Although it wasn't the greatest and was a little quirky, it still provided me with the outcome I was looking for so I'd use it again in the future for a similar need. Pros We were able to locate a job description that provided an excellent starting point for creating our own. There were a couple options that we were able to reference in order to compare which one would be most relevant to our search. Cons In order to do a search, you have to first create a search option, before you can actually perform your search. And although there were a couple options to choose from, there were not many in our search results. The job we were searching for was not out of the ordinary either, so I would have expected to find more results. And when we found one that was suitable, it was a little quirky in order to figure out how to download it. You will need to read quite a bit to receive the data points you require. It is a valuable resource, with comprehensive templates, articles and sample policies, all of which are customizable. The Handbook builder is intuitive and easy to use. We also subscribe to their Employment Law Letter for our state, and it is invaluable and a great tool to use to train supervisors! Cons I cannot think of anything! It is easy to use and has the information we need. I just love that it alerts us when a law has changed and our policy might need updating. Pros Managing state compliance and policy updates is made very simple by the system and allows us to have confidence that our policies are up to date. Cons I would love to be able to log prior versions of policies in the system for audit purposes but the easy work around is to download a dated version after every update. Pros This is a very helpful tool for myself and the managers to use. Pros This is a one stop shop for HR Materials that are recent and relevant. It is saving me time and money (indirectly) by being able to access materials I need to run my business. Cons It wasn't as easy to use the Employee Handbook template as I thought it would be because we had already captured some information. I had expected something a bit more user friendly with the transfer of data to and from this feature. The formatting was helpful, but to engage the team in content review, the back and forth with this feature was actually a bit time consuming. It also took a few tries for the team members to get access to the tools. I believe we are still working on one addition. Pros I often use the feature designed to pull a report, by state, for laws within specific topics. Great resource and abilit to download into PDF and send along is terrific. October 18, 2021 5.0 It was particularly helpful during the pandemic with all the rapidly changing regulations. As a small firm it is not always easy to keep up in such an environment. Pros It's great to be able to narrow down research to information that deals with our state. I don't need to know about other states and this really helps. The wide variety of reference guides, forms and policies always give me a great jumping off point when writing new policies or revising old ones. I have been most satisfied with the exemption report tool as well as the support from employment lawyers on getting tough questions answered. Pros HR Hero is the most comprehensive and updated HR compliance source that I have found. While it is expensive for my small business, it is so valuable! The compliance advice is extremely detailed, up-to-date, and the digests about what is changing and when is so helpful. Cons As a consultant that uses HR Hero in a way that most users probably don't utilize it, it is expensive for the way we use it (getting compliance updates, occasional exemption reports for workplaces) but I trust the source so much that I deal with the cost. From keeping abreast of changes in state and federal regulations to being able to gather enough information to train managers and staff. Pros The Ease of Use and the Value of HR Hero are fantastic. The ability to compare federal regulations with each state regulation is very important for companies that operate in multiple, if not all, states. Cons I can't think of anything at the moment. The platform is pretty self-explanatory. So I really have nothing else to say.
