From start to finish, our experience has been excellent. We began our quest for a new database only two years ago.

Pros

DonorPerfect is very easy to use with great customer support and training. Full instructions for use are incorporated right into the site. The cost is very reasonable. Integration with Constant Contact for donor communication is easy to use.

Cons

Searching for a donor record is not always ideal as the system is not as intuitive as one might wish.

My experience so far has been excellent. The training resources and the in-person trainings have been incredibly helpful and the professionalism from the staff is refreshing.

Pros

Customer Service from the very beginning has been so good. The knowldege of the DP staff and their ability to accommodate our organizations needs has made the on boarding process smooth and pleasant. I also love the user friendliness and the knowledge center to help me take full advantage of all the system can do to help make our fundraising efforts more seamless.

Cons

I think the least liked part is that the migration process has taken a lot of time but the staff has made it worthwhile so not so bad. I am both looking forward to getting access to using the database and also kind of dreading the work i have to do to clean up our records and streamline. At least, DP is user friendly and has great customer service to help me as we ramp up.

Customer Service from the Account Manager was the main reason. The company's ability to work with us on pricing and the migration was also a factor. Also, the site is user friendly and we needed something that was not overly complicated but that provided financial reports and could connect with QBO and Constant Contact.

For a small organization, the long and onerous learning curve was among our biggest challenges. Without systems experience, it would be easy for an organization to make database design and data input decisions that could be counterproductive and lead to inefficiencies. As the external advisor for the project (coming from a systems and database management background) I had the time and expertise to deep dive, “pre-navigate”, and have conversations with both front line help and Development to guide best practices. The staff did not have either the time or the background to do so. Having said that, I found that I always got answers or resolutions to issues. The Chat support has been great in either answering a question, or knowing when to escalate a problem.

Pros

Customer support is above average. System is very customizable. Having consistent trainers a definite plus. Reports module builds on the strengths of consistent input practices.

Cons

Integration with Constant Comment is weak. Support during the initial implementation (on-boarding) was extremely weak. For an organization working with their first CRM, the DP learning curve is steep. Online Forms module is weak and the Drag and Drop forms limited in functionality.

It's a cost-effective, well-supported solution for our current needs. A huge step forward from our previous system! It's taken significant time over the past year build out our system, but I'm seeing the time savings now. Having real-time reports at my fingertips is fantastic!

Pros

When I was researching solutions for our small nonprofit, I saw multiple reviews mention the outstanding customer support. They were right. Customer support has been kind, responsive, and helpful from day 1. I've brought many problems to them and together we've found solutions. I feel like they are a true partner with our nonprofit and am grateful for that!

Cons

Learning to work the filters has taken a lot of work and time, especially when creating email send groups. (And I have a ton of query building experience!) Constant Contact doesn't have an inclusion/exclusion format for its send groups, which is a pain. Straightforward reporting on sustainers has been challenging too.

Pros

Compared to lots of other CRMs, DonorPerfect is super affordable. It's also scalable and offers lots of integrations, so you can do a great deal of customization. It's fairly easy to use, once it's set up, and there are a number of ways to get help or find solutions to problems.

Cons

Some features are a little clunky; for instance, the difference between Classic Forms and Drag-and-Drop ones is incredible, with Drag-and-Drop being much more attractive and easier to build, but it isn't an option for every type of gift. However, updates and improvements do seem to happen pretty regularly.

Overall, great. Definitely would recommend. We transferred from Flipcause and the ease of tracking of funds and transfer of funds, and reporting are all stellar.

Pros

Ease of use. The dashboard is very user-friendly. Maintains a great amount of information in a very clean way.

I wish they had more diverse landing pages. For some events with multiple layers it is not a great user-experience for our donors

So far, it has been great. The personalized training is very helpful to give me the tools I need to get the most utilization of the program!

Pros

I loved how easy it was to have them port in the information from our previous program. They also cleaned up the data. I also love that it talks right to our Quickbooks for ease of record keeping.

Cons

I struggled a little getting used to it at first, but that is in no way Donor Perfect's issue. I just chose the wrong time of year to make the transition and had too much on my plate!

Pros

This is a great donor management product. In terms of the capabilities for tracking and reporting, I've found it unmatched when compared with other software. Their customer support and training is also fantastic.

