermore, I found the configuration of the software to be very convoluted and difficult. Pros I find SAP Concur to be quite useful, as it solves the problem of making sure that reporting is done correctly and efficiently. It helps us do our jobs, and it's an essential part of our processes at IBM. Although I don't have a specific feature that stands out, everything within SAP Concur is equally valuable because they are all part of the whole system. Cons There are times that SAP Concur has a lag in slowness to it. It is a little bit complicated at times when there are errors and issues, but that is mostly within our end and not with the application in itself. Review Source HD Hannah D. It makes reimbursing employees very easy and keeps track of all expenses. It has helped us trust our employees as well since it is so easy to use and read. Pros Easiest reimbursement and refund platform! All you do is snap a picture, separate out the unallowables and boom! you are good to go. Cons did not have any CONS, the mobile app is amazing to use and the desktop version. I am going to recommend this to my new company. Chief Operating Officer Financial Services Used the software for: 6-12 months ### "Heavy on the Tech Light on the Service" December 17, 2024 2.0 The onboarding process is not user friendly and requires technical expertise. It did not play well with other applications and the onboarding success team takes over a week to respond. If you have in house IT staff then you should consider it as it is feature rich and scalable, but it can get expensive quickly. They have no easy way to pay your bill and Support took 3 weeks to figure out why I could not access the online billing portal and in the interim I received threating demand e-mails from them daily. The billing portal is straight out of 1980 and hasn't been updated since. The setting options can be intimidating as again the system is feature rich. We have spent a significant amount of time and paid for a SuiteApp to connect SAP Concur to NetSuite so we are using it, but I would not recommend SAP Concur to any small or medium size business. We started with QB and then migrated to NetSuite with Concur and it is one of the most painful experiences of my professional career. Pros SAP Concur is a feature rich web based application with lots of name recognition. It is a legacy application so there are lots of experienced users. The reviews I read online are not an indication of my experience so I thought I would share my honest personal experience. Cons THIS IS A SELF SERVICE APPLICATION WITH LIMITED SUPPORT. The native QB connector for QB desktop enterprise is worthless with little to no support from Concur. Our onboarding specialist final recommendation after 2 months was to just use it manually without the QB financial connector. The admin platform is clunky and not intuitive. We have had multiple issues with items not working and the support has only been able to resolve 1 issue after 3 weeks of trying. You are better off using the forums and support groups outside of SAP Concur to resolve your issues. It's not the most modern looking tool but it's reliable and once it's configured properly it mostly runs itself, which is what you want from this kind of software. Pros Receipt capture and expense submission is straightforward enough that employees actually use it without complaints. Approval workflows are easy to configure and the integration with our finance processes reduced a lot of back and forth. Cons The interface feels a bit heavy and dated in places. Mobile app works but isn't the smoothest experience. Initial setup takes some time to get the policies and approval chains configured correctly. The price was very reasonable considering how much we used their services and how helpful they were. Pros As an executive assistant for 6 professionals that traveled to client sites often, SAP Concur was a lifesaver for travel booking. It was so easy to track the expenses for each individual, change flights, and even receive some last customer service when unexpected weather emergencies happened. Customer service was always helpful, answered my emails or calls right away, and helped my team get the best flights available. The configuration of my company's travel rules helped me always stay within budget, manage an entire team, and use their individual corporate cards. Cons Honestly, I had no complaints. All hotel/flight/car inquiries I had were always solved even when we ran into hurricanes, itinerary changes, and situations completely out of SAP Concur's control. Review Source BS Brett S. One of my favorite work software options. I'll be happy to use it for a long time to come. It delivers all of our business needs. Pros Concur is a great asset to our company. It helps our AP team keep oriented and focused. All levels of management generally seem to find it easy to use. Uploading and classifying receipts is super easy for all of us. Payment processing is very automated now. We will continue with Concur long into the future, as well as other SAP products. Cons It can take a few days for receipts to hit your Concur account. My normal usage is related to travel, but I have often used it for standard purchasing. Pros The best thing that SAP Concur offers is an app and a website that can work well together. SAP Concur worked best when I captured day-to-day expenses with the app and then sat down and put my reports together on the website. The SAP Concur travel booking functionality is also quite useful, and I appreciate booking all of my travel options on one website. Cons The hardest aspect of SAP Concur to work with was the occasional issues that arose when a captured expense would go to a different area of the website or get attached to another expense report. Allows multiple reports per month and seems to be approved and gets payments processed quickly. Cons Can be a little buggy and clunky sometimes with long page refreshes when making changes. Sometimes transactions can take a while to appear.
