Pros

The easy communication of humanity support when needed for any clarification or help.

Cons

I've dealt with 4 different types of schedules that humanity accepts because every 2 Months it doesn't accept the format I used for the previous Month..which is very hectic to be honest. I don't know what is the actual issue with it..but the humanity support team never disappointed or failed to help greatly. Also because there is no bulk selection for deletion of staff/locations for example

Overall, my experience with Humanity is really positive. It makes scheduling easier and I am a visual person and the layout is really helpful and visually appealing. I also love how you can set a skill in certain employee profiles which helps you separate out your different categories of workers. Lastly, the help function always helps me when I have questions.

Pros

I like the user friendly aspects of the scheduling. Specifically, I like how you can create a shift and it automatically makes it a different color depending on the shift. I also like how you can set the shift to repeat certain dats of the week between certain dates. Really helpful and visually appealing.

Cons

Sometimes there is so much going on it is slow to load or see all on one screen. It is also a little hard to figure out the screens you need at times. However, the help function has always helped me when I wasn't sure about how to navigate something.

As a schedule it works great until a shift is added or changed.

Pros

Not much, I'm upset because of the lack of identifing information for a change to schedule.

Cons

When a text states your manager made an addition to my schedule, it doesn't give me any identifing information so I have to manually check a few months to find the change. Simply add the date of the activity so I can review the correct one.

Fantastic. I had a few questions in to support which were handled very quickly. If fact they followed up with me a day or 2 later to see if I had additional issues. Customer support is great.

Pros

I can view open shifts against my own upcoming shifts to determine which ones I can take. I can view my coworkers duty times as well. We work as a team understanding that when life happens we can quickly look in to the app and see who may benablento cover a shift. Planning out my time and various responsibikities in life is very important to me. Once I learned it it has been great and easy to navigate.

Cons

I would have appreciated a video training on the usenof the app. Having that would have helped me early on rather than asking other team members or support questions.

Overall Humanity is easy to use and works well. However, It was once down for 48 hours and should never have been unavailable for that long how do we run business without this? It is impossible!

Pros

The ease of use. Like the timeline of the logs. Like the shift history but it does not log the staff working the shift or taken out of the shift

Cons

When in position view the divider lines between rows and columns are so light you can barely see where one position starts and ends. Please make bolder. What are Ghost shifts? I do not see it explained anywhere. Colors for shifts need to be more distinct.

I think Humanity is a great program and enjoy working with it. other than the glitch issues once in a while it has been a pleasure to use.

Pros

Its flexibility in areas to personalize based off what the agency needs are. it is user friendly and easy to navigate. I also really like the chat option to assist with any issues and they are always resolved within minutes.

Cons

That it glitches often. this makes it hard to keep track of an accurate schedule when shifts/staff assigned to shifts go missing.

I liked how you can create multiple accounts to accommodate different provincial legislation requirements. ie. Overtime calculation

Cons

We could not add additional premium, calculation, but were able to add work units (manual entry).

I personally have used many different platforms and found this to be one of the most user friendly!!!

Pros

I love the ease of use. Even when we get new employees they say how user friendly it is. I also like that you have put in requests for time off it shows up and alerts me (since I am the one making the schedule)

Cons

That it alerts me that my shift is about to start, even when I am not even scheduled to work. Other then that it's great.

Overall my experience with Humanity has been positive. The team that is assisting with my configuration and implementation is very knowledgeable and professional.

Pros

Humanity is relatively easy to navigate. Once set up, it makes creating schedules a simple process. Some of the great features include alerts when there are conflicts and the ability to generate and print PDFs of the schedules. Humanity offers many of the features of modern SaaS applications (i.e., SSO integration, geo-tracking, mobile app, etc.).

Cons

I wish the online training and support resources were more robust. There is also a lot of configurations required to get the platform setup initially. The training provided by the implementation team could also be better. If I'd known in advanced, I would have purchased more hours to cover more comprehensive live training sessions.

It's easy to use but could use a few updates, I know there is a time clock, but we aren't allowed to use it. Maybe we can get a personal for our own use to manage the hours we work.

