Overall I like DonorPerfect, and often recommned it to smaller nonprofits when asked. I tell them everything I have listed above, and always say I am happy to talk in more detail if they want.

Pros

Donor Perfect is the most user friendly CRM I have used to date. I appreciate the ability to create and maintain my own codes without the need for an inhouse IT staff member. I also love that with the plan my organization has the immediate access to help when needed and the following "extras": 1. Forms, but the classic and click & drag formats. 2. Event management 3. Online/mobile bidding platform.

Cons

That each family member has their own individual record without being attached. People in the same house should be combined into a household account.

DonorPerfect is very easy to use, with a modern and intuitive user interface. I appreciate that it's easy to have multiple users to increase collaboration.

Pros

DonorPerfect is a great product, and whenever I need support, I get immediate and helpful assistance through their help features.

Cons

I think there is a little bit of clunkiness in some of the integrations--new vs. old donation forms, especially creating forms for things other than donations.

I have only used DonorPerfect for the past year and a half but it has been super easy for me to learn and each time I am working on a project I learn something new.

Pros

Donor Perfect is the easiest app to use. I love how user friendly it is, and how you can easily add your donations, locate a donation, run reports - super easy.

Cons

I wish this was around years ago to make my life easier back then. I used to have to track paper recepts.

DonorPerfect is easy to customize and learn. It's very automated, and saves so much time on our team! I would highly recommend it.

Pros

DonorPerfect is the most user-friendly CRMs I have used. It's extremely intuitive. It also integrates with our ticketing software so that I can see an individual's tickets, memberships, and even concessions. I also really like how customizable the screens are. My team and I were able to create custom fields to segment our donors.

Cons

If I could ask for one change to DonorPerfect, it would be the filter-writing language. Instead of compund filters, it would be useful to be able to write out filters using "AND", "OR", "IF", etc. However, I'm still able to build the filters I need, it just takes a while to manipulate the language. Additionally, I've found a learning curve with the new donation forms.

The tool is very useful and we are continually accessing new functionality. But their customer support is what really separates them from competition.

Pros

DonorPerfect is easy to use and their online customer support is fantastic! The new form builder helps to make donor-friendly donation forms - can't wait until the new forms are available for events, too!

Cons

We've just started adding donor notes and still learning how to best utilize - and easily access/view - this functionality.

The constitute information is easy to find. Navigation is user friendly. The people at the help desk are friendly, very knowledgeable and provide excellent help.

Pros

The ease of using the various screens. Adding fields to the screens are very simple. Reports can provide so much useful information.

Cons

At first, building reports can be confusing. After taking a few classes, the fields make more sense.

Cons

It is very difficult to make custom reports. The reports we do create do not save as their own report.

Cons

The receipting feature isn't as customizable, I can't edit individual messages like I can through gift profiles, but we have found a workaround that fits our gift load.

This is my first CRM, and I found DonorPerfect very easy to learn and use. A new employee suggested we try a system she was familiar with, and it was very evident that DonorPerfect is truly a step above the rest.

Pros

It is very user-friendly. It is capable of doing so much! Also, if you don't know or remember how to something, the help chat is a great resource.

Cons

Having the help chat unavailable for an hour each day. It always seems when I need to figure something out, the chat is unavailable during that one hour of the day. If it were available all day, that would be helpful.

Our experience has been excellent. The interface is great and very easy to use. I love how it syncs with constant contact.

Pros

Their customer service is amazing. I have worked with many platforms ove the years and Donor perfect is by far the best I have seen. They are very responsive and make sure they have resolved your issue. I have found everyone on their team to be very helpful and always go above and beyond. Something else that I like is that they update your contacts automatically to checkoff moves, deaths, etc. I also appreciate that they sync with constant contact.

Cons

It's not cheap and it took a bit of effort to make the case to the stakeholders to make the investment. Honestly, I would prefer that they worked with mail chimp instead of constant contact but it still works.

Our experience is great overall. We are hoppy with the switch the DonorPerfect platform. It helps us track our specific event and donors.

Pros

I like that our organization is able to connect with other platforms by using one main desktop. It is also easy to pull our specific donation history for certain events/campaigns.

Cons

Our organization struggles with the constant contact platform. We try to use this for mass emails, uploading to our donor email list with a lot of difficulties.

I like it because I have all the data available to me and can create useful and insightful reports for leadership.

Pros

Ease of use when creating forms and downloading information to the donor profile. I am able to create sponsorships with the correct level of sponsorship and the number of tickets that sponsorship gets. I can also add new fields to screens and reorganize them in a way that is more visually pleasing to the user.

