### "You get what you expect"

Adobe Acrobat gets the job done, and pretty much owns the PDF space

Pros

Fantastic tool that makes accessing, editing, and reading pdfs easy.

Cons

Adobe tends to make their products/suite full of bloat, and licensing is not fun.

### "Adobe Acrobat is ... Alright"

April 10, 2025

3.0

Overall, my experience with Adobe Acrobat is average. It is nice that you can customize text, fonts, add/upload images, and other creative assets to build a report or high-profile document.

Pros

Adobe Acrobat is useful for manipulating imported documents and files and customizing the look and feel of reports based on your preferences.

Cons

Sometimes, the program gets "glitchy" and will not let me edit elements right away. Sometimes I have to hit "Save" and it will let me move forward.

### "Classic option: Good for basics, Pro version needed for many tasks"

November 9, 2024

3.0

There’s a pretty big difference between paid and free, and it is more of a gateway product. Once you start getting frustrated with its limits, you tend to need to more to another tool. However, it does have more options than most standard pdf editors.

Pros

I would definitely say Adobe is the original standard for a PDF editor and signature tool. It’s powerful and can do a variety of tasks, including simple edits that prevent you from needing another solution. It’s less commonly used as a signature tool in my experience but for those smaller companies, it could be nice to avoid multiple softwares.

Cons

It feels overly expensive if purchasing solo and not as part of the cloud. I have ended up using other more cloud-based online services to save money on the monthly cost. It is also finicky to do some editing (i.e. it’s less good at formatting) better for filling in, removing pages, and signatures. You run into major limits unless you pay, and it’s annoying to use the free version once you’re used the full version.

Needed more editing functionality, and also ability to track signatures.

### "Adobe Acrobat Review"

I've used it over the last 5 years. I have had some technical issues with it saving files but overall was ok

Pros

ease of use is great. I think the ability to add text and read text need to be better, as Edge does a great free pdf editor built in

Cons

value for money is not great when you think of the other products out there

### "Adobe Acrobat Review"

April 10, 2025

Not good! I use it because I have to and I am sure there are many just like me in that position. Adobe updating this software would do wonders. It has a lot of promising features, but it's just so unintuitive and difficult to use.

Pros

It has some redeemable features. Creating editable PDFs is nice, and it's a better default PDF viewer than in a browser.

Cons

Very glitchy and difficult to use. Editable PDFs are nice once they are complete, but creating them is very tedious. For instance, if I have multiple questions with radio buttons, it's difficult to create new buttons that don't automatically sync with the last question. Opening files can be a disaster at times. Just unresponsive, even when I open them from Finder on Mac. Adobe's worst product by a mile. Slows down my computer, as well.

### "Industry standard but overpriced and unstable"

October 15, 2024

3.0

Acrobat is my power tool for document assembly and publishing. It is my standard format for all important documents for distribution and storage. I can secure the files with passwords, encryption, and server based tools. Nearly everything you want to do to a PDF that was generated with Acrobat \\ Distiller is possible with just a click, other converters may have less editability. However, it feels a bloated over the years and it is slow to load and the tools are not all unified from all the company acquisitions.

Pros

Fully featured, new ribbon toolbar, full document editing and vector support, export PDF objects with roundtrip to Photoshop and Illustrator, using Pro version allows extending of editing to standard PDF users, signatures saved in Adobe Cloud, OCR is accurate and has small file sizes

Cons

Very unstable, crashes a few times a week losing all changes, ongoing subscription fees are not reasonable when the features i use don't change, cannot open PDFs with Acrobat Standard without logging in to Adobe Creative Cloud which then requires an active subscription. I use two laptops and a PC each day, the license only allows two devices which is frustrating to log in and out constantly.

Overall, Subscribing with this apps really helps our organization to do lots of things faster than any other tools.

Pros

Super easy to edit, change data format, & organize data.

In general, using Adobe Acrobat is an amazing experience, it works across multiple platforms and very efficient for use.

### "Good but Could be Better"

June 2, 2025

4.0

Fair. Its a good product but can be improved. I think overall it works great but there are some features I wish were different

Pros

I like the ability to view and edit pdfs. I also like how user friendly it is. I can find the buttons I am looking for easily.

Cons

I wish it would open in the browser I am using, not in a separate program. Having to open a separate window doesn't feel as cohesive to my workflow as I would like.

Love it! I don't know what I would do without Acrobat. It's how we work on a daily basis.

Pros

Cons

You can't just edit anything but that's the point. PDFs are not meant to be redesigned.

### "Adobe acrobat is necessary to any business "

February 24, 2026

I have no complaints, it makes life easier when you can create any document as a pdf and share it with others.

Pros

You can convert any document you have to a pdf. Whether it is a word document, spreadsheet, power point, or image, also easy to sign documents as well.

Cons

While it does Prevent others from copying, editing, or printing your PDF content with the Protect PDF feature. It is a little costly for subscription.

### "A must-have for PDF management"

March 24, 2025

4.0

Adobe Acrobat is a reliable and professional tool for working with PDFs. Despite its cost, it remains the best choice for editing and managing documents efficiently.

Pros

Adobe Acrobat makes it easy to create, edit, and manage PDFs. The ability to convert different file types and add security features like encryption and digital signatures is very useful for business and personal use.

Cons

The software can be expensive compared to other PDF tools, and some advanced features are only available in the Pro version. It can also be slow when handling large files.

### "Powerful approach to PDFs"

July 10, 2025

4.0

Pros

I downloaded the free version of Adobe Acrobat for a fully-online class at my University. It was a sociology course in which we were required to annotate snippets from academic journals, using Acrobat's ability to connect margin comments to areas we highlighted. I found these tools to be super useful for marking up my assignments before turning them in, as my professor could just scroll through and check my work. Some of the PDFs were 50+ pages long, and it didn't cause any crash or clunkiness.

Cons

Although I had no problems working with large PDFs once they were loaded in, they did sometimes take a while to do so as the page count rose. The free version is limited, and there seems to be a lot of push in the direction to upgrade for more useful features.

### "An imperfect one stop PDF shop"

February 1, 2025

4.0

Throughout my administrative career this is often my first port of call for document management, but there are often instances when other specialists/professional software is just faster, more capable and easier to utilise.

Pros

Acrobat is a one stop shop for all things document management, I can organise, gather signatures, edit and share documents with relative ease.

Cons

There are a few editing limitations, a big one being that some pdfs can’t be edited at all, and the ability to redact is a real pain. There is no simple white out tool.

April 22, 2025

Pros

This will be your best choice for document editing through functionalities proposed. I use Acrobat to create documents for clients and with my agreements, they can make changes or just visualize

Cons

I didn't find an option to import my Photoshop or Illustrator design in one click. So they might think about this function, I don't even want to spend a lot of time to do it manually

### "Ottima piattaforma!"

November 8, 2024

5.0