Pros

very easy to schedule my shifts and see what shifts I already have. I like the mobile app as well.

Cons

I wish it loaded a little faster, and took the shifts away that I can't schedule. Sometimes the shifts are still up even when I am not allowed to schedule them.

overall when our production schedule and assignments are rapidly changing humanity is too cumbersome and staff circumvent it as it is mainly used for payroll and the bulk of my employees are salary. when we review payroll data to determine project costs a salaried employee could've had billable hours at multiple sites but due to it needing two upper managers to coordinate a staff member changing sites it's not worth the overhead or time and we get inaccurate job cost data asa result.

Pros

easy to learn and use provides different visual aids for different scheduling purposes

Cons

lacks the billable vs non billable component that is key for construction cost control

Our facility has undergone changes and the new ownership does not use Humanity. I have been trying to sway them to switch back to it. Humanity was perfect for our staff scheduling. Made it so easy to see your shifts, the shifts of others (if those permissions were applied to your account), and had everything we needed. Very easy to schedule employees and input time-off requests. The design wasn't overly busy like some others can be. Perfect simple app to get the job done.

Pros

We used Humanity to schedule employees across four different facilities and many different positions. We only utilized it for shift scheduling. It was perfect for our needs. Very easy to schedule employees across all of the different positions and locations without mix-up. Facilities were color-coded for ease identifying staff. It would alert staff 24hrs before a shift. Staff could choose to have either their email or phone number listed on the app for other employees to contact them. I liked that because other services have an in-app messaging system and those can be buggy or overwhelming. Staff never had any complaints about it, and neither did I.

Cons

It could be hard to swap shifts between employees at times. I usually end up deleting the whole shift and rescheduling it altogether. Not terrible to handle.

The Humanity app has not just made my professional life more manageable, but it has also allowed me to have more control over my time. If you're looking for an app that can simplify your scheduling woes at work, I highly recommend giving Humanity a shot.

Pros

What I like is how easy it is to navigate! I also like how it convenient it is that it has an app, accessible anytime and anywhere.One feature that I appreciate in particular is the ability to trade shifts with my coworkers. Previously, this would involve a lengthy back-and-forth discussion, often leading to confusion and miscommunication. Now, with a simple tap, we can exchange shifts and the management can approve it almost instantly. The flexibility and convenience offered by this feature is invaluable to me.

Cons

It's a bit time-consuming if you have fluctuating availability. It's better if you easily copy and paste availability or set recurring availability patterns would save users a lot of time and avoid potential mistakes.

Overall, Humanity is an effective way to organize employee scheduling. It is extremely easy to pick up and use, and it allows employees to have a greater freedom over their shifts through the ability to trade. Although this process is complicated at first, it definitely gets easier as you use it. The reminders are useful, and help with timeliness for shifts.

Pros

My favorite thing about Humanity is that it is incredibly easy to view and handle shifts without actually having to talk to a boss in-person. This streamlines this process, saving time for both supervisors and employees. Additionally, it has a simple and intuitive user interface and I was able to pick up most of the features without any in-depth training within several weeks. I also like that it automatically reminds you that you have a shift coming up a day before and an hour before the shift starts, thus making sure that employees are less likely to miss or be late to shifts.

Cons

The process of trading shifts is difficult, and especially difficult on the mobile app. Additionally, configuring availability hours takes a long time, however this only needs to be done once, unless availability changes regularly. The mobile app is also hard to navigate, as some of the icons can get confusing, however you won't need to do much more than clock in and out using the app - the rest can be done easily on a computer.

### "Overall decent but lacks robust tools for WFM"

Pros

the UI is simple and clean with appealing and customizable colors, etc. user profiles are also clean & tidy without completely superfluous fields. they have a payroll estimate tool which we never used but i'm sure it's handy. adding or deleting shifts is very straightforward though at times, buggy. customizable views and filters make it easy to gain info at a glance - either week views or month views. there's all the basics like shift trades, clocking in & out, grabbing open shifts, setting recurring schedules, etc. reporting capabilities are again all the basics but not the most robust.

