The app is great at centrally locating everything in one place, features such as the leaderboard really inspire colleagues to engage and challenge themselves/each other. The option to donate rewards to charity is also a big winner for us. Cons Only being able to see steps in a rolling 30-day period. Perhaps having the ability to see steps segmented by month, in addition to a rolling 30-day period would be great - but just a small thing! To improve the experience a better connection with Bupa would definitely help. Pros YuLife is simple to use from an administrators point of view. New members are quick to set up and the sign in process is quick and easy. There are lots of great resources on YuLife including posters and guides which made launching YuLife within our organisation very simple and effective. The chat function of YuLife is great they are extremely friendly and you can tell you are talking to a real person who is happy to help. All my enquiries using the chat feature have been resolved quickly. Cons YuLife's link with Bupa is poor, when I am setting a new user up with Bupa and I want this to be reflected within the YuLife app the process is complicated and takes a long time to be implemented. I also had to largely work out how to do this myself. The healthcareadmin@yulife.com email is very slow to respond and there is conflicting opinions about the information I should provide - originally I was told I just had to send the new joiners details, and now I have to send a full members list each time? I have also not been impressed with the service provided by YourHalo, we had an employee seek their help due to feelings of worry and they were turned away even though this should be covered by YourHalo? Although I have launched a complaint regarding this and the customer service of YuLife in facilitating the complaint has been very good. Review Source EK Eva K. " July 28, 2022 4.0 The overall experience with YuLife has been very positive, from the implementation to the use. It's an intuitive app that can provide benefits in a fun and engaging way without causing negative competition. Pros The app is a lovely way to create or benefits from your already existing healthy habits. As a team that walks a lot, it's great to get the reward for this. The integration of cycling was a nice additional feature. Surges are a fab way of increasing engagement. Cons I understand additional levels are being developed, but I achieved Level 199 about 4 months ago. It would be great to get more levels soon. I would also love to widen the types of challenges, including cycling, yoga and other sports. It would be great to get an email about surges and new rewards. Pros I love the daily incentivisation to actively think about my physical and mental health. The App is easy to use and simple to explain to others the benefits of it. Our team has a high degree of utilisation and at around £100 per team member per year, does offer good value for money. Cons The tool can feel a little repetitive, I'd like to see some new games, various fitness trackers etc. Whilst the act of pysical and mental health doesn't get boring of course, the App is lacking in a wider range of sports, mental puzzles/games etc that if continued to grow would keep engagement higher. October 2, 2025 5.0 Our team engagement has been great on the app, everyone can see the benefits that having YuLife offers, as it has something for everyone in it. It does a good bit of HR work for me which I am very grateful for, and the financial security and benefits are a total bonus. Pros It's user friendly platform and extensive offerings of activities and rewards make it the best company benefit we offer. The customer service and support has always been top tier, from occasional account manager calls and speedy chat pop ups. It's helped engage our team in more fitness and keeps up friendly competition and recognition between employees. Cons As a small business I don't always have time to keep up with so much of all the new features. So sometimes I'm guiding teams to help and hope that it is the best and right things on the app to direct them to. I learned it by myself and a training with Berenice and then was on to engage 350 people with it! It's not all of em, but i got most of em! We do company wide competitions, everyones always comparing the leaderboards. it's a blast Pros I love that its so easy to use on a daily basis. Easy to engage with others at work whether theyre competitive or not. Love that there are fun rewards from it and its something fun to work towards Cons I hate that once you hit a certain level, all long walks are 3,500 steps. I love doing that while walking my dog but at that rate he doesn't have time to stop and poo! haha . It is also a really holistic wellbeing solution and supports all areas of wellbeing. The HR/admin dashboard is really useful and easy to use too.It promotes healthy habits and there is something for everyone with varying levels of activity and mindfulness exercises as well as access to discounts and even a Free Will writing service! We spent a long time considering options; I have not regretted the decision to work with YuLife and would recommend to others. Pros Easy to use with a choice of rewards for completing challenges like Yuduko or workouts, encouraging our teams to form healthy habits. Our teams like the healthy competition that comes with the leaderboards and they enjoy creating personal avatars. The virtual GP service is easy to use and has been effective. The link to BUPA works well. The benefit has been well-received overall and the gamification element makes YuLife different to other wellbeing programmes. Cons I have heard that an employee was unable to gain access to the course of counselling sessions which is a concern as we'd advertised this as a key feature of this wellbeing benefit.
