### "Leading Enterprise Monitoring solution"

July 10, 2026

5.0

Overall, we are satisfied with this product. Its a comprehensive enterprise monitoring solution with deep drive monitoring functionality.

Pros

The graphical representation of traffic whether it is physical interface or virtual. The trends to view the graphs is really amazing.

Cons

The credentials addition feature like SNMPv3. When we try to add devices other than Cisco, we need to do some modifications in the snmp credentials.

### "Solid, Affordable Monitoring That Gets the Job Done Without the Headache"

May 24, 2026

5.0

Overall, ManageEngine OpManager has been a dependable and cost-effective monitoring platform for our environment. It covers infrastructure and network devices well, integrates cleanly with our ITSM and CMDB tooling, and the support team has been consistently helpful. A practical, reliable choice that delivers good value without overcomplicating things

Pros

The platform delivers broad infrastructure and network device monitoring, solid SNMP support, decent customisation, and reliable ITSM integration. Paired with responsive customer support and a reasonably manageable learning curve, it feels like a well-rounded, practical tool that a lean IT team can realistically own and operate without being overwhelmed at a price point that genuinely makes sense for the business.

Cons

The learning curve can be steeper than expected initially, particularly around fine-tuning SNMP monitoring profiles and customising alert thresholds for diverse device types. Security configuration and role-based access setup takes deliberate effort to get right. Deeper asset and device management customisation can push toward addon modules.

Reason for choosing ManageEngine OpManager

ManageEngine's ecosystem also played a role. Having monitoring sit within a broader suite of IT management tools that integrate natively with each other - and connect cleanly to our ITSM and CMDB tooling - was a practical advantage over standalone monitoring products that require more integration effort and middleware to achieve the same outcome.

### "OpManager - Overall Good Tool"

April 30, 2026

3.0

Overall, great product for the money. The ability to have SNMP monitoring and see all of our assets is extremely helpful. I would like to see the ability to manage all of the tools from one interface though.

Pros

OpManager is easy to quick and easy to setup and manage. The interface is good and creates the necessary reporting to get started

Cons

The reporting, the sensors need more options and the ability to customize more the email reports. Also, need to make it easier to pause a sensor.

### "Positive Yet Practical Review of OpManager"

May 26, 2026

5.0

My overall experience with ManageEngine OpManager has been quite positive. It delivers excellent value for money with robust device management, reliable SNMP monitoring, and solid asset management, along with good security features. However, it has a noticeable learning curve, and customization and configuration can be complex and time-consuming at times.

Pros

What I liked most about ManageEngine OpManager is its excellent device management, proactive real-time performance tracking across networks, servers, VMs, applications. It provides reliable SNMP monitoring and also provides solid asset management, and good security features, making it very effective for keeping track of our entire infrastructure. I also loved the User-friendly interface and customizable dashboards

Cons

What I liked least is the steep learning curve and the time-consuming customization and configuration. While the features are powerful, getting everything properly tuned requires significant effort, especially in the beginning, also alerting system is powerful but can generate too many alerts.

June 9, 2026

5.0

My overall experience with ManageEngine OpManager has been highly positive, providing a dependable and cost-effective infrastructure monitoring environment. Once the initial configurations and SNMP thresholds are dialed in, it acts as a stable and reliable platform for proactive fault detection. It effectively unifies our physical, virtual, and server infrastructure into a single pane of glass, dramatically improving our network uptime and operational efficiency.

Pros

Robust Multi-Vendor SNMP Monitoring Visually Clear Dashboards ITSM Integration & Automated Workflows

Cons

### "Strong monitoring tool with setup hurdles"

June 18, 2026

5.0

My overall experience with ManageEngine OpManager was a mix of strong functionality and some frustrating limitations.

Pros

The standout feature of ManageEngine OpManager is its ability to provide comprehensive, real-time network and server monitoring with proactive fault detection and easy-to-use dashboards, making it especially valuable for IT teams managing complex hybrid environments.

Cons

The least liked aspects of ManageEngine OpManager are its complex setup, limited cloud support, confusing pricing, and performance slowdowns on very large networks. These drawbacks make it harder for IT teams to scale or deploy quickly despite its strong monitoring capabilities.

Switched from

[Office Chat](https://www.capterra.com/p/226272/Office-Chat/)

The dashboard in ManageEngine OpManager is not considered “critical” because it mainly serves as a visual layer for monitoring rather than being the engine that drives alerts, fault detection, or automated actions. The real value lies in OpManager’s monitoring, fault management, and scalability features, while dashboards are more about convenience and presentation.

### "OpManager Review"

June 4, 2026

5.0

Overall experience has been really good however, it would be better if some of the features could come as part of OpManager base license such as Application Manager , IPAM etc.

Pros

1.) OpManager GUI is really good and the UI is very easy to manage. 2.) Support is also good and we get back a response quite quickly.

Cons

1.) OpManager does not support VPN tunnels monitoring using SNMP. We have to configure the alert using Regex pattern.

