### "Great value but could be more time and billing efficient"

Pros

I think the system is visually easy to use and intuitive for the most part. They have excellent customer support and are very responsive. Also, it is difficult to beat the cost - FREE! Notes are easy to compose and creating templates or commonly used phrases (smart text shortcuts) are very simple and don't require too much effort.

Cons

I have found it difficult to integrate with billing solutions that work for my small, solo practitioner office and it lacks any two way communication with claims clearinghouses/billers making a separate billing system (expensive and time consuming) mandatory. Also, in NC we are not yet able to use EPCS for controlled substances. In theory patients can complete intake forms prior to the new patient appointments, but the patient access system seems to have frequent problems and in the past 2 months has only worked about 50% of the time making paper records (and lost visit time) necessary.

### "Since they started charging, has gone downhill"

Pros

User friendly, easy to learn, does some MIPS recording, but not in its entirely, online access from anywhere.

Cons

Customer service is horrible; they are rude, not helpful at all and you are easily on hold for 40 minutes at a time. You can leave a message, but no one ever calls you back. My MA cannot call in refills or prescriptions. The triplicate e-prescribing is clunky and doesn't always work. Was going to finish my notes for the day and I can't log on to the system, but they are no scheduled outages. For the price, definitely better out there.

### "Great Patient System for Small Office"

Pros

The biggest pro for the software is that it was free to use. Secondly, it was a hosted web application, so no more server to manage in the office. It having support on the PC as well as the iPad helped our doctor interact more smoothly based on type of encounter. Main functions: charting, management, etc. all work consistently so we don't have issues. Compliance in the platform is another plus.

Cons

The biggest issue is when your Internet goes down. When there is an on-site server you wouldn't have an issue, but with web based you have to have a backup plan for operations.

### "Not suitable for Clinical Massage Therapy Practice"

We were searching for software to keep digital medical records, and also to keep printable SOAP charts for our medical massage therapy patients. There were many extraneous features not applicable to our practice that drove our choice to go to a different software suite.

Pros

The interface is easy to read, landing pages easy to navigate. The colors pop, the menus easy to get through.

Cons

It was not appropriate or useful for our practice. We are a medical massage therapy practice, but we do not take patient vitals, etc.

Reason for choosing Practice Fusion

This software came with the office ally suite, we tried it out for six months and it was not useful. The SOAP charting was useful but the need to navigate through inapplicable menus was wasteful of time.

### "The WORST customer service process"

Unfortunately I'm into the program now but I wish it were easy to leave cause I'd be gone.

Pros

It is easy to make it be flexible.

Cons

Any questions or problems with this product? Oh no you cant call customer support. You can only "submit a ticket" and at some point..days later they get back to you and you can ONLY communicate through emails. All of you questions requires a new ticket. It is insane.

Overall, our experience with Practice Fusion has been amazing and has saved us a tremendous amount of time while maintaining our patient data in a HIPAA compliant manner.

Pros

As a public safety agency that responds to medical emergencies, we wanted something that could help us maintain some information on the patients we treat that was also HIPAA compliant and was widely used by many of the area hospitals that patients we treat ultimately end up at. Practice Fusion was that software. It is so widely used and is basically the industry standard in the area we serve. That’s probably the best part of the software for us, even though everything else about it is just as good.

Cons

The thing that I like least about Practice Fusion is the inability to make some of the required fields ‘unrequired’. Unless there is a way that I’m not aware of, we’ve been unable to figure that out.

Pros

The ease of use makes this program excellent for my practice. I have not used the scheduler yet, but I intend to in the near future. I currently pay for a scheduler and billing program that has a fraction of the features of practice fusion.

Cons

No ability to click on body parts like some other chiropractic programs, but to be fair this is not solely based on chiropractic

### "Don't make the mistake I made and use PF!"

When my husband died, I legally reverted to my maiden name. My practice flow relies heavily on electronic prescribing. They told me it would take up to 14 business days to change my name, during which I could not prescribe electronically.

Pros

It is the fee.

