ManageEngine RMM Central has significantly improved our IT operations. We’ve reduced downtime, improved visibility into network assets, and streamlined patch deployment. While there’s a learning curve at the start, the long-term efficiency gains make it worth the investment.

Pros

ManageEngine RMM Central offers great value for its price, especially for small and mid-sized IT teams. It combines patch management, endpoint monitoring, and remote troubleshooting in one platform, which helps reduce the need for multiple tools.

Cons

The initial configuration and onboarding can be time-consuming The interface can lag slightly with large device inventories Some advanced reporting features require higher-tier licenses

Pros

I liked the fact that using ManageEngine RMM Central makes patching a unified process across the endpoint network, including laptops, desktops as well as servers. It allowed acute reduction in the general exposure to vital risks due to the opportunity to schedule automatic patch rollouts after the vulnerability scans.

Cons

It was also observed that there is a need for manual configuration of the maintenance windows since several patches from different Capitals may overlap. It would be better if the tool resolves these issues without having to manually edit one of the two conflicting calendars.

Pros

I like the possibility to manage hundreds of devices without any interference with the help of ManageEngine RMM Central. Being able to monitor CPU, memory, disk usage and network, the proactive monitoring dashboards enabled me forestall issues for the growing user base of this tool.

Cons

Some old devices exhibited a bit of issue with installation of the agent and hence needed some tweaks before centralization.

Pros

I considered remote monitoring and patch management of RMM Central to help maintain distributed end-users’ machines up-to-date without much effort. It helped me to be able to detect the vulnerabilities automatically and even schedule them to patch at convenient times depending on the devices’ priority level.

Cons

It was established that real time asset inventory synchronization was a bit slow when there are many newly added devices.

Pros

The IT asset management module is the one that gives a single window access to all the hardware and software inventory. It helps in tracking of software license, usage, and unauthorized application detection making it easier to manage compliance and resource usage in ManageEngine RMM Central.​

Cons

When identifying the assets, a lot of time was used in the initial stage. It was found that it took longer time than expected to scan large networks and some devices had to be identified and categorized manually.​

Pros

The patch management feature in ManageEngine RMM Central makes it possible to convey updates for Windows, macOS, and Linux devices and all devices controlled by the program are updated without requiring additional steps. This has helped to minimize the window time and administration greatly.​

Cons

When a patch fails, the system could not describe clearly which exact steps are as a result wrong, and this complicates debugging.​

Pros

Through ManageEngine RMM Central, I receive timely alerts in case of any disturbances and can take the necessary measures to prevent complications. Such insights have given more precise knowledge of the network’s performance metrics in order to systematically and effectively allocate resources.​

Cons

There was no out of the box integration possible and we were forced to write scripts to integrate what was required and this could have taken time.​

The feature of remote screen sharing in RMM Central is unique and works perfectly. It has features such as file transfer and recording of the session which is helpful especially when issues arise during the support sessions.

Cons

The reporting module is not fully customizable in a way that the user deems fit or necessary.