Cons

as our team grew we were very much in need of a forecasting feature to compare staffing the expected volume (call center environment). we started adding part-time team members who only worked 1-2 hours at a time or on completely varying schedules... executing this week over week was incredibly manual. only after we had already signed with a new company did humanity release a new feature that answered half this equation, which visually showed how many were on hour by hour (still very basic even when it was released). humanity just wasn't moving fast enough to meet our needs. CSM was very hands-off and when we did have calls with him they were very curt. (it's more of a self-service model)

### "Make Today's date a stronger yellow color"

When my staff or I am tired, we confuse this week with next week because the yellow color marking today's date is too weak a yellow color. Today's date needs to be a stronger yellow color so we notice it. I took a master's course in human factors in design from a current NTSB investigator. The course stressed that schedules, etc must take human factors into consideration. However, otherwise, Shiftplanning is a great tool. Just please stop your employees with egos from constantly changing Shiftplanning to look more "elegant." That is stupid management at the top. Confusing icons without visible descriptions have been added as well compared to the original version.

Pros

1) Power to add future schedules by using current ones. 2) Photo check in and photo check out feature. 3) Automatic emailing and messaging to employees of next shift. 4) Calculating out wages.

Cons

1) Too weak yellow color highlighting today's date in Shiftplanning window. 2) Increasingly confusing unmarked and nearly hidden icons and features icons placed all over the screen. Stop with all this increasing "elegance" to make it look more elegant. Makes it harder and harder to use. 3) High cost for a small business. 4) The Humanity phone app does more harm than good as it is designed now. Doesn't work. makes you waste valuable time, frustrating, buttons don't work, etc.

We used Shiftplanning for a little over a year, and we found the system to be somewhat counter-intuitive when constructing schedules. It took us over 2 days of concentrated efforts to set up our scheduling system in a way that worked for us (compared to the 20 minutes it took us to do the same through WheniWork). The most frustrating thing was the reports: if you wanted a simple summary of employees hours, it produced this massive report that couldn't be reformatted, and didn't fit when trying to print on legal paper (good luck with trying to print on an even smaller sheet of 8.5/11). We had many issues with the app-based terminals as well - there were quirky limitations that wouldn't allow people to log in from the terminal even after saving it to an IP address (we have a static IP address at the office network). It also "forgot" the authorizations for the terminal, and it was rare that things "just worked"

Pros

Pricing is pretty good. But when compared to other services, you're getting what you pay for.

Cons

User interface is more complicated than it needs to be, and when setting up a complicated shift schedule for multiple locations and positions at those locations, it took a lot of work to organize it in a way that worked how we wanted it to. Buggy apps / iPad terminals Frustrating reports. Difficult to print.

GREAT PRODUCT! I would recommend this to anyone who is short on time for scheduling. With text message and email communication, by just posting open shifts the schedule almost gets written by its self!

Pros

Mostly, I like the communication within all individuals linked to humanity makes it easy to generate weekly/monthly schedules and find accommodations for call offs. As a scheduler, being able to switch between position view and employee view, enables me to allocate shifts efficiently.

Cons

The only "con" i can really say is it does take alittle time to get use to navegating through the site.

### "Good communication platform"

It is fairly easy to use and set up, having notifications enabled on your phone though can get annoying with multiple staff responding to messages at all times of the day. It is your choice what notifications you get though.

Pros

Shifts posted and picked up quickly by staff that have notifications set on their phones. Easy clock in process.

Cons

On the app there is an option to add notes to your time schedule about missed lunch, or overtime for example. Unfortunately you have to be clocked in to be able to do it and many staff forget and have to ask an admin to add the note after the fact.

Pros

Humanity is awesome! It makes scheduling so easy. You can add employees availability, write shifts with built in breaks, and so much more. It's very user friendly and really easy to learn. Humanity also keeps track of historical data and has helpful reports to use in forecasting and budgeting.

Cons

One thing to note is that Humanity is constantly making updates. While that's not necessarily a bad thing (in fact, it's great that they continually improve), it can be a little excessive. Right when you get used to the last update, things change again, so you have to be willing to adapt a lot.
