It helps streamline donor tracking, maintain clean records, and produce reports that are useful for identifying trends and supporting engagement efforts. It hasn't always the most flexible tool for highly customized reporting, but it is effective for core donor management functions and helped keep workflows organized and consistent. Pros I really appreciated how DonorPerfect centralizes donor interactions. Being able to see a full history of communication, engagement, and giving in one place made it easier to build more personalized and consistent relationships. Cons One thing I found challenging was that some of the reporting options weren’t as flexible as I would have liked. October 28, 2025 4.0 My overall experience with DonorPerfect has been great so far! It has been relatively easy to navigate, collaborate, and add donor information. Pros My favourite thing about DonorPerfect is just its ability to be the perfect one stop shop for all of our gifts, donor information, contacts, etc. It is a really effective Donor Management system. Cons There are some features that don't feel particularly useful to my organization and what we do that I don't really need access to. Also, I find the report builder to be a little clunky/confusing. To be able to draft a letter and upload it into DonorPerfect is a game-changer for me. Cons When I'm running reports, I'd prefer that the date range be current. I have to reset it every time. The staff are very personable and easy to work with. Pros As a brand new user, I have enjoyed the ease of use as we learn this product and all of its capabilities. So far, DP customer service has been much more attentive than our former database. Cons I have found it disruptive to be logged out so often if I am on another screen. I believe it times out every 20 minutes. The reps are always available to assist with report building, which is often the most challenging with any donor database. Cons DonorPerfect is not as customizable for forcasting as I would like. Adding mass contacts when sending mailers is something that I would like but have not been able to do. May 19, 2026 4.0 DonorPerfect is much more user friendly than any other donor program I have used, and the knowledgebase is very helpful. Pros My favorite feature for quick entry of donations is the 3-letter search of multiple words. Finding the donor is a breeze! Cons Seeing the details after a batch is posted is difficult. So far we have enjoyed the personalized support with emails, video meetings, chats - all with real people. Pros We are just getting started on DonorPerfect and we really appreciate all of the staff support so far with our onboarding experience. We are excited to learn all the ins and outs of this donor management platform! Cons So far we don't have any experience with a con for DonorPerfect. We did have a switch from one sales rep to another early in the process, which caused a few hiccups, but these have been resolved pretty quickly. I can't wait to see what awaits us when we switch to accepting payments through DonorPerfect and how this will assist us with our next big event. Pros DonorPerfect is very user-friendly for all of our donor tracking. The trainers are awesome, shout-out to \[sensitive content hidden\]., she's the best! The free webinars are a great resource for someone just starting DonorPerfect, or if you need help with a specific issue. Cons Running reports can be a little tricky, but not impossible. The system is great and tracks all the information that is needed. I LOVE that you can track multiple things for each donor. I also really like the drag and drop forms for collecting donations. Cons The system itself is not necessarily user friendly. There are several helpful tools such as webinars and the videos/articles. However, finding some of these resources can be challenging. The DonorPerfect app makes it possible to look up donor information and take donations on the go. Pros The ease of inputting donor data, the reports that allow you to pull just about any information you need, the ease of receipting donors, and the integration with other software like Constant Contact. Cons The online forms are my least favorite part about DonorPerfect. The forms are very basic and they do not allow you to make many edits or manipulate the form to work best for your needs. It is difficult to update sponsorship information on the forms because you can't see the full description at once and there are breaks and coding involved. It feels like they care about my personal experience which is great. Pros It is a pretty user friendly CRM for someone who is willing to put some time in to learn the ins and outs, but it's not complicated. Anytime I have run into a challenge, I reach out to customer support and get help from a real person immediately. Everyone I have interacted with has been extremely helpful. There are multiple different ways to manage donor profiles and organize campaigns which I appreciate. It just takes some time to invest in learning. Cons I think at first it can be a little overwhelming because there are so many things it can do and help with at an organization. It just takes some investment of time to learn those aspects. But as a used it more and called support for help, I now like it alot. The support people were very patient and helpful. They knew the product well and even helped with advanced things. Pros The ease of entering donation checks and credit card payments. It is also easy to enter a credit card and create a pledge. Cons Creating a new report is not easy. Filtering is not easy. Moving over from Raiser's Edge was a simple process, and the learning tools are very helpful. Chat Support has also been fantastic when I can't find the answers I'm looking for. Pros I love that we can design the screens to work best for us. I also appreciate that DonorPerfect has canned reports that we can use. Cons While I like the look of the new drag and drop donation forms, I appreciate the simplicity of seeing who has donated on the original donation forms. June 23, 2025 4.0 The staff helping us