We look like rock stars, saving the company a huge amount of money. We get 95 percent of the features from our old software, and reports are much better than our old solution. We even made a customized interface for VPs to give them a quick look at system health. Pros We were priced out of some competitive software. The value of the product is the biggest draw. The product is also very easy to setup. We had it up and running in two hours, and it started alerting us. we had the entire team on the other product for setup and now we have two people taking point. Cons Learning a new product is always a challenge. OPManager does things differently from what we are used to. we also experianced some bugs in the demo build we started with. Be sure to take a full product tour with one of there support agents before you try to set it up on your own. Some bugs with pages breaking after applying changes but nothing a page refresh cannot solve. Pros I like the extensibility of the platform. Clearly the team has spent some time asking the right questions about what an observability platform should look like. Cons The naming conventions and layouts are not exactly intuitive. You should expect to learn the OpManager way of setting things up with templates. Alot of these templates are pre configured with monitors that may or may not fit in your environment. A few quirks but overall its an amazing product. The fact I could log in with no training, get the system set up and see our entire system in a couple hours is amazing. Pros Fast and easy to start, Up and running in minutes with vision into the network. Was vastly superior in easy of use to Solar Winds and a much better value for the money. Customer support wasn't even needed for setup, but was very quick to answer our request for assistance. Cons There appears to be a few bugs in the "Mapping" areas. This required me to restart the map I was drawing and lost some work, but now that I know there is an issue the workaround is easy.
