I’m extremely disappointed with this product and the support I received. They flat-out rejected my refund request without even considering any alternatives, which I think is very poor business practice. What makes it worse is that the renewal emails were sent to an inactive address — something they were fully aware of, as they even helped us regain access to the account that wasn’t being used. Holding onto a small amount of money at the cost of their reputation feels incredibly short-sighted. I wouldn’t recommend doing business with this company unless they seriously reconsider how they treat their customers.

Pros

Honestly, there are no real pros to highlight. The product itself is nothing special — it does what many others do, but at a higher price and with far less flexibility. There are countless alternatives on the market that offer better features, clearer communication, and far more transparent customer support. Even the basic user experience feels outdated and unnecessarily complicated. If you value responsive service, ethical business practices, or even just a straightforward refund process, I’d strongly recommend exploring other options before committing to this one. You’ll save yourself time, frustration, and likely some money too.

Cons

Terrible policies and bad support. The actual product is also subpar, confusing dashboard and bad UX

Awful. I’m so pissed. I have to reprint thousands of cards because they deleted my QR code and there is no way to retrieve it.

Pros

Made a QR code and printed it on thousands of business cards only for the “cache” to be deleted by accident by the site. Tried to speak to someone and , NOPE. ONLY A BOT.

Cons

No customer service. Unclear policies. They limit your use of the QR code and delete it whenever an account change happens. Wasted so much money.

There really wasn't anything to dislike. QR Code Generator was easy to use and functions as it should. With so many products that are similar on the market I recommend this one. I have used QR Code Generator for several different projects. It could not be easier. Just add your URL and they do the rest!

Pros

This App is so easy to use! I have used it on multiple projects and will definitely use it again!

Cons

I have no complaints about this app. The QR codes that it has given me are still working great!

Initially it was great. Now, we are FURIOUS with the company and will never use their services again.

Pros

I thought it was great to generate attractive QR codes quickly an easily until I learned that I would have to pay $119/year forever to keep those codes working.

Cons

At no time during the purchase process did QR Code Generator PRO mention that their codes would expire at the end of a year unless we kept paying and paying. It was not until the next payment came due that they warned us that all of our codes would expire unless we kept paying. Now, we have to throw away all our collateral and print new - or pay them forever. Isn't that called "hostage taking?!" Run! Do NOT use this tool!

I second the fact that QR Code Generator is highly deceptive. Save yourself time and find your QR another way (through Chrome share or another service). I refused to be forced to pay to keep my QR code valid, so I created little stickers showing my new (free) QR code and went back to all the same places that I posted my event flyers and updated them. It was a big hassle that cost me 5+ hours but I don't support deceptive businesses.

Pros

Easy to create a code. That's it. Nothing else to like about them.

Cons

I HATE this company because they didn't make it clear that I had to pay to keep my code active past the two week trial.

I truly like the way you can customize it to be whatever you need it to be. You want it to pull up a menu or take you to check out from your dinning experience or soon to by checking you out the grocery stores.

Pros

I used this software myself for a popup shop over the summer, It worked extremely well for payment & it's a software assistant. I have recommended my office add one on the back of card for patient feed back, convenient for the patient to leave a google review.

Cons

Right now I don't have any cons, it has worked well every time I've needed to use one.

Pros

Did what it was supposed to, nothing more, nothing less.

Cons

We used this company for a single QR code last year and had to enroll into an annual plan in order to do so. The QR code was used over a 2-day period at a tradeshow. The remainder of the last 363 days, it was never used. A year later, they charged our credit card for another $100 something dollars without notice, although the account was clearly dormant. When I reached out to them 2 days later to get the account deactivated and to a get refund their response was: "Like other subscription providers, we incur ongoing costs related to your accounts, regardless of its actual usage. Therefore, the subscription needs to be cancelled before the renewal date. We're sorry for the inconvenience, but we are unfortunately unable to issue a refund." In short, we paid for 2 years worth of this tool to use during 2 days. As an agency, we use dozens of subscription tools and have had times where we forget to cancel an auto-renewal but this is the first time that a company refuses to issue even a partial refund.

Horrible customer service Rigid in their responses claiming they are not trying to back you into paying for trying their product.

Pros

Easy to use BUT back they you into a corner with requiring w purchase.

Cons

You do not have rights to your QR code made during a free trial. They disable it after the 7 days and then when you have it printed tells you have to activate by purchasing an annual subscription (almost 200 dollars). When I asked for a refund They refused and said “they’re clear in the terms and conditions that the free trial QR code will no longer be active if you don’t pay” so there’s nothing really free about their free trial.

Poor experience. Do not use this company. Much better options available.

Pros

None. Nothing special and plenty of better options for much cheaper. Do not use this company.

Cons

They charge you an annual fee and will not give you a refund if you don't cancel before the renewal. Never had this issue with a software company.
