Within less than 45 minutes i can create a very accurate price for any of my projects. Cons That there marketing meant i didnt find them earlier. Pros As an architect, BuildPartner has completely changed how I approach early-stage cost advice and tendering. The ability to benchmark costs in real time during design discussions is invaluable, helping me guide clients with clarity and confidence and keeping expectations realistic from the outset. The structured scope templates also make tendering far more transparent, ensuring contractors are pricing on a like-for-like basis. It’s intuitive, genuinely time-saving, and bridges the gap between design intent and cost certainty. Cons Occasionally, the interface can feel a bit rigid when you’re working on more bespoke, non-standard details. It’s clearly optimised for more conventional residential projects. I’d love to see more flexibility for custom elements or a faster way to add unique items without breaking the data structure. It's not so easy to start with but once you get the hang of it and understand what it does and how, it's a very useful tool. Pros Quite flexible and has a lot of good features, especially in the reports/exports. You can use pre-prepared templates and add your own dimensions if you don't want to go into too much depth, or add and remove items if you want more detail. Cons Takes a little getting used to. Pros It gives an assurance that all aspects, areas and processes of the construction process are covered. There is no worry that a potential unprofessional, awkward conversation will occur asking the client for more money. Or worse, having to cover additional costs ourselves! Cons Not applicable. I can price up projects much easier than using excel and having to find costs individually for each item and labour output for each task. Saves a lot of time that would usually be needed to price up projects. Pros Detailed information prepared on a schedule template ready to use. Ease of finding suitable tasks and labour and material costs within an expected range. The cost of subscription is incredibly cheap for the amount of information available.
