It covers every thing from planning & sourcing to registrations & agenda to event app & surveys and post-event content. Cons There are a lot of setting and configurations at every stage of your event lifecycle. If you want the system to behave a specific way, it usually can be configured but you many need to dig into the application. It takes some time to learn where all the settings are located. Although each tool can be used in different ways depending on the specific needs of an event, it is helpful to understand the core functionality and the foundation of each one. For example, the pricing tool can be adapted and configured in different ways depending on the requirements of the event. Cons It probably just shows you the way the tool is normally used, particularly for most hotel reservations. However, I think it could be expanded to better accommodate larger-scale events like the ones we manage, where the requirements can be more complex and may need greater flexibility. I’ve used it for nearly a decade across two organizations and most recently for our R-CON: Digital Twins and R-CON 2026 conferences. It consistently provides a reliable, engaging platform for attendees and a robust management system for planners. It has allowed us to elevate the attendee experience, streamline communication, and gain insights we couldn’t capture otherwise. While there’s always room for flexibility improvements, Cvent remains one of the most comprehensive and trusted tools for managing complex, multi-day events. Pros The Attendee Hub creates a professional experience for both in-person and virtual attendees. I love how intuitive the interface is for navigating sessions, speakers, and exhibitors. The engagement tools—like live Q&A, polls, and discussion features—help drive audience participation and make hybrid experiences more interactive. From an organizer’s perspective, the analytics and post-event reporting are incredibly valuable for tracking engagement and improving future events. I like that the after sessions are recorded, they are available in the on-demand library. Cons While the Attendee Hub is a powerful platform, it isn’t always as intuitive as it could be—some features take time to learn or require extra steps to configure. I also wish there was more flexibility to customize the page layouts and visual design so we could fully match our branding and create the exact look and feel we envision for our events. Pros It's turn key. It makes the process very seamless once you are well versed in the platform. I am still a novice to what Cvent can do to ease the process. Grateful for the opportunity to attend Cvent Connect and learn so much more. Cons No Cons yet, but I will say the widgets for every action is daunting. Overall, I felt like I could jump right in. My goal is to take what I have learned from Cvent Connect and make our registration even more customized for the attendee but simpler to manage for staff managing on the backend. I will also be utilizing Audience Segments in the future, so that we can push out customized messaging onsite to select people. Word to the wise - new Cvent users will learn tips and tricks by becoming Cvent Certified and attending Cvent Connect! Pros As a first-time user, utilizing this tool at a conference my company hosted allowed for quick, hassle-free onsite check-in. Attendees used kiosks to enter their name and their badge was printed immediately. The ability to create multiple registration paths allowed us to customize the attendee's experience from the moment they registered to first meeting them onsite. Cons We had multiple identifiers that indicated lanyard color, welcome message, and check-in gift (raffle winner, awards winner, speaker, etc.) but would like to explore how to make these distinctions even clearer for future events. While I'd love to see some improvements to some appearance issues, I think it's getting better every day. With the addition of the Cvent AI, this is going to be a must-have tool for any of our events. Pros Attendee Hub is a great resource for our registrants. We used the old mobile app, and this is a huge improvement. AttendeeHub simplifies session selection, and it also gives us tools to inform our guests of important information. Cons It's mostly session selection UI. I would like AttendeeHub on the computer to look the same as the mobile app. I would also like to be able to customize the look of the page more, mostly being able to make grouping of sessions more obvious like in the session widget in registration. It allows me to ensure I'm getting the information I need - and ONLY the information I need - from attendees without requiring them to provide unnecessary information. Cons It can be a little clunky to toggle from registration to registration when you are quickly trying to make mass updates. Additionally, I'd like to see some upgraded features when it comes to the email confirmation side - I can never truly see what my attendees are seeing unless I actually submit test registrations myself. I love how they are always coming out with new updates and staying up to date on the latest technological trends. Cons When the server goes down, it can be difficult to navigate around it. June 10, 2025 4.0 We enjoy the usage and data collection aspect, but the aesthetics can be challenging. Knowing how best to implement fonts, colors, where info lives, which buttons to press and where and in how many places. It can all be overwhelming and difficult to learn. Aesthetically, it's easy to make your reg site look unappetizing simply by not knowing how to use the tools provided. Pros I like that everything can live in one place. You can collect a lot of info and it's fairly simple for an attendee to use on the front end. Cons From a UX creator perspective, it can be clunky and difficult to navigate. There is a lot of information that lives in multiple places.
