Pros Comprehensive plan & program templates that are easily customizable to fit the needs of our facilities - from regulatory compliance to contractor oversight. The layout is user friendly and intuitively easy to use. Great value for the money and their customer support is fast, friendly, and knowledgeable! Our field employees aren't computer savvy enough for this program. The program has lots of topics but there are limited amounts of trainings that apply to what we do. Pros Topic content is up to date and professional. The videos provide a clear understanding of the training topic. Cons This product is VERY expensive. Not as user-friendly as we would like. Their technical support was really responsive. Pros Intuitive technology, state of the art forms and superior customer service. Their system admin support area is easy to use. Sure its inexpensive but one reason we chose this was our old system was outdated VHS tapes from the same company. Right after we purchased there is a new option called Basic Safe which you should not have to pay extra for; should be all inclusive. Pros It was inexpensive. It has a place to store and research what pages you can use to start building a safety manual; if needed. It does have the tool box talk pages and you can get assistance from other safety experts regarding questions about OSHA laws. They will give you the link to the citation. Cons The training aspect. The videos were cumbersome to look up. Then once bookmarked you cant just download onto your own computer for a quick and dirty way to keep training straight. There are also too many options on the training subjects. If I am looking for lock out tag out then just give me one option per say - not three. The system was relatively easy to use and had decent content, but eventually we moved away from it due to costs and finding something that worked better for our site. Pros Long videos that covered OSHA required safety training. Large selection of toolbox talks and various topics that cover a wide selection of industries. Cons Some of the videos were old, lethargic, and had outdated, irritating, and repetitive background music. In EHS, products come and go but after many years of success, we will not change. Pros A great value for the money. Tremendous customer service and support team. EHS Hero is very easy to utilize across any organization. The Form creation option is a huge benefit for compliance regulations. User interface and contractor management is a significant benefit. There is much broader coverage of state regulations and the resources available have been greatly expanded and are easier to access. Pros Comprehensive coverage of state regulations, which is a great improvement over the old EnviroBLR. Direct connection to regulations. Much improved user interface. Cons Two step log in when you hit a link. Log in credentials should be embedded in original email to allow quicker access. I also find the industry news helpful for a quick glance at what is happening every day. Cons There are so many resources, it can be overwhelming at first but they offer training and are available for questions if you need help. Cons I don't have issues. Since we are a large company, we don't have as much use for the examples and templates, but I can see how useful they would be to a smaller company. I know it sounds like a sales pitch but it did work as sold. Pros I used basicsafe on a daily basis for six years. The format is easy to use and enabled my company to totally eliminate all hardcopy procedure manuals, sds sheets and forms. Nice huh. Our five location remote facilities staff was able to bring up the most current procedures, regulations and forms. Training was easy for all from office to floor. If they have a smart phone they will be able to use this software. Bonus- AIB , USDA and customers all appreciated the ease of finding documents too. We expanded it into using for audits, work orders and corrective actions. Quality product. Cons Needs better ability to bring large photos into it. I used to have an employee newsletter that I can customize and now that feature is gone with the money we paid. I thought we paid for the same service I had with Safety BLR. Now I pay the same price with fewer features. Pros None, when being a user of SAFETY BLR for years and compare to EHS HERO. Cons SAFETY BLR was easier to navigate much clearer for finding things. This EHS HERO is terrible and it takes longer to download material. Reason for choosing EHS Hero I have been a user of SAFETY BLR for many years and enjoy the service. I got in EHS hero because SAFETY BLR was converted to this EHS hero, and I was told it was the same thing and better, but this is not true it is terrible compared to Safety BLR. " October 6, 2017 5.0 Easy for operators to find the LOTO checklists. Pros In the LOTO Module, the ability to add photos to the LOTO checklist. The ability to search for equipment names in the LOTO module makes it much easier for our operators to find the checklists. Cons We can't upload our current checklists into the system, we have to start from scratch, but that's more because of our current checklist system rather than an issue with BasicSafe. October 5, 2017 5.0 Time saver! All safety items in nice and neat bundles. Pros It's easy to use; even for folks who haven't used computers much. I like the follow up training for each tool, great way to remind folks of the features in each tool when they might have forgotten. Cons During a search in the incident tool, once you've clicked into an incident and you try to go back to the search screen/info on that screen, it disappears. You have to re-enter the search.
