Reporting on our pipeline through the portal is very helpful and document storage and distribution works great. Managing commitments and investment transactions is pretty straight forward and easy to edit if needed. Cons It's definitely not as good-looking and more clunky than some other investment management software. And customer support turnaround times can be days or weeks. CFO Real Estate Used the software for: 2+ years ### "Time Saver" September 11, 2023 5.0 Overall, we've had a great experience with Investment Manager. I'm able to complete our quarterly reporting in 2-3 days by myself. Before Investment Manager, it would take 2-3 people 2 weeks to do. Pros Once everything is set up, it greatly reduces the amount of work needed on a quarterly basis. Accruals and distributions are now calculated with Investment Manager and can be run in much less time. We were also able to automate the report that goes to our investors quarterly, saving days of work each quarter. Cons The transfer function is clunky and not very intuitive to use. Cons There is always a lag with the data or upgrades. When we email out to investors, there is a hiccup and it takes a really long time to send out monthly correspondence for all 200+ emails. Seems that the testing done for the product is done thoroughly when upgrades or was initially rolled out. It also has a consistent interface that's fairly easy to navigate. Cons The Fundraising feature is focused on individual property investments rather than pooled fundraising in a Fund with many investments. This has reduced redundancies, inconsistencies and duplication of data entry and provides much better control and governance. It allows quick and easy access to KPI that will help business decision makers make quicker, more effective decisions. Cons There is an issue we've run into with showing both Occupancy data along with Returns data, but that could be a function of our structures and where we store each bit of data. It would be helpful if we were able to utilize the Ownership Map table to show data at each level on a single widget. Reason for choosing Yardi Investment Manager We have a directive to eliminate technical debt, and since we use Voyager as our main application, we try to keep everything in a single stack.
