### "I absolutely LOVE Practice Fusion!"

I bought another EHR a few years ago, but after training, it was still hard to use, so I didn't use it at all! I tried 3 different EHRs, but if was Practice Fusion that was the easiest and the friendliest. I started using PF full time 1 week after playing around with it and watching a couple of training videos on the site. I've introduced my colleagues to PF, and many of them are using it now. I even "train" my friends who want to use PF to make it easy for them to start! A lot of my friends refer to me as their PF IT!

Pros

FREE, ease of use, training videos on the website that anyway one access at any time to self-educate. I

Cons

That they do maintenance on thursday nights from 8-1. I wish that they would do maintenance around 1-2AM to 4-5AM on Sundays or something.... But thank goodness, they haven't had to be offline too often anymore

It is a very good product for the price. It is hard to find an EHR that is this intuitive and well thought out for the price. I

Pros

Practice fusion is a great EHR for the price. The layout is for the most part intuitive. It functions well for compliance with national mandates. The price is low compared to the majority of other EHRs.

Cons

There are a lot areas where I wish I could click less. I have not found the template portion of the EHR very easy to use. I wish you could have dropdown menus and be able to tab through multiple choices for easy selection.

Electronic transfer of charges to our billing program saves hours of charge entry per day. The MIPS and PQRS dashboards help track Medicare incentives.

Pros

I like that it integrated with Advanced MD for electronic charge entry. The MIPS dashboard is also very handy for tracking Medicare insentives

Cons

I would like to see a special place for phone notes, as it is we just document them in the messages but it makes it hard to go back and find phone notes when needed.

### "Rude and unprofessional customer service"

Looked promising when it was free of charge

Cons

Unprofessional and inappropriate customer service: I scheduled a 15 minute follow up call after a demo. The sales guy called me 18 minutes late (so technically after the call was expected to be over). No apologies or explanations. I had emailed him 10 minutes after the scheduled call time when I did not hear from him, no replies to that either. When I pointed out he was calling later than expected, he acted surprised, told me the call was scheduled for 12.15 pm not 12 pm. Of course it was not, and he did eventually apologize for the delay. Proceeded to make further snarky comments- including a comment about me going to the 'motherland for a month' when I asked whether a covering physician could have access to the EMR. I guess it's obvious from my accent that I grew up overseas. Regardless it was unprofessional and unnecessary to make that comment, especially when there had been no friendly conversation about my background etc. that would make it okay or relevant to bring that up. Further, when asked how long it typically takes to set up electronic prescribing, his answer was 'depends on how good you are at following instructions'. Verbatim. At this point I was quite taken aback by the snarkiness. He went on to elaborate how some physicians have 'sausage fingers' and are not able to follow instructions and that makes the process longer. I am thinking Practice Fusion does not care for new business? I tried calling their phone number only to reach a voicemail message.

Overall it was good, we stopped using it when they were going to start charging for prescribing and our office does not prescribe medication

Pros

I loved the ease of customizing templates for notes

Cons

We had issues with billing not being transferred and were not paid for many patient visits.

Our office is much more efficient!

Pros

We switched to Practice Fusion because we were seeking a EMR that had scheduling, SOAP notes, questions for patients, and everything else all into one software. Practice Fusion met all those needs plus more! It has an excellent user interface, easy to learn how to use, and is overall great!

Cons

Sometimes when you print pages from a patient's report the formatting isn't so great.

Pros

I love that this product can be accessed from anywhere at any time on any computer with an internet connection. It is very easy to use and easy to customize. I find that the ease of customizing the software is one of the best features for myself as a chiropractor using a software designed for medical doctors.

Cons

I wish there were more reports including patient demographic reports. I have a separate billing company, so I have not been able to combine Practice Fusion's features with a billing software yet. Because of that, when I want a patient list for a mailing or something similar, it is not easy to do unlike running some of the other reports that are built in.

This partially forced takover is unfortunate for those of us trying to reduce cost for our patients and provide better care. All scripts is solely interested I couldn't be less interested in All scripts. I'll go back to paper first.

Pros

Formerly free - relatively simple and easy to use. Now not worth the monthly cost - not even close.

Cons

Practice Fusion sold out on a promise it would always be free. After investigation, I learned why and understand ie. Govt legal issues expecting to cost millions. Having had many EHR/EMR over my 30 yrs practice, All scripts is needed of worst companies to deal with. Horrible support now evident with Fusion, click crazy environment. Uncertain what changes will occur with Fusion.

They will no longer be free. I have been trying to get the 30 day special to only pay lesser as they sent me a coupon to redeem. Thought I'd try for a year. Every time I click on the link, it says price which is more than the amount mentioned on coupon. I have called several times, no one ever available, no one returns my calls. Instead get emails with directions that also don't work. Worst company ever, don't pay for it. it was free but now will have to pay, not worth it. It was easy to escribe the EMR was not helpful but since it was free used it for prescribing. Now they want to charge and I cant even get help setting that up

Cons

It does not keep a current list of pts. If you havent gone into the chart after 3 weeks you have to search for patient by DOB. If you need customer support forget it.