Cons

There is consistently a lag with the editing process for donor records and gifts, which is frustrating. Basically, you'll click on a box to edit it, and then the page pauses and thinks for a moment before allowing you to edit. When doing a lot of edits in a row, it can be very annoying.

Overall, DonorPerfect is a very powerful database system for donor management. It is still growing a lot in terms of being used as CRM or, at least, as an intuitive CRM.

Pros

We are always sure our data is secure with DonorPerfect. With affordable options and great customer support, DonorPerfect is hard to beat. The fact we can have multiple users and assign tasks to them is always great. Having donors laid out in a way we can see how long have they given and how many gifts is extremely useful.

Cons

The Contacts menu could be a bit more intuitive and be linked to iCal or Google Calendar features to make it easier to get notifications. Forms are a bit outdated and could use refining. The email builder could also use work, since we don't realize formatting is incorrect until we are sending receipts, for example.

We LOVE DonorPerfect! The training is flexible, the chat support is robust (and the people are friendly and professional), and once we got the hang of running reports, we couldn't believe how easy it is (we actually laughed in glad amazement). DonorPerfect will pay for itself in time saved!

Our team loves how much time it saves us compared to the system we had before, which we had to supplement with our own spreadsheets to capture the information we needed.

Cons

Some minor suggestions: A couple of the Foundations series videos went a little fast for us and would have been better divided into two videos each. We can pause the videos and rewatch items, but they were still a bit confusing because we watched them before our records transfer. We would have liked having some dummy constituents and records of our own before and during the import of our actual records. Would love to have chat support a little longer into the afternoon (we're Mountain Time).

Overall it was a great choice for our organization, has been much easier than our previous system, and has been a great improvement.

Pros

The web interface is user friendly, customizable where it needs to be, and logical to navigate. The data migration process was well managed and as painless as it could be.

Cons

The pricing model which invoices on levels of records in the system was a little difficult to get to a point where we could purge the non-needed records to manage our monthly cost. It wasn't horrible, but it did cause a little heartburn in the setup process.

Pros

We are just getting started on DonorPerfect and we really appreciate all of the staff support so far with our onboarding experience. We are excited to learn all the ins and outs of this donor management platform!

Cons

So far we don't have any experience with a con for DonorPerfect. We did have a switch from one sales rep to another early in the process, which caused a few hiccups, but these have been resolved pretty quickly.

Donor Perfect listens to their clients and actually apply client suggestions (in one of the fastest manors) . If they truly see something that does not work or make sense, they make a huge effort in being there every step of them way. Especially when making updates, they make it so clear when and where the update is. Their tutors and on demand staff are super attentive and knowledgeable in their field. They adjust their website so that it's easy to use for people who may not be knowable in data management platforms.

Cons

At first I noticed a bit of a lack in the volunteer aspect in the beginning and could not find tutorials that helped keep better track of volunteer work during certain time frames. But again because I expressed this kind of concern, they actually listened, now I get to see the DP grow is such a positive way!

Our organization is satisfied with the overall utility of DonorPerfect. The various help and tutorial services smoothed out an overall steep learning curve, and it is definitely helping us track donations, pledges, and communications with more thoroughness and accuracy (therefor allowing us to set more ambitious goals) than we have in the past.

Pros

DonorPerfect's customization options and flexibility are unmatched by similar donor management services that I've used. The field and code management systems took some getting used to, but they have enormous utility for pulling reports and processing data. The Chat Support help staff are fantastic; not only are they knowledgeable, but they always answer my questions thoroughly and with step-by-step instructions that are easy to follow. I'm so grateful that DonorPerfect pays real staff to assist with technical questions, rather than default to unhelp AI/automated chatbots. The expertise of the help staff (as well as the provided tutorials) are genuinely one of the highlights of the service, because they make otherwise opaque or arcane features more accessible.

Cons

DonorPerfect does not have a great option for inputting/crediting donations that come from more than one person (e.g. a household.) The way Donor Perfect currently treats donor couples, it requires combining two members of a couple into one donor ID, or keeping individuals separate and losing details of their combined giving. This is deeply impractical for our organization, where both partners in a couple can have unique relationships to our org that we'd like to capture. For example: a couple where one person is a volunteer leader with particular training, the other serves on a key committee, and both donate from a joint account, so arbitrarily assigning the donation to one person rather than their combined household doesn't reflect the reality of their giving. Also, we wish their automated email system allowed for conditional logic, like if a donor signed up to give monthly through our form, they could receive a different confirmation email than people who sign up one-time.

