And there are many options for troubleshooting, from articles and videos to talking to a real live person to scheduling a Zoom training session. Pros This software covers all our recordkeeping needs, from membership data to accounting and payroll to communications with members. They listen to recommendations for improvements and are constantly upgrading. Cons The emails sent through the Icon system generate a sender name that is sometimes flagged as spam, which causes confusion for members who are technology challenged. The staff has been extremely helpful, patient and understanding of my struggles. They are always great when I call in even if it is a couple times in a week or a day. Just when I am sure they are going to block my phone number they keep answering my calls. The report options are also amazing. My year end reports used to take a week to create using Quicken compared to minutes using IconCMO. Pros I like the fact that if you make entries or changes that are not allowed a note pops-up to explain why you aren't able to take that action. I also like the notifications on updates that IconCMO makes with the step by step directions. Cons I have not found anything that I don't like about the software yet. Waiting for Icon to upgrade functionality so can correct an amount without having to void or delete the entry. Cons The updates sometimes seem to be numerous and hard to keep up with. The look changes every now and then and I have a learning curve. It is set up to add, delete, and categorized members and visitors efficiently. It provides a means to communicate via email or text. The Rubix feature has worked well with checking children into Sunday School and Children's Church. Parents like the security feature to ensure children are only released to those who are authorized. IconCmo also does a great job in contribution management. The integration of online giving has provided our members and visitors ways to give at home or on the go. The software allows for multiple users and it allows you to assign permissions for each level of user. Members are also able to access and update their information. Cons The only thing I dislike about this software is not being able to rewrite or reorganize some of the reports.
