I'm currently a one-person development office. DonorPerfect does most of the work for me. Pros Ease of Use. Anyone can use it. To be able to draft a letter and upload it into DonorPerfect is a game-changer for me. Cons When I'm running reports, I'd prefer that the date range be current. I have to reset it every time. The system is great and tracks all the information that is needed. I LOVE that you can track multiple things for each donor. Example: Keeping track of volunteer hours Pros I really liked the on-boarding process! The team was great to work with and very responsive! I also really like the drag and drop forms for collecting donations. Cons The system itself is not necessarily user friendly. There are several helpful tools such as webinars and the videos/articles. However, finding some of these resources can be challenging. Pros The customer support that I receive even after utilizing this product for three plus years is outstanding. Cons I still have yet to figure out automatic receipting which would negate the need for manual acknowledgement letters to be generated. It’s easy to use, super intuitive, and the reporting tools are solid—lots of ways to dig into the data without getting overwhelmed. There are a ton of features that saves time and makes it easier to keep track of and undestand donors and donations in a way that actually makes sense. As a fundraising-communications-'other duties as assigned' team of one, it will make a big difference in how I work. And honestly, the support is fantastic. The webinars (both live and on-demand) are helpful and easy to follow, and the online chat support folks are very responsive and helpful. So glad to be back in the DonorPerfect community! Pros It's easy to use, there are lots of features, and the reporting capabilities are very helpful for our organization. I also appreciate the Constant Contact integration. Cons I remember the consolidated tax receipting process at the end of the tax year rather cumbersome, although we always received individual support producing them, so I wasn't left to my own devices. March 12, 2026 4.0 DonorPerfect is excellent at meeting the needs of our organization. I can't wait to see what awaits us when we switch to accepting payments through DonorPerfect and how this will assist us with our next big event. Pros DonorPerfect is very user-friendly for all of our donor tracking. The trainers are awesome, shout-out to \[sensitive content hidden\]., she's the best! The free webinars are a great resource for someone just starting DonorPerfect, or if you need help with a specific issue. Cons Running reports can be a little tricky, but not impossible. I have been working with it since 2023 and it has quickly been one of the most efficient platforms I have worked with. Pros DonorPerfect's interface is very user friendly and intuitive. From inputting gifts to pulling reports and producing receipts/donor acknowledgement letters, DonorPerfect makes it easy and efficient to get the information you need right at your fingertips. Cons Sometimes errors pop up when in the middle of gift processing or running reports, which should be worked on. It can interrupt a whole process in which you have to start again from scratch. A quick refresh of the page usually does the trick to have it return to normal, but occasionally there are times where the browser needs to be shut down and then re-opened. Review Source AE Ashley E. Their knowledgebase is wonderful, and their customer support is truly supportive. It doesn't have all the fanciest bells and whistles, but for an organization that never used a CRM platform before (our needs are not extensive), we are great we chose them. Pros I love the ease of the system itself. It is intuitive to complete nearly any task, and I really like the overview on each donor profile. The support staff is also fantastic, and problems are solved in minutes. The cost was also perfect for our budget. I love the ability to customize reports as well; there is a small learning curve, but it's wonderful after that. Cons I feel the forms could be a bit smoother. We use one for volunteer tracking, but it's a bit clunky having to transfer data. The integrations available can help with the issue if needed. I also wish we could choose what our home screen looked like or just an opportunity for more aesthetic and ease of use choices. The reps are knowledgeable and always helpful. Pros For the most part, the modules are comprehensive, especially the reporting, and there are lots of useful features. Generally the interface is intuitive and easy to use. Cons Certain processes are tedious and non-intuitive, such as setting up filters for specific reports. One important field on the main donor screen that is missing is the ability to mark donors as deceased so they can easily be removed from certain reports. Pros I love how easy it is to use, and the online donation interface is very simple but has all of the functionality I need. It's easy to update and/or copy new forms for different campaigns. Cons I wish the user interface were a little more modern. I get detailed and easy to execute directions from DonorPerfect. Cons The area that is the least favorite in DonorPerfect is making reports, which is very important to my organization. I like the additional new features that I keep learning about such as the Constant Contact integration, new forms integrations in Donor Perfect, and much more! Pros The customer support through chat option is INCREDIBLY helpful! They provide step by step instructions for any issue you may have. Cons The donor management is not necessarily the easiest to use or most intuitive. I struggle with finding donors, spouse details, flags, households, etc. and wish they were set up differently. Whenever something can't be figured out, their customer service is great too. Cons The Screen Designer is a little clunky. A drag and drop option would be great, but it doesn't exist yet. There were specific features I was looking for in managing constituents and donations and it has met our needs. Pros The customer service is phenomenal, especially the phone service. Anytime I've had an issue or question, they will work to resolve it no matter how long it takes. They are very knowledgeable and patient and will follow up to ensure the issue is resolved. The chat is very convenient for quick questions and almost always available. The knowledgebase is vast if you prefer to just look up a topic. Cons There are some features that are antiquated in their functionality and overall appearance. Although the new Drag and Drop form is much more modern, the other forms haven't caught up yet. Our auditors just gave us a big thumbs up on the accuracy and efficiency of our donation reports. Pros The Donor Management provided by DonorPerfect has been excellent. We appreciate the ease of use and convenient reporting features. Cons It's tough to come up with something I don't like about DonorPerfect. The reality is that I just needed to reach out to their Customer Support. When I finally got in touch with support with a specific issue, they were wonderful. Bottom line, Donor Perfect has everything you could possibly need in donor CRM, don’t wait or hesitate to get the help you need to mine the data and maintain your donor base. Pros Donor perfect customer support is fabulous. I wanted help with creating an monthly automatic report sent to my email. While this was in the system and I probably could’ve figured it out by searching on the Internet, when a Donor Perfect rep found out that I was struggling, he suggested I call customer support. Within 15 minutes I was fully set up and reports are now set to come to my inbox. There was absolutely no sense of frustration or expectation that I should’ve figured this out on my own. I wasn’t told to look at their FAQ or self-help to figure it out. This one on one support is absolutely top of the line Cons Donor Perfect can do so much, knowing how to make it all work for the average end user is daunting. Cons When downloading transactions from Online Forms, DP can miss a connection between a donor who is completing the form and a member organization, which I have to correct manually. It is a central place for us to store all our files to be able to find them quickly the next time we need them. Pros Customer support is done well; they are very knowledgeable and helpful in teaching us how to use their software. The platform is easy to use. It is easy to send emails for marketing from the platform, and managing our database is easy within the system. Cons DonorPerfect can be a bit of a learning curve for someone who is not tech-savvy. April 7, 2025 5.0 I have been using DonorPerfect since I started at Trillium House in July of 2024 and I started watching all the videos to learn as much as I could. I have since picked up some new responsibilities and haven't had a chance to learn as much anymore but plan to return to the learning process. I have used not even half of the features but plan to in the future. I really love that the customer service team is so responsive and helpful, never have I come away from a question without an answer. Pros I really enjoy using DonorPerfect because it is user friendly and has ALL the information I need to collect, seriously they have thought of everything! We are very happy with them. The staff at NGM has ease navigating it and it helps us stay on track. Pros It is easy to assess who all is giving to NGM and find information on. Donor Perfect has set up a very user friendly website. Cons Sometimes the platform times out which can be frustrating.