It is above average, compared to other "CRM" systems I have used in the past. I generally don't have any issues with the product or system, and the support is often very helpful when needed.

Pros

How easy it is to keep track of donations and reports. Currently I have to create a lot of reports manually, so it is easy to find the information I need.

Cons

When downloading online forms and it keeps asking to create a new donor, when the same exact information is pulled. I never could understand why the system thinks a new donor should be created when literally every field is the written exactly the same. Also, I don't like that I have to re-sign in every 10 days. Why isn't this every 30 days like other websites? I have to use Donor Perfect every day for my non-profit, so on the 10th day when it asks me to wait for the verification email, it always makes me cringe since I have to wait multiple minutes for the email to come through.

Overall, my experience with DonorPerfect has been positive. I have been using this product for about nine months now, so I am more familiar with its inner workings than I was when I started. Customer service has been very reliable and helpful with every issue I've had which is WONDERFUL!!! I LOVE YOU!!! I wish I could say the same about Meta's Facebook support :0 YUCK! But that is an outside issue, my apologies for digression.

Pros

I like the experience it offers to an inexperienced person like myself when learning about the language and context of online and paper giving, as well as campaigns, events, pledges and all those terms that I didn't know prior to using it. I also like its customizability when it comes to record keeping and characterization/organization of donor/gift information.

Cons

I need to manually run calculations in the FULL\_NAME section of calculated fields each time a new contact is imported from Qgiv. This is fairly simple to do, but I think it should be done automatically by the DonorPerfect program. Y'all know better than I do, but I can't think of a reason why a calculated field wouldn't be updated on a regular basis. I will run a report, and I use the FULL\_NAME field quite often in reports, but if it is a new contact imported from Qgiv, FULL\_NAME will show up empty, and I will ask myself, "Who is this donor?" and then I will remember, "Oh I need to run a calculation by hand and run the report over again." It's a small inconvenience, and I remember to run the calculations now, but I am thinking about future users here. Cool. Thanks for listening to me complain!!! :)

### "Excellent Customer Service!"

Customer service is awesome, and email campaigns are user-friendly! There are so many different ways to track your donors, use all of the functionality.

Pros

The donor management is fantastic, and the customer support is unmatched. Definitely something I'd recommend to any nonprofit.

Cons

The interface on your phone to have donors pay at events isn't as user-friendly as I'd like. DonorPerfect is defintely the best.

### "Excellent Customer Service & Easy to Use"

My overall experience with Donor Perfect is an excellent one. I was in a position with limited in-person training and was able to teach myself many features through the online web training videos.

Pros

Donor perfect has excellent customer service. The product is easy to use and has the ability to reduce your work load and create reports for marketing and accounting.

Cons

Recently, the chat option for customer service has been a little slower than in the past. There are no other issues that I have experienced using the program.

### "Donor Perfect for Us!"

As a small nonprofit, we've found DonorPerfect to be an incredibly helpful and reliable tool for managing our donor data. The software is well designed and fairly intuitive, making it easy for staff to learn and use. Data entry is straightforward, and the receipting process is simple to manage. One of the features we appreciate most is the flexible and powerful reporting function—it’s easy to pull the information we need in a variety of ways, whether for internal tracking or board reports. But the very best part of DonorPerfect is their outstanding tech support team. Every time we've needed help, their staff has been knowledgeable, patient, accessible, and genuinely kind. That kind of support makes a big difference. After several years with DonorPerfect, we have no plans to switch—we're grateful to have a system that works so well for our organization

Pros

The support team always helps me with anything I need—whether it be repeating a task I rarely use, finding a solution to a new need, or " teaching" me something. I appreciate their patience and kindness.

Cons

It's a real problem for us that the new forms with PayPal and Venmo do not have the versatility of the old forms. We'd like to add PayPal and Venmo, but we can't afford to give up the options from the old form.

The best part is how great the Assistants for help are. They always give an easy to follow break down of how to use Donor Perfect as well as RSA.

Pros

I like that I can get all of my data in one place. I especially liked the convenience of Ready Set Auction for our recent event, which I found and used through Donor Perfect.

Cons

Sometimes I have trouble with creating formulas for my reports.