with our conversion, training, and onboarding have been incredibly nice and helpful. So far most of the features like reporting, gift and funder entry, email receipting, and user settings have been very intuitive and easy to learn. A few frustrations with the integrations, since it seems like the system prefers we use DonorPerfect products, but that's not surprising. Overall, happy with our transition! Pros We really like how intuitive and well-labelled the majority of the features are in the system. And how simple yet effective it is. So far, we've found DonorPerfect to work well for our medium-sized nonprofit needs. Reporting is also fantastic, it offers so many capabilities we couldn't do before, is robust without being overwhelming and too many bells and whistles. Also love being able to send letters and emails directly from a donor's record or a gift record, and that it saves right to the contact screen. Also love the ability to easily link and soft credit gifts. Cons Integrations like Qgiv are pretty limited in capabilities because DonorPerfect really pushes its own payment processor and forms. Also, I do not feel like the system for receipting is the most user-friendly or intuitive, particularly letter receipting. The emails are fabulous. I do wish there were more integrations with other platforms, and there are obviously some cons listed above, but nothing that we would stop using the platform for. Pros The ease of use continues to be a positive for this platform, along with self-paced and instructor led training which allowed us to onboard a new employee very quickly. Also love the chat feature to get answers in real time vs. having to email and wait for a response. Cons They have a drop and drag donation forms section. The downside is that unlike their classic forms, you need to actually run a separate report to get the names of the persons who have donated as it is not visible on the platform. Super inconvenient and something that we need to schedule regularly to pull. Another con is that in the classic forms the header area is not easy to work with or size. September 15, 2025 5.0 I am extremely satisfied with the Donor Perfect product. It meets all of my gift processing, grant writing, event planning, donor relations and communication needs. AND the DP team is very helpful and responsible when I need them. Pros Donor Perfect is extremely user friendly and intuitive! The cost is extremely reasonable for the power of the tool. Their customer support is friendly and knowledgeable. Having used several different CRM systems for development work over the last 35+ years, Donor Perfect is my favorite! I love using it for tracking donations, memberships, and its ability to connect with Constant Contact Cons Sometimes the site can be hard to navigate, but once you know what to look for, it is super productive and easy! April 15, 2025 5.0 As a small nonprofit, we've found DonorPerfect to be an incredibly helpful and reliable tool for managing our donor data. The software is well designed and fairly intuitive, making it easy for staff to learn and use. Data entry is straightforward, and the receipting process is simple to manage. One of the features we appreciate most is the flexible and powerful reporting function—it’s easy to pull the information we need in a variety of ways, whether for internal tracking or board reports. But the very best part of DonorPerfect is their outstanding tech support team. Every time we've needed help, their staff has been knowledgeable, patient, accessible, and genuinely kind. That kind of support makes a big difference. After several years with DonorPerfect, we have no plans to switch—we're grateful to have a system that works so well for our organization Pros The support team always helps me with anything I need—whether it be repeating a task I rarely use, finding a solution to a new need, or " teaching" me something. I appreciate their patience and kindness. Cons It's a real problem for us that the new forms with PayPal and Venmo do not have the versatility of the old forms. Pros I love how easy it is to use, and the online donation interface is very simple but has all of the functionality I need. It's easy to update and/or copy new forms for different campaigns. Cons I wish the user interface were a little more modern. While there are a few areas where the user experience could be improved, the platform is powerful, flexible, and generally easy to use. The standout feature is the exceptional customer support, which makes a big difference in our day-to-day use of the system. Pros What I appreciate most about DonorPerfect is how customizable the platform is to fit our organization’s specific needs. The support team is also exceptional—friendly, responsive, and extremely knowledgeable. Any time I have a question or need assistance, it’s quick and easy to connect with someone who can help. Cons Pulling reports and setting up filters can feel a bit complex, especially when trying to extract very specific data. I would also love to see a feature that allows users to duplicate a gift entry—this would be a major time-saver for recurring gifts with identical details, such as employee giving contributions. Currently, we have to re-enter the same information and re-link donors manually. Additionally, the donor search function could be more intuitive. It would be helpful if similar results appeared even when the search entry isn’t an exact match—for example, showing "Jon Smith" when searching "John Smith." Review Source AO Amy O. Pros Overall support from customer service to training videos and the knowledge base have been exceptional. I am new to my position, new to CRM systems, and and to using Donor Perfect. While many aspects of the database and running reports have been very challenging for me, the support available through Donor Perfect has been exceptional. Cons Running reports on Donor Perfect is an acquired skill. Many times, I have repeated the same steps for practice, but not produced the same results. It was not a single integration and required 2 onboarding processes.