### "Very usefull and practical software"

June 16, 2026

5.0

It was very easy to setup and configure all the componets. Alerts were easy to setup up. We have the business view maps displayed on a 15" TV in the office.

Pros

Opmanager overall does what I need it to do. For the price the software can do so much. It is not just a monitoring tool. We have Opmanager intergrated with Servicedesk Plus and Log360. We can get an email for just about any alert.

Cons

I guess the only thing I would chang is the interface could be updated but I am more concerened with what OpManager can do and the price.

### "OpManager is a winner in the System Admin space"

January 26, 2026

4.0

Overall, I am very happy with how ManageEngine OpManager makes my job easier, it gives a single pane of glass for monitoring and detecting outages. It increases the IT Departments productivity by being able to react and respond quicker to and detected issues.

Pros

The ease of deployment was a big perk of OpManager, the agents are easy to group and deploy based on Organization Departments or other identifiers like system name, or other system values. The UI is very intuitive and easy to navigate, with custom dashboards being one of my favourite features.

Cons

If I had to choose one con, it would be the on-going maintenance of detected systems where agents are or previously were installed, specifically in the case where a system has been renamed, it doesn't always clean up the old record in a timely manner, leaving duplicate entries for the same system.

### "Is OpManager for you?"

April 2, 2026

4.0

It has been a good experience. It takes a little bit of time to get things fully configured and get rid of the false negative monitoring. It is definitely easier to manage and a better value than our previous PRTG deployment.

Pros

Ease of use and setup. Set up a dashboard and map without much effort. I like being able to view servers by application and being able to get more info on the apps. Agent is not required.

Cons

Status reporting is mixed. Servers show needs attention because manufacture name changed on VM. Basic login and SNMP discovery would not resolve the issue. The only real fix I found was to deploy the agent. Security scoring is a bit confusing. I would like to be able to see what is missing from the scoring to be able to improve the overall score.

### "Reliable Network Monitoring with Room for Improvement in Meraki Integration"

April 17, 2026

4.0

Overall, my experience with ManageEngine OpManager has been positive, particularly for SNMP monitoring and traditional network infrastructure. It performs well in device monitoring, asset management, and network performance tracking, helping in proactive troubleshooting and minimizing downtime. The customization and reporting capabilities support operational needs, and once configured properly, it becomes a stable monitoring solution. However, in environments with cloud-managed solutions like Cisco Meraki, some limitations exist in terms of deep visibility and real-time insights. Despite that, considering its cost-effectiveness and core monitoring capabilities, it remains a practical and reliable tool for network operations.

Pros

What I like most about ManageEngine OpManager is its strong SNMP-based monitoring and centralized visibility across network devices. It provides reliable monitoring for device availability, interface utilization, and performance, which is very useful in day-to-day network operations. The device management and asset visibility features are also helpful, allowing us to maintain an inventory of network devices and track their status from a single dashboard. Additionally, the customization options for dashboards, alerts, and reports make it easier to align monitoring with operational requirements. From a cost perspective, it offers good value for money compared to other enterprise monitoring tools.

Cons

One of the main challenges with ManageEngine OpManager is the learning curve, especially during the initial setup and when configuring advanced monitoring or integrations. Proper tuning of alerts and thresholds requires time and experience. In terms of cloud and modern network environments like Cisco Meraki, the tool has limited native integration, and deeper visibility often depends on APIs, which adds complexity. The alerting system can also generate noise if not fine-tuned. From a security perspective, while basic role-based access is available, more advanced security controls and granular access management could be improved.

### "OpManager: A High-Performance Device Monitoring Solution."

March 27, 2025

4.0

It's been a truly excellent tool - straightforward to use, simple to configure and implement. With its help, I can monitor all of my devices with ease. Honestly, I couldn't be more satisfied as a customer. It really has been a lifesaver, saving me considerable time when it comes to troubleshooting and locating the Root Cause Analysis. It's just a brilliant tool for managing our systems effectively... Thought you might appreciate the tip!

Pros

This software solution has proven to be incredibly stable, able to upscale according to our growing needs. It has superb integration capabilities when it comes to network and application monitoring. Moreover, its alerting feature is top-notch, providing immediate notifications to administrators prompting timely actions, ensuring our system's optimal performance

Cons

First, it's not as accurate as we need for Linux server management. We've tried to fix this problem by implementing inode script monitoring, but it's not performing to our desired standards. Additionally, it's falling short in the area of storage level monitoring. The absence of deeper functionality on the server itself is somewhat concerning. This strikes me as an element that could be improved upon and open up a whole array of opportunities for seamless server management. I also wanted to touch on the licensing and pricing aspects of ManageEngine OpManager. It's quite confusing and seems rather high. If we could somehow reduce these costs or have them adjusted proportionately, it would be more comfortable from a financial standpoint. Another noteworthy issue is the setup. It isn't as intuitive as we would like, and demands the hand of a knowledgeable technician for optimal configuration. A more user-friendly setup process would be a significant asset, in my opinion.
