It makes my job easy. I love that it tells me if I have already used an invoice number and how I can easily look on the ledger to check if I have already paid a bill. I also love that I can add my invoices and it populates my check template and I can print the information onto my checks from Realm Accounting. ACS/Realm Customer Service Reps are awesome. They are very knowledgeable and happy to assist. Pros I love how easy it is to use. It makes reconciling a breeze and we can print checks from Realm Accounting. It logs our payments and helps prevent duplicate payments. We are able to separate donations and offerings into different fund categories and write checks for money to come from particular fund categories. It makes accounting so easy. Cons I use the accounting side for accounts payable and for running reports. I have not found anything I don't like about it as of yet. Pros I do like the fact that this is true accounting software and that every transaction has to be accounted for and can not be erased. It is relatively user-friendly. Cons I do not like the reports section. I find it difficult to use and does not give us the values that we are looking for in reporting to our General congregation Reasons for choosing Realm Accounting We already subscribe to Realm for our church attendance. Good migration from ACS to Realm. For the most part, the layout and functions are well thought out. Cons There are some Accounting differences in Realm that we weren't expecting that caused a few errors. There is no feature for keeping the church calendar as a whole which forced us to use a separate program that does not interface with Realm. It is so easy and interacts with all our giving and other needs. I am so please we made the swich! Pros I like how the giving and accounting interact together. Cons The live person training is not good enough. We need more support than the online training offers. We had a online training thru video but it just didn't get what we needed. I would like to see ONSITE training put back in. With our previous system, we had quite a few accounts that were not properly being used or run throughout our budget. Realm Accounting pointed out these issues and made it very easy to set them up properly so they can be used in the manner we need. Cons The reports are difficult to pull sometimes with the specific information you are looking for. It also was an adjustment to understand the General Ledger Detail report and read the final total at the end of it. The tithing is integrated into the system, so you don't need to go in and manually enter them if you use their tithing program. The events section is always improving and adding in new features. They have lots of resources for people to learn about their product. Cons Having an accounting degree, the trainings can sometimes feel a little lacking. I've learned a few tricks but mostly self-taught myself their system. Our old QuickBooks did not integrate in so we had to manually add in all our accounts and vendors.