Pros: It's free (so far), intuitive and easy to use, lots of help links and webinars, good flexibility in creating templates, good variety of templates already available, very good support that is responsive in a timely fashion, good reports that work for CMS ehr incentive program and meets Meaningful Use, database is managed off site so helps with some of your security responsibility. Cons: Database is off site so slight delay in accepting and processing data (not bad because entering data is done through a "static" version). Needs more functionality (company seems to be open to changes and asks for suggestions, but slow to implement) - too many clicks for certain features which delays data entry.

### "Great EMR....The BEST I have ever used"

Over the past 25 years I have tried almost a dozen systems in different settings. They all seemed to promise a lot, and delivered very little. I have used systems that cost over a million dollars for my small office, and many were tried in the $-$ range. I would gladly put Practice Fusion up against them all. It is great and it delivers exactly what they promise and they also provide the best customer support that I have seen in the EMR field.

The service. The ease of use. The comprehensive nature

We were able to satisfy the initial medical necessity requirement and collected the first incentive for the three doctors in the office. We need more help in pursuing the subsequent incentives for using the EHR.

Pros

Complete and very user-friendly. We have used this program since April of 2012 and it has served us very well. It is very easy to use. Even a newly hired staff can start using it right away.

Cons

The PA module needs to be repaired. It is frustrating. The member's ID should be automatically posted from the member's insurance profile. The phone number formatting and autofill should coordinate. The saving does not work so I have to start all over again.

It's a relatively easy to use EHR, especially for practices who don't have a lot of complicated setup and need something affordable.

Pros

Our billing company recommended this product to several of our offices who needed EHR but couldn't invest thousands of dollars. This was a great option for them at the free level. Now it is a paid subscription. It's still a reasonably priced version, but needs some enhancements to compete.

Cons

Getting help was complicated--and getting enhancements implemented was also complicated. We had several clients ultimately abandon it when it became paid because they could get more features with other platforms.

Pros

None. It’s meant for a startup to use until they can transition to an EMR with better capabilities. It reminds me of scheduling systems that hair salons use.

Cons

Everything! It’s not intuitive, horrible reporting, not good for multi provider practices, not user friendly from an administrative point of view, limited in so many ways it soul killing!!

Pros

Free but Practice fusion gets pain by vendors- xray, lab etc. they have e scribe which helped a lot and I did 95% of my prescriptions including narcotics but now I'm having a nightmare.

Cons

I'm getting used to it but if you have a problem they have the worst technical support- no one seems to know the problem- no supervisor to talk to, no one knows how to fix, updating a license expiration date will messed up your e scribe and NO ONE can help. They want to change your expiration date thats different from your actual expiration date is the only advise they can give you. What a nightmare!

I will continue to recommend this product unless I see a better one that is also free to use.

Pros

Most of it works well. They try to fix things and make them more user friendly. If you want a true review, don't ask people to make it a minimum number of characters. This is annoying. I wonder if this is eough characters yet. Don't make us work to appease you!

Cons

Patient communications don't get to me . For example, I don't get verification that they will be there for their appointments. Also they try to change data on their accounts that doesn't come through. Somethings about it are still a bit awkward.

Free Ease of Use Fast No down time

Pros

Ease of use and thoughtful time-saving features that help reduce aggravation. It's a well designed doctor friendly product that has taken some of the wrinkles out of the process without users always being aware of the behind the scenes effort. Fast and responsive.

Cons

Government reporting is not inclusive for all specialties. Not all possible MIPS measures are present.

Good product because it was free. Since I was not putting any money into the product, the company felt it should not have to put any time into providing in-house in service and education on the product. Which is too bad, because I would have liked to use it.

Pros

The product was free. The product had a lot of a lot of uses for my clinic. Electronic prescriptions.

Cons

Customer support was not very supportive. I had problems with e-prescription which were never resolved. The modules were okay. However, I wanted in-house training for me and my staff. I was told to watch the videos. Which means that no thought was given to the different type of learning styles that people have. Consequently, I had to find a different system that was responsive to the needs of my office and would schedule in-house training.

The program is very good helps the practice run smoothly, wish it had a option to block out holidays automatically each year. I think reports especially for annual visits needs to be worked on because I have noticed the amount of patients the report gives me is in accurate

Doesn’t have an option to block out holidays so it has to be manually entered. Reports aren’t accurate.

Easy to use, Erx, lab integration, scheduling.

Cons

Very poor customer support. The wait time for the call is a minimum of 1 hour!. Today they said they disabled their phone line due to high call volume. We have been trying to reach them for the past 4 days. Our practice manager now and in the past have not been helpful in resolving any issues either. Very frustrating to deal with PF.

Practice Fusion has allowed our small practice to quality for all of the insurance companies incentive programs with the Dashboard it makes it easy to know where we stand.

Hard to get things changed or added - program recommendations - interfacing.

I've used PF for about 4 years now and I can't take it anymore because it is so, so slow! Even with 60 Mbps service. I'm assuming because of the ads that must be loaded first before any of the content you want. And PF doesn't have insurance eligibility checking, an integrated fax, medication history from pharmacies, scheduled med prescribing, an integrated billing system, etc.

Pros

It's free and very simple to use.

Cons

Extremely slow, lacking many standard features.
