There were specific features I was looking for in managing constituents and donations and it has met our needs. Pros The customer service is phenomenal, especially the phone service. Anytime I've had an issue or question, they will work to resolve it no matter how long it takes. They are very knowledgeable and patient and will follow up to ensure the issue is resolved. The chat is very convenient for quick questions and almost always available. The knowledgebase is vast if you prefer to just look up a topic. Cons There are some features that are antiquated in their functionality and overall appearance. Although the new Drag and Drop form is much more modern, the other forms haven't caught up yet. Member Religious Institutions Used the software for: 2+ years ### "Industry Standard Customer Support" August 14, 2025 4.0 While I have always known I could get the information I needed out of DonorPerfect, I have always dreaded trying to figure it out. The reality is that I just needed to reach out to their Customer Support. When I finally got in touch with support with a specific issue, they were wonderful. Bottom line, Donor Perfect has everything you could possibly need in donor CRM, don’t wait or hesitate to get the help you need to mine the data and maintain your donor base. Pros Donor perfect customer support is fabulous. I wanted help with creating an monthly automatic report sent to my email. While this was in the system and I probably could’ve figured it out by searching on the Internet, when a Donor Perfect rep found out that I was struggling, he suggested I call customer support. Within 15 minutes I was fully set up and reports are now set to come to my inbox. There was absolutely no sense of frustration or expectation that I should’ve figured this out on my own. I wasn’t told to look at their FAQ or self-help to figure it out. This one on one support is absolutely top of the line Cons Donor Perfect can do so much, knowing how to make it all work for the average end user is daunting. It isn't as intuitive as I would like, but the processes are clear and I the tutorials are helpful. Pros The program makes it easy to track donor information and contacts. I like the fact that I can link individual profiles to organizational profiles. I also appreciate the capability of linking specific transactions to specific contacts. Cons When downloading transactions from Online Forms, DP can miss a connection between a donor who is completing the form and a member organization, which I have to correct manually. I find it easy to use, intuitive, and customer support to be quick and very helpful. Pros I appreciate the ease of use of DonorPerfect! It's very intuitive, and I have been able to jump in and complete a lot of tasks without much guidance, which speaks to how easy it is to use the platform. Customer Service has also been great! They were quick to help and fix issues when needed. Cons When I contacted our representative for support, he was really not helpful and didn't lead me to the right place to get assistance. The support team is exceptional. They are always very friendly, knowledgeable, patient and friendly. Cons I have occasionally run into a bit of a wait time for chat support. Cons The reports are a bit cumbersome and not as intuitive as some other platforms. Pros The security, data and management potential, excellent customer support, and comprehensive resources available to help users maximize their impact and get the most value for their money. I am frequently running reports on behalf of my organization and that feature alone is so helpful. Cons I don't find DP to be very intuitive/user-friendly, but the resources available via chat support, reports, and more and compensate for that and help you navigate the software with greater ease. Pros I am new to the Donor Perfect platform, but so far I have been impressed with the promptness of the customer service. I like that there is not a huge learning curve to use the software and that the CRM has a lot of capabilities that are useful to donor management. We are very happy with them. The staff at NGM has ease navigating it and it helps us stay on track. Pros It is easy to assess who all is giving to NGM and find information on. Donor Perfect has set up a very user friendly website. Cons Sometimes the platform times out which can be frustrating. It is not as sophisticated as other CRMs in terms of it's structure and reporting functionality, but with excellent customer support and taking the time to learn the system, it can provide a lot to smaller organizations. Pros DonorPerfect is a straightforward and affordable CRM, the customer support is excellent and very responsive. There is a decent amount of customization available to create custom fields and layouts that make the most sense for your organization. The out of the box reports are a decent starting point and the training provided to support this is good quality. It is a good option for smaller shops. Cons There is a bit of a learning curve with the reporting functionality and certain reporting limitations if you are looking to run customized reports. The structure of records is lacking in certain features like household records, soft credit donations, and the ability to distinguish gifts from event registrations. Review Source TM Tara M. The Training and Support Team is amazing and very supportive. Cons I wish the support line was 24 hours for those late nights when you need help but they provide numerous resources to help you on the site. While it can sometimes be frustrating or clunky, it is extremely useful. I'd like to see some changes but it currently works for me regardless. I appreciate Pros I started working with DonorPerfect a year ago and have found it very easy to learn. The receipts, reports, and global update functions are very helpful and versatile. Cons It can be difficult troubleshooting for very specific problems or questions. The training I've taken through DP was very beginner level. Features I'd like to see: Being able to edit email receipts in the preview Ability to create duplicate gifts ALL fields available in Drag n Drop forms Batch gift entry fitting the screen (horizontal scrolling can be difficult because you can't see the gift you're entering data for if you've scrolled) Fix your two factor authentication, somedays I have to put in a code multiple times despite checking the box Review Source MP Morgan P. Cons Some of the features are not as comprehensive as possible this includes things such as grant tracking and reporting and moves management. Pros Uploading the data and exporting the report. It is very easy to handle. Membership management is very good and easy to use. Cons Entering the date, and there is a lot of statistical information. Our firm uses it for mostly thank you letters and reports. If I need to contact customer support they are always friendly, patient, and knowledgeable. They help me when I am in a jam or need a question asked. Pros Before working at this firm I was not familiar with DonorPerfect or DP for short, but it was very easy to learn and quite a useful platform then what we had prior. Cons The only drawback is that sometimes DP support line is closed due to (I assume) lunchbreaks or something, and that is of course the time I needed to speak to someone. Review Source LW Lynn W. Although getting through the initial understanding of how the software works (from a finance office perspective) is a bit of a learning curve, it is easy to navigate once you have it down pat. Pros This software has been excellent for our yearly fundraising campaigns, and also for regular donations throughout the year. It encourages good communication across the board with team members, which is helpful because some of us are working remotely. I work in the finance office, and navigating to specific donations for accounting purposes was easy and efficient. I think it is well worth it. Customer support was always helpful, although we only paid for the live chat tier, they stayed with me until we got my question answered. Cons It is a steep learning curve, but once you've got it down it's easy. The biggest challenge for me (I work in the finance area) was navigating through different screens to see the varying details I required for each donation, because one screen shows the type of donation while the other shows the details of the actual transaction. Cons Some of the reporting is pre-programmed and does not allow flexibility for those particular reports, however, you can create many personalized reports, and their support team is very helpful in providing the codes to get the results you are looking for.
