UI is significantly faster than our previous solution. Pros Very easy to sue compared to the competition. It was a fairly smooth ride from setup to the GUI access. There is an option or a solution for almost anything related to device management and customization. We were able to implement the whole solution with minimal training. Not a steep learning curve at all. Cons So far I haven't found anything major that could affect the decision of replacing our existing network monitoring solution with Opmanager. We previously used PRTG but that suite was very expensive. OPManager has many possibilities (more than PRTG provides) and at a fraction of the costs. We started with ManageEngine Endpoint Central a few years ago and later extended this with ManageEngine FileAudit Plus. Recently the OPManager was also purchased for monitoring. We are very satisfied with all these tools. The support is also very good. Pros Great value for the money Customization (dashboards, NOC view, etc.) Alerting (many choices) Task scheduling on a specific trigger/alert Cons Cannot really think of any negative points at the moment. If you are used to PRTG then the look and feel of OPManager is very different. You will get used to it. I would like something similar implemented and readily available at all times in the UI. It takes a little bit of time to get things fully configured and get rid of the false negative monitoring. It is definitely easier to manage and a better value than our previous PRTG deployment. Pros Ease of use and setup. Set up a dashboard and map without much effort. I like being able to view servers by application and being able to get more info on the apps. Agent is not required. Cons Status reporting is mixed. Servers show needs attention because manufacture name changed on VM. Basic login and SNMP discovery would not resolve the issue. The only real fix I found was to deploy the agent. Security scoring is a bit confusing. I would like to be able to see what is missing from the scoring to be able to improve the overall score.
