Overall, the platform offers useful communication tools for medical office workflows, especially when staff need flexibility between desk phones and mobile/desktop access. However, the transition process and phone routing setup required troubleshooting and ongoing adjustments to optimize communication efficiency for our office.

Pros

Univerge Blue Connect offered flexibility by allowing staff to access calls, messages, and voicemails across multiple devices, including desktop and mobile platforms. It was helpful for maintaining communication within a busy medical office environment, especially when working between different workstations or remotely. The platform also provided useful collaboration and messaging features that supported day-to-day office communication when configured properly.

Cons

The biggest challenges involved the initial setup and ongoing phone routing management. We experienced occasional issues with voicemail routing, call forwarding, and outdated provider routing paths remaining active longer than expected. Some features also required additional troubleshooting and administrative adjustments to optimize workflow efficiency, particularly during transitions and office-wide communication updates.