Cons

It is sometimes slow. Also, at times, when a maintenance is done, it then requires the login to enter a code.

Cons

It is not exactly user friendly. Since I was not trained on its functions when I started my job, I had to learn on the fly and some parts are more difficult to work through than others.

Truly, I feel more confident about our capacity to attract, cultivate, and retain donors with this system, especially because of the tremendous real-time support and responsiveness from DP staff, and the awesome training resources provided. Also, after you really feel you are in the groove, using DP is FUN!

Pros

The DonorPerfect support team is everything a new user could dream of having behind them to help maximize the system's amazing range of tools. Whether you shoot a question to them by email or pick up the phone, you not only get your questions answered or problem solved, you can also expect to have a genuine thought-partner on the other end of the line who genuinely cares about helping you understand and get the most out of the system to meet your needs. The DP folks are incredible humans with an inhuman skill-set! They not only are technical experts, they are real people who really care about us on the other end!

Cons

There is a lot to learn and typically not a lot of time to get up to speed for a new user, and a lot of 3rd-parties (partner apps/integrations) to keep track of, which feels a bit overwhelming at first.

DonorPerfect is a great database with easy to use features. It was very easy to jump into and self-teach when I first started using it in my role.

Pros

It was user friendly and easy to jump in with. The training and conference videos are great tools to make sure you really know how to use the product. Also, there are easy walk-throughs for new steps you're taking so that you enter your data properly.

Cons

The reporting area took longer to get comfortable with and I'd like access to a list of my donors without creating a list or having to search individually. Although, they assure me they're working on that.

I love the Customer Support. I get a response within an hour when I email and immediate support when I use the chat. They break down each step with details so even somebody as inexperienced as I can pull customized reports and make sure I use the system correctly.

Cons

It is a bit more expensive than other platform, which puts a strain on budgets of small organizations.

Cons

Reports are not easy to generate, coding had to be revamped, and support has been fair at best. THE SITE TIMES OUT 10X PER DAY minimum

It's common to feel a bit overwhelmed at first with comprehensive software, but discovering how all the features can work together to streamline your processes and achieve your goals is truly exciting.

Pros

Support is readily available and helpful, and the training resources effectively equip us to use the software. The DonorPerfect team is open to feedback, actively listens to user issues, and is proactive in finding solutions. Overall, this paints a picture of a company that prioritizes user support and engagement, which is a significant factor for us!

Cons

Reporting tool is a little tedious and not necessarily intuitive. The wide array of options, filters, and data fields can be overwhelming. Users might struggle to find the specific report they need or to customize it without a clear, guided process.

Excellent! We really are just greatly pleased with our Donor Perfect experience. Our development manager is just getting started, but we anticipate that going well too.

Pros

We mostly use the donor management software to track donations and to generate correspondence with donors. Donor Perfect excels at this.

Cons

Some letters have been hard to modify, but when I have time support is quite helpful. Too, our sales representative was just so good at explaining everything and working with us. I wish he was still part of our team.

My workplace has used DonorPerfect for over a decade and it has been invaluable for managing donations and other income. We have easy-to-track records of longtime supporters, donation histories and campaigns, that allow us to make decisions about future fundraising. We love it!

Pros

I really like the ease of use, but the best part about DonorPerfect is the staff who are helpful, responsive, and flexible.

Cons

I don't like the appearance. I think it's too bright, which strains the eyes. There is no dark mode option. And sometimes it is confusing to navigate the website, especially when making reports.

Price can't really be beat for what you get- service is not really comparable to some of the more premier options on the market, but if you want bang for your buck, this is an adequate option.

Many features are rough around the edges and/or do not work the way that one might expect based on experience with other CRM software

DonorPerfect is like the Windows version of donor database software. While it's not all pretty like Apple and is quite involved, it can pretty much pull whatever information you want it to which is amazing. The chat support is super helpful when you need a very specific report pulled or template setup.

Pros

I love that you can chat with support at any time and they always do a good job of walking you through the process your working through.

Cons

It's kind of easy to do a step in the process wrong (ex. when pulling a report, noting "and" rather than "or"), so you just have to pay close attention that your dotting your i's and crossing your t's to get the information you're looking for.

The customer service is always helpful, and they take the time to work through your question or issue. The representatives have also offered best-practice solutions when I'm using a feature of the software that is new to me.

Cons

Some of the dashboards, forms, and reports have lacked the customization preferences I would like to see, but I have seen improvements in some of the customization options over the years.
