For the most part my experience has been a good one. It took some time to interact with Kinetic in a useful way but once I got there is was smooth sailing.

Pros

The flexibility to utilize the services we need without paying for "extra" add on options that don't serve our needs.

Cons

The learning curve was steep. It took a while to understand how to be use Kinetic and there weren't easily accessible instructions.

I use the Finance Management module the most. But it is easy to navigate to the other modules Sales, Service, Production, Purchasing and Exec Analysis.

Pros

It is very strong in the production side. We are a manufacturing business and it works well from entering the sale all the way to invoicing the clients.

Cons

They have so many modules that you need to add on that it can get a bit pricey. The report builder "BAQ" is way too complicated. It tends to freeze up occasionally when working with the AP apps.

My overall experience with Kinetic has been positive. I have used several of the more well-known ERP systems; however, they are more cumbersome to support both large project management and high-volume manufacturing environments.

Pros

Epicor Kinetic offers several advantages including: 1) It is very user-friendly. I was amazed at how easy it is to learn and navigate; 2) It is customizable. We have customized everything from the start up screen to the inner mechanics of the system; 3) It is easy to access - whether you are in the office or working remotely; 4) It supports both large project management and high-volume manufacturing environments.

Cons

Some of the features are quite different between the classic version and the new version of Kinetic. There is a slight learning curve to go from one version to another.

While sometimes ERP can feel like a necessary evil, Epicor Kinetic is mature, robust, extensible and proven. It should be a strong contender for any mid-market manufacturer considering a digital transformation.

Pros

Epicor Kinetic is a robust, mature ERP system that is continuing to innovate. The core function and structure is sound, included modules are robust, and there is a strong and growing architecture for extensibility & customization.

Cons

Many features have been added over the years, some via acquisition - not all are done well or at feature parity. The new UI still feels like it's in Beta, but all new features are developed for the new UI. Internal support is poor, but there is a strong consulting and user community that offsets that somewhat.

I think its great , I have been using this soft ware for a very Long Time

Pros

Being able to track parts through all operations and the short cuts Epicor has

Cons

Can be tricky when using transaction History

Pésima, por muy bueno que sea el software, si no hay una red de implementadores que lo dominen y no hay el respaldo del mismo desarrollador, se vuelve un gasto y un problema, más en el caso de Epicor que no es ni amigable ni intuitiva su interfaz.

Pros

Tiene muy buenas características, su MRP suena bien, el costo comparado con los grandes también es razonable más si esperas crecimiento.

Cons

Es tu problema hacer que funcione. En nuestro caso que tenemos varios procesos productivos, el implementador que nos recomendaron, que se supone que sabría, no supo y cuando buscamos el respaldo de Epicor México no se logró nada, nos dejaron con el problema y la inversión botada. Nosotros tuvimos que seguir buscando opciones y por nuestro lado buscar resolver. Parece mentira que un software americano y con una empresa de ese tamaño se desentienda. Yo no se para otras industrias pero al menos para manufactura y con la estructura que tienen en México definitivamente es un error adquirirlo.

Reasons for choosing Kinetic

Porque tiene muchas funcionalidades. En el caso de que crezcas de pocos empleados/usuarios a muchos el sistema es el mismo, no es como en SAP que si inicias con business one y creces, te empieza a quedar chico y cuando quieres migrar al grande es una implementación completamente nueva.