Cons

You can not reach customer service and if you do, they tell you to fix the problem yourself. I have also been locked out of my EMR and was not able to access charts.

1) A bit cumbersome 2) Geared more toward medical community than mental health community 3) Clunky on mobile devices 4)No sync with other calendars even as an anonymous booking

I LOVE THE FEATURES THAT ALLOW YOU TO ADD TAGS TO THE PATIENTS CHARTS. IT COMES IN HANDY TO FLAG PHYSICALS THAT ARE DUE, VACCINES DUES, BALANCE ON ACCOUNT ECT. YOU CAN CREATE AND EDIT YOUR OWN CHART TEMPLATES, OR CHOOSE ONE THAT HAS ALREADY BEEN CREATED.

Cons

I WISH THERE WAS A WAY TO LINK FAMILIES. THAT IS THE ONLY DOWN FALL I WISH THERE WAS. CONSIDERING WITH PEDIATRICS THERE ARE ALOT OF SIBLINGS.

Very easy and intuitive to use. They are continually working on upgrades to make it easy to comply with changing meaningful use, PQRS and now MIPS requirements. Excellent customer service. No need to buy new software or updates to software;

Cons

Other than immunizations, does not easily keep track of all of the Health screening needs for the patients

Pros

Even with the paid subscription, it is cheaper than most EMRs. It will be nice to be able to subscribe controlled substances online with the new system.

Cons

Be aware that one subscription includes one physician and 3 staff they call secondaries. Any staff not listed as a secondary cannot sign scanned documents into the chart. This means if you have 4 staff members that need to be able to sign charts you have to purchase another entire subscription. They need an option to be able to purchase more secondary licenses by itself.

Awaiting from days to weeks for some one to help you out after submitting the ticket to the customer service department about problem with the program. Last time I had been on the phone with PF I had been waiting for 40 minutes for some one to pick up the phone and the person on the phone had been abrupt and patronizing. I hope I will not be in need for Practice Fusion customer services. Contacts with CS makes me think of changing to the other electronic records providers

I like the cosmetics of it, but it really stops there.

Cons

No support at all. No number to call. They do not respond to emails. I had two phone calls in setting the system but they have no support after the setup. Not a great EMR. Limited functionality.

Pros

I loved Practice Fusion in the past. It was easy to use and had a lot of great features. They have completely updated everything so it now a learning curve to figure out how to use again. They have left out things but hopefully will continue to improve and put these back in.

Cons

I think they are a great company. Software is focused on the medical provider but it is usable with a lot of tweaking by a mental health professional. It is so much more time consuming to use than before they switched to the new system.

Pros

Free. Great starter software for primary care offices. MIPS and Macra compliant. Has a lot of features which are great especially for a free software. Pretty easy to use, I had no training and could function daily.

For a Free EHR it has many functions. It is easy to learn to use. Sharing of templates.across users is nice.

Cons

My biggest complaint is there is not a way to truly gear towards mental/ behavioral health work flow. Can be adapted with development of some templates.

Pros

Work flow is quite good. We've had a great experience with documentation and the interface with our independent third party billing system.

Cons

Practice Fusion has chosen to partner with Experian for the purpose of login verification. Experian is a credit reporting agency that generates data based on consumer trends. Practice Fusion has made it mandatory to divulge your social security number to Experian and allow a complete personal credit profile. If you refuse, Practice Fusion will penalize you by not allowing you to use e-prescribing. In addition to the loss of e-prescribing, your online scheduling and Rx refill capability are also disabled. I am an advocate of EHR and meaningful use, but I refuse to merge my professional and personal data merely for the opportunity to use Practice Fusion. It's unfortunate that Practice Fusion has chosen to force the hand of their clients in this way. My concern is mainly what will happen to my credit information a) with Experian and b) if and when Practice Fusion is sold to another entity. Simply put, I'm being asked to release my credit with no contract or assurance of where it will be used.

They don't have customer service, you can't reach them, never ... they don't response to email, call, facebook or any other way you trying to reach them, your system work or not they don't care
