It’s a highly stable and professional platform we trust for IT and pharma events, from product launches to roadshows. Support can be slow, so we rely on the Community first, but the system itself has never failed us during an event. Great value if you use it fully and invest time in learning it. Pros The registration system and post-event follow-up tools. We love how easily we can track attendees, filter qualified leads for our clients, and send automated surveys. The email and website builder is also super intuitive—very visual and fast to work with. Cons The learning curve. Cvent is packed with features, but it takes time to master. There are constant updates and new tools, so you really have to stay on top of training. Also, the cost is high—especially for teams in Latin America. Eventtia is much more affordable and faster for basic events—we can set up a registration in minutes, which is great when time and budget are tight. Cvent, while far more powerful and professional, takes longer to configure. Even when cloning events, there’s a lot of manual setup, so sometimes it’s easier to start from scratch. The fact that everything from the conference website to the attendee list is available all within one space saves us time and effort again and again. Pros Cvent Event Management is a tool that streamlines all of my event's most important elements - an event website, attendee list, reporting features, badge printing and so much more. Cons There are some features that take some time and research to fully understand how to use to the fullest capability, but I have found both the Cvent Community and Cvent support to be invaluable in helping ensure I overcome any issues I encounter. Cons The cons of Cvent Event Management are fairly limited, but there are areas where the platform could be more efficient. I do feel like the sales reps (during your software search) sell you "a lot," only for many of those features not to have been past Beta testing or not to be available yet... so that's a bit misleading. We did struggle with features not working on 'Game Day' and not being able to get ahold of our support team member, but I do think that was likely due to the time zone differences. Pros While my company utilized this platform for our one big event, which we hold every year, I felt the all-in-one user interface was a significant aspect to include in the package. Keeping each feature internal made my job easier in the long run. Cons I do feel like Cvent could have improved their ease of use throughout the app, perhaps automating a few more steps, or even considering restrictions and required portions so that vendors using the Exhibitor Portal stayed honest within our tiered offerings. I do wish their customer support team were more readily available. Oftentimes, we would get set up with a team member, and they would either leave their role before our event or be out of range if we needed them in the moment. Not very reliable. I am certified in Cvent Classic and am very excited about being signed up to get certified in Flex today! Pros I love that we are able to customize meeting builds. I also love that if there is something you want to learn how to do or if you need to troubleshoot customer support is available. Cons I wish the cvent library worked the same way it did in the classic version. Pros Cvent Event Management offer an expansive list of tools and resources for building out and executing an event from early planning to post-event wrap up. Cons Because of the expansive amount of tools offered, the learning curve is very steep as the platform isn't always intuitive. I find with enough clicking around, I tend to get to where I need to be, but occasionally it is not always evident. This makes it difficult when onboarding new members of my team as it takes many months of continuous practice and real life application to truly get comfortable with the platform usage. Throughout that time, I've shopped competitors to see if we need to go elsewhere. Time after time, Cvent has been the only platform who could meet our needs at a competitive price. Well, not just at a competitive price, but AT ALL. Overall, it's been a very positive experience. Support is super-quick and our account rep and client success manager have always been very knowledgeable and on top of things. I really don't see us ever leaving them for a different events platform at any point in the future. Pros It's got a TON of flexibility that will fit just about every use case. The pricing is really good compared to a lot of other platforms. Cons Sometimes you have to do workarounds for things that should just be normal features, such as adding images to the session descriptions. We can then do post-reg reports, follow-ups and cross-event attendance analytics with ease. Cons Sometimes the need to create custom fields or the understanding of how to 'register on behalf of someone'. The one thing I think we dislike the most is if during set up you create a mandatory checkbox question (i.e. agree to our Terms and Conditions) you can't just edit the text if you find a typo, you have to delete it and start over.
