The system is very user-friendly and the reporting options are fantastic. Pros DonorPerfect stands out as one of the most comprehensive and user-friendly CRMs on the market today. Excellent reporting and analytics and great customer service. Cons The donor duplicate function needs to be refined, It doesn't always catch the duplicates and we end up with several records for the same donor. It meets all our needs and more! Pros This is a very user friendly system with an excellent customer service team who work very hard to answer any questions quickly, no matter how small. We also really like being able to taylor the database to our requirements, and the connection with Constant Contact. Cons Still a few tweaks to make it even more compatable with the UK clients (Gift Aid, searching by post code), but we know the team are very proactive and are working on this. The tools are intuitive and stay up to date with the integrated tasks we need as fundraisers - ie: updating credit card expires, integration with email crm's Cons The reporting tool, is old and clunky, like a version of a year 2000 MS database. June 30, 2025 5.0 My overall experience with Donor Perfect has been very positive. It meets our needs for reporting, accounting, and donor records. When we have to make a change, it is generally intuitive and easy. Pros Donor Perfect is user friendly. Onboarding new staff is very easy because of the clean interface. The hardest part of training is to remind new staff that stationary must have the watermark correctly oriented. Cons There is only one thing that bothers me with DonorPerfect. Updating Mail Merge letters is far too cumbersome. When letterhead has to be updated, I have to go through dozens of letters by hand. Download each letter, move the original letter to a different folder or status, upload each new letter. This takes a considerable amount of time and has any number of places where an error might occur. I wish we could just download the letter that has to be updated, then upload/overwrite the existing letter by saving the new letter. Review Source JA Judy A. They always give an easy to follow break down of how to use Donor Perfect as well as RSA. Pros I like that I can get all of my data in one place. I especially liked the convenience of Ready Set Auction for our recent event, which I found and used through Donor Perfect. Cons Sometimes I have trouble with creating formulas for my reports. Pros It is a powerful and comprehensive platform allowing for the careful management of data and the appropriate processing of financial transactions. Considering the many sophisticated features, it does provide good value for the money. Improvements are always considered based on customer feedback. The support team is collaborative and very helpful. When I need to run a report I am not able to do it by myself but the support team is very helpful. Pros Whenever I need assistance the help line is very good. I get detailed and easy to execute directions from DonorPerfect. Cons The area that is the least favorite in DonorPerfect is making reports, which is very important to my organization. It's easy to enter and look up information, there's a lot of different fields to keep information separate. Pros The ease of entering batch gift entries is a big plus. its very simple and quick to do, very intuitive. Cons The overly complicated and not intuitive reporting process causes me to spend time on the phone with support for simple reports. It's a very frustrating process. It is a central place for us to store all our files to be able to find them quickly the next time we need them. Pros Customer support is done well; they are very knowledgeable and helpful in teaching us how to use their software. The platform is easy to use. It is easy to send emails for marketing from the platform, and managing our database is easy within the system. Cons DonorPerfect can be a bit of a learning curve for someone who is not tech-savvy. A person less tech-savvy will just need to be patient while they are learning to use the platform and use the customer support feature to learn how the platform works. Review Source JM Jennifer M. My colleagues like it too. We had the option to go with another program earlier this year and we stuck with DonorPerfect Pros I like DonorPerfect's mobile app. That way I can view information when I'm not in the office or next to my computer. I like that I can use the pledges function to track multiple grants from one funding source. Cons I wish that DonorPerfect had more features related to grants, like tracking spend downs. However, I know that is beyond the scope of the program. I honestly still feel like I’m learning how to work with it and am trying to hold off on having an opinion until I know how to use it better. I think it could be more helpful than I know. Pros The customer support through chat option is INCREDIBLY helpful! They provide step by step instructions for any issue you may have. Cons The donor management is not necessarily the easiest to use or most intuitive. I struggle with finding donors, spouse details, flags, households, etc. and wish they were set up differently. Best Customer Service yet!! Keep up the great job. Pros The fact we can find our Donors by number makes life so much easier than looking up the last name or by zip code. Last names can get tricky especially if someone has the same last name. Cons It can really be slow from time to time when I am very busy and need it to work lol but over all its not bad at all. I can easily build reports and find donor records, plus it has a receipting function to program and pull donors who recently gave gifts, so you never miss an opportunity to send a thank-you letter. Pros DonorPerfect is a donor database system that allows you to customize specific landing pages for donations and routes them into the system with the user's giving history. Cons Sometimes it is difficult to use the criteria building selection for generating giving reports. I have had to consult the customer support team several times for assistance. Pros DonorPerfect's interface is very user friendly and intuitive. From inputting gifts to pulling reports and producing receipts/donor acknowledgement letters, DonorPerfect makes it easy and efficient to get the information you need right at your fingertips. Cons Sometimes errors pop up when in the middle of gift processing or running reports, which should be worked on. It can interrupt a whole process in which you have to start again from scratch. A quick refresh of the page usually does the trick to have it return to normal, but occasionally there are times where the browser needs to be shut down and then re-opened. Review Source AE Ashley E. Their knowledgebase is wonderful, and their customer support is truly supportive. It doesn't have all the fanciest bells and whistles, but for an organization that never used a CRM platform before (our needs are not extensive), we are great we chose them. Pros I love the ease of the system itself. It is intuitive to complete nearly any task, and I really like the overview on each donor profile. The support staff is also fantastic, and problems are solved in minutes. The cost was also perfect for our budget. I love the ability to customize reports as well; there is a small learning curve, but it's wonderful after that. Cons I feel the forms could be a bit smoother. We use one for volunteer tracking, but it's a bit clunky having to transfer data. The integrations available can help with the issue if needed. I also wish we could choose what our home screen looked like or just an opportunity for more aesthetic and ease of use choices. The reps are knowledgeable and always helpful. Pros For the most part, the modules are comprehensive, especially the reporting, and there are lots of useful features. Generally the interface is intuitive and easy to use. Cons Certain processes are tedious and non-intuitive, such as setting up filters for specific reports. One important field on the main donor screen that is missing is the ability to mark donors as deceased so they can easily be removed from certain reports. Pros I love being able to have our donors all in one place. It makes keeping track of donors, their info, and giving much easier. I also love the ability to integrate donations from giving platforms into DonorPerfect and syncing them with our QuickBooks. Saves a lot of time. Another option I love is their customer service. They are wonderful. Most easiest to connect with customer service I have ever dealt with. They are always very informative and walk me through the process of any questions I may have. Cons I would have to say that running reports with all the various filters can be quite tricky and confusing at times. The customer service is great at helping with this, and once you have the filters and reports correct, it works beautifully! Whenever something can't be figured out, their customer service is great too. Cons The Screen Designer is a little clunky. A drag and drop option would be great, but it doesn't exist yet. It’s easy to use, super intuitive, and the reporting tools are solid—lots of ways to dig into the data without getting overwhelmed. There are a ton of features that saves time and makes it easier to keep track of and undestand donors and donations in a way that actually makes sense. As a fundraising-communications-'other duties as assigned' team of one, it will make a big difference in how I work. And honestly, the support is fantastic. The webinars (both live and on-demand) are helpful and easy to follow, and the online chat support folks are very responsive and helpful. So glad to be back in the DonorPerfect community! Pros It's easy to use, there are lots of features, and the reporting capabilities are very helpful for our organization. I also appreciate the Constant Contact integration. Cons I remember the consolidated tax receipting process at the end of the tax year rather cumbersome, although we always received individual support producing them, so I wasn't left to my own devices.
