Back then outstanding software with outstanding support. Now under Trimble, Procontractor is just one of many. Price increases and service, reliability has plummeted. Pros Complete package. Estimating, Project Management, Finance, Employee, Resource management all in one package Cons We were pushed to the Cloud. Their "System" is down at least once a week. Typically for several hours. This program is truly awful. I would not recommend Cons Everything. The Customer Services is a JOKE. My program kept closing every time I ran a report. I opened a ticket on Nov 12 and still on Dec 27 no one has called me back. I've made at least 6 calls to their customer service for help each time waiting on the line for almost 30 min. If you can't get help with installing the product, how can you have a good perception of it? Pros Seems to be a good program for Construction estimating, etc. Cons Technical Support- Very poor, very slow to respond to my request. When they did respond, I requested an estimate of billing time it would take to help me install the product. I had a case number but instead of giving me the estimate they terminated my case due to lack of response. Became a master user quickly, and now I get calls frequently with how to questions. Recently I have began using Spectrum too which is also a viewpoint product. I still hands down prefer Procontractor! Pros Procontractor is very user friendly. Has an ease of functionality. Cons The time it takes for certain reports to run, when you host your own server. I can hand write POs faster than your stupid software. Pros There are no pros. Cons You software is trying to be everything to everyone and is nothing to no one. Your estimating module is weak. I have to manually print each PO - at least 9 clicks. Brilliant thinking, folks. I could 20x estimate faster 25 years ago. In addition it is slow and unstable. Support is a joke. My payroll is 100x harder because nothing ever fully or correctly imports over. The app constantly glitches and has to be deleted and reinstalled. Unable to open plans in the field that are supposed to be viewable. ProContractor itself is not user friendly at all and the reports are generally not helpful.
